Use the cool flex melt for inserts. You then just heat it up for a sec and the insert will come back out. Never had an issue of them coming out. Also great for indexing fixed blades

I use the same glue, and it does set up very quick, but I’ve never seen it do that lol , that was literal seconds

lol first time for me too, I think it was because it is warm outside. Crazy!

In all my 3-d (ASA HUNT CLASS)and hunting shooting I use the same arrow build. I also have a target bow setup for other ASA classes. I’ve had great results with Black Eagle Carnivores for several years now. I do very little shooting past 60 yards so the AAE max stealth at 2 degrees straight offset works great. I always, over 50 years) use two or four blade fixed heads. Brass inserts + head = 150 grains up front. I have never ever used a mechanical as that’s just an added variable setting up for failure IMO.

That’s awesome and same line of thinking I have, shoot the same arrow everywhere and really get to know it. I saw the black eagle guys at the tent in PA a few weeks ago, we are heading to Utah next week and I will swing by the tent and check out the carnivores.

    Do you square the ends?

Depends on how my cutting is going on a given day 😁 most times like with this set I can get a nice square cut right off the saw, but when I do mess one up (with isn’t all the rare!) I will square it off with a sanding tool. I was just at an event where there was a new saw (modsaw I think is was called) it had a square tool built right in, if I ever upgrade to a setup like that I may square every one!

if it spins true flys true it will get the job done to many people are hung up on custom crap and expensive stuff that no one needs at all but many want and try and drive it down the rest of us and its proven to all be BS ..

I agree with you. If it spins/flies true it will get it done! I have found more consistency with this build (especially at extended range) but have also flung plenty of off the shelf arrows with good results. What arrows are you shooting?
