I bought one about 2 months ago. It's the best sight i have ever used.
Man, that's so great to hear! I'm psyched to use it!
Josh, I have going back and forth on this sight. I bought the Spot Hogg Triple stack, and I returned it. Been looking at the BG dual track. I really appreciate your video talking about BG and Axcel. Depending on how you set up the Axcel sight, the cost is getting in the same neighborhood of the Canyon Pounder. I look forward to your “real life” experience with this sight. Thanks again for all of the great information you put out there. I bought and read your book as well. I guess that makes me a real fan. Lol😂
Hey, thanks for that Kevin! Man, they are all good sights right? Just gotta find the one that works best for your particular set up and style of hunting. I think I'm gonna like the Canyon Pounder. Stoked to see how it all shakes out.
I used an axcel carbon pro sight bar with an ultraview double pin scope last year and never had anything move. That sight was solid. I beat my gear to hell in AZ desert terrain mostly. This year I'm running an HHA tetra max bar with an ultraview 3 pin. Loving it so far. I dig the ultraview scopes. I think the canyon pounder looks interesting, but I don't like where the knobs to dial the sight are located.
Sounds awesome. That's interesting about the knob bit. I actually wasn't a fan of where the Axcel knob was, because I felt like my fingers would run into the locking lever. I guess time will tell though if I like where they are on the Canyon Poundee though. What I do like is that I believe I can choose to either dial with the top knob or the bottom. Thanks for chiming in! 👊🏼
That is many pins
I've always preferred 5 pins over anything else. That's just me personally though. Gotta do what is right for you. 💪🏼
When you’re younger and have good vision! Plus, the ability to hold very steady on target is a major part of a multi pin sight.
Gotta make a good long video of you sighting in. Hopefully on a calm day-lol on that! I know you shoot way better than me but I normally take at least three good quality sighting in sessions. Helps me verify my marks because I don’t shoot the same every time. I assume it has an adapter for standard type mounting?
You bet! I'm excited to go through the process and hopefully it isn't windy, haha. Yes, they offer standard mounts, bridge-lock, and dovetail as well.
One of my friends has a Canyon Pounder sight and loves it. It looks like it is very well built. I'm sticking with my Mathews branded 5 fixed pin Axcel sight though. I set my top pin at 20 yards and my bottom pin at 60 yards. Then I set my other pins according to a graph. It's been money for me.
Great to hear Roy. Hey, that's awesome. Glad it's working out for you. 💪🏼
Nice unboxing video Josh. I knew as soon as you said that this item was a bow sight that it was the Option Archery 🏹 Canyon Pounder. Definitely a unique and interesting sight.
The main reason why most people don’t use it is because it’s high price. Obviously it’s robust and has some sweet features that make the price what it is but it is out of range for most.
Thanks Forrest. It's definitely on the steep side of things for sure. With that being said, we pay some crazy prices for bows, optics, etc. It feels like you definitely get what you pay for with this Canyon Pounder. Time will tell!
(CORRECTION ) Wow, I'm subscribed with notifications and NOT receiving the videos... that's not good.
Thanks James!
