This is the first song of BTS that I checked out way back and yes, it's catchy. By the way with regards to this version, this is the version that they use during tours that's why Halsey doesn't have that much part but on the album/studio version, Halsey has more parts ❤❤

If you listen to the studio track, you’ll hear Halsey’s voice more. I remember the video Boy With Luv Explained by DKDKTV was really good, because it pointed out things I wouldn’t have picked up from the music video which gives more depth to the meaning of this song. I think you’ll like it, it’s pretty cool :)
So like most people said in comments official album audio has her mixed more, but still in the same way like here, bc we can't take away fact that this is album title track, single so it is obvious that they had to perfirm it a lot, and they did like a ton, so this typ of collab it is in a way more fair, they don't have to cut her parts for performances, or sings for her, it can be still part as background track, etc.
And we knoe she was very happy with this way they did it, she go to korea for them to be in mv and kerned choreo to be feature in MV... And they had fun.
But going back to official audio, "Boy with luv" has actually second MV and innthis second MV they used official audio, it us called "Army with luv". It is midtly the same but they used different cuts from recordings and it is s little different edited. It is really funny and nice MV and to little talked about, (bc it should be everyone go to too after official mv 😋).
Some people recommented Dkdktv explanation it is very simple, short and nice explanation, I also think it is worth watching.
So about Halsey there is also "Suga's Interlude" did you listen to this song?

Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. My intro song was Boy with Luv ft. Halsey. She got me curious about the guys. Jimin also caught my eyes. With his pink hair and singing and dancing. So bloody cute. And I hate pink!!! I was a Jimin stan for a long time until I became OT7 and than Suga came as my wrecker. This is a weekly struggle yearly too. lol. Halsey was the 1st artist to ask the guys to teach her their choreo. And she was only able to do a little of it. They do real choreo in Korea nothing like what they do here she said behind the scenes. She is a good friend to them. She text's RM all the time. The guys gave her her own sparkly mic. She really loved theirs. I don't know if u noticed but now American artists are using sparkly mic's too. BTS sets' the standards u know, lol. Halsey gave the guys as presents a pink tennis bracelet they loved it. So cute! For a long time I did not know that this one was a deep song. It's an Army song for Army. But later the more I watched and read comments the more I learned. I hope that u watch the choreo for this one. The live one was a gift to us for festa. So yes, it was filmed the year the song came out and they only now sharing it with us. They horde a LOT of videos. The last one was for a music bank or award show. That's the only time they wear name tags. =0] Suga collabed with Halsey a few times the most resent being Lilith. I think u reacted to it. Great song. Boy In Luv was about high school boys chasing a crush on a girl.
Boy With Luv - they realize that the truest love is their relationship with ARMY. (Halsey represents ARMY here. She wasn't expected to dance, but she decided she wanted to try).
Both choreographies end with them doing "I love you" in sign language.
So like NO which is the other part of ON this one too has its connected piece. They always connecting the songs to each other. They really thoughtful like that. Great spotting Andrew with the signs. U learning fast! Boy with Luv is another song of theirs. An old one but a good one. =0)
Fun fact: Boy with Luv is the most viewed BTS mv and also the most viewed kpop song by a boy group. Also, V's fancam of Boy With Luv is the most viewed fancam of all time!

As others have said this song is for ARMY. RM said it's like we are family. Because they ACTUALLY tweet and fancafe all the time asking about us and what we're doing but we do the same to them. We are always asking have they eaten, did they rest, how are they feeling etc. He called ARMY Mom because we worry so much over them. Suga did change his voice up for the beginning of his rap. He plays with sounds a lot. The dance is so simple because this is a video for us, so we can do the dances as well. Also the video is an homage to Singin in the Rain. The movie shares dates with BTS: the movie opened on April 12th and came out officially in theaters on April 13th, the same as this comeback. In the RM part did you notice all the neon signs, they were the titles of their old albums and maybe a hint to the next album.

I read somewhere (I hope I'm not spreading false stuff!) that Halsey was offered to have a whole verse but she refused saying that song is perfect and she doesn't want to change it's vibe. Someone already mentioned, album/single version has more of her vocals (more lines in the chorus) and more addlibs.
Halsey has song SUGA's interlude, produced and featured by SUGA, on one of her albums. They even performed it together at Yoongi's concert ni LA.

This song is the second song I heard from BTS after Mic Drop. The song and the MV are so different from Mic Drop, I was shocked. It’s very catchy indeed.

This MV showcased the song version BTS was going to sing for performances. So it had to have less Halsey. If you go to the album version she is featured heavily.

You should listen to the official audio version if you want to hear more of Halsey singing. They had her more in the audio so that it's easier to be able to sing Boy With Luv in concerts when she's not there ❤
