Hi kev, that paste on the chassis is to control the motor's thermals, since the aluminum chassis is a very good heat conductor. Basically the chassis is used as a massive cooling component

Maxx. The kraton 4s is a glorified granite. Shares a ton of it's parts with the 3s line. The maxx is a whole new thing. Besides that, the maxx is also more durable.
@@gasolinediesel972 are you stupid? Granite and Kraton aren’t even the same chassis. At least compare it to one of the LWB 3s arrmas. Start there and come back when you are more educated

welcome to the 124019 club!!!! in order to get that pinion gear out you have to remove the rear end cover all the way on both sides. The front has to come off as well. Make sure you grease the gears inside the gear boxes as well. Foam tires all around

Hey Kev, cool video. Thats awesome your expanding your cars based on opinion. For what its worth the Redcat Kaiju is worth looking at. Reliable standing backflips out of the box on 6s, tough truck and less money than the maxx or arrma 6s. Dont get me wrong, 3s and 6s arrma rigs are awesome. I just find the kaiju is my go to basher. Bash on.

Make sure to get a brushless kit for it and some nice grippy 1/10 tires for it. I just converted my 144 into the 124 and added a brushless setup + extended the wheels by 1cm. She RIPS!!
The arrma granite 4x4 3s was my first truck and I loved it. It's a tank only thing I've had to replace is a new body and the steering arm screw came out. Then I recently picked up the senton too lol both amazing rc's
I absolutely loved the granite 3s when I owned it. Needed the least out of the box to take an absolute thrashing out of any rc I've owned. Once it had some RPM arms on it, it almost never broke.
I got a Granite 3s because I tried 3 different MJX trucks and each one had a different failure after a couple weeks.
My Granite has higher clearance and more room around the steering arms, so rocks don't block the steering and cause parts to fall off.
Yeah, the Granite is a great truck.
Oh yeah!!! This could be awesome!!! Ok 59mph on 2s with stock tires. This should easily hit 100 with tires and a 4s esc 👊👊👍👍

The white stuff under the motor of the 124019 is actually like heat sink paste similar to the one use on a computer processor. It uses the metal chassis as big heat sink.

Just bought a Granite one week ago. First thing I did was lowering the body, best optical decision.
My 1.5year old will not go to sleep if he hasn't watched one of your videos. Out of all the other channels, you are his favourite. Keep bashing, he loves it.
Hey I have a question about the e revo. I upgraded my E revo (1.0 or original idk what to call it) from brushed to brushless. Now it has a brushless motor and the E revo 2.0 esc and ever since I upgraded it I’ve gotten this lag between going forward and backwards. Basically instead of trying to instantly go forwards when I’m going backwards (or vice versa) it stops and I have too put the throttle on neutral and then the way I wanna go again. But it usually takes three to four throttle resets for it to actually start moving again. If it was just go forward break set it to neutral and go again I wouldn’t care but I have to set it to neutral several times before. It’s just a huge delay and it makes the whole experience feel slow and clumsy

I have many of the WL Toys cars including this one. Several are high kv brushless conversions and the biggest issue is getting them to stay straight at high speed. I have hit 70 a few times.

I have one with 120 amp 10BL120 ESC + 3650 brushless 3100 KV platinum from surpass hobby and it is a Monster on steroids, ESC and motor stays cool at the point you can drive non stop for 2 hours as long you have spare 3S or 2 s batteries. I have 2 others with 2838 and 2848 brushless motors with 35AMP and 60 Amps with 17T pinion mods and it is also pure madness jumping high on dirt track and still more than 60 Km/h on 2s and around 75/90 Km/h on 3S. And after all of this I still love to drive my others 144001 with stock brushed motors daily on my garden tracks.
