Love oatmeal cookies or Little Debbie's Oatmeal Creme Pies, but don't love that they have over 50 carbs per cookie??? Me too. That's why I make a low carb version that is almost zero net carbs per cookie!! And with just a few tricks, we can get that iconic oat flavor while keeping the soft chewy texture and keeping it low carb!

Might I suggest that you also add some nutmeg, clove, and ginger powder, it has a way better flavor imo that's how I make my soft spiced cookies, the cloves and ginger give it a sweeter taste.
Thank you for the tip! How much of each would you recommend for this recipe?
@@technicolorbutterfly9756 If we're using her measurements for this recipe I'd suggest 1/2 tspoon of each, tiny amount but it makes a huge difference.
I just made these today for my wife and I. We both are turned off by the erythritol cooling effect which really detracts from the overall flavor (which is otherwise quite good, actually). So, I really should have known and just substituted allulose from the get go. This made a LOT of cookie sammiches, so most of them are going to be frozen and brought out over the holidays this year.
Same here. Unfortunately, Allulose (or Monk Fruit/Allulose blend) cause bloating, nausea and other unpleasant effects in many - myself included.
You remain one of the best Keto Channels, very informative too (on the oat fibre tip). This recipe will be in my future baking bits.. Happy low-carb baking everyone xx
Molasses will favorably assist cookies structure; considerably in this application. Minerals for me, lol! 😊
Yes, I don’t think I’m going to be making these exact cookies but it was a fun video to watch. Definitely going to be buying some oat fiber as I miss oat meal. I also used to put oats in meatloaf. Worth a try.
@@SRose-vp6ewI never thought about trying it in meatloaf..... have you tried it yet?
No sure what the brown sugar she’s adding
I flip cookies and biscuits halfway through baking. This prevents burned bottoms and ensures the middles are done. 😊
yes, the filling does have a marshmallowy taste... because it's basically an 'industrial' marshmallow buttercream. they used to say 'marshmallow cream filling' through the 70s, maybe 80s... not sure why they dropped it.
these look great! will be trying with real molasses. & dont forget a bit of cimnnamon
*now do nutty buddys, star crunch, swiss rolls & strawberry shortcake rolls and youll be my best friend!* 😃
Second vote for star crunch😂
Nutty buddys-YES!
@@CherylLeMay *THE BEST*
do you eat yours whole or do you eat it layer by layer? i eat the cookie than lick the pb cream... they pull apart nice and easy. i thopught i was the only one... come to find out a lot of people it em that way lol
U are my favorite Keto focus person ever. Love ur recipes and informative explanation.
This is absolutely the one recipe I would have picked for a keto dessert! Oatmeal cream pies are my FAVORITE 🤩
Nice timing, I was just looking for a recipe for these 2 days ago and wasn't happy with the few examples youtube had. So nice that this video dropped.
I loved the oatmeal crème pies in high school. So good. I’ll probably try this keto friendly option
You must have a cast iron digestive system. I have issues as a result of too many keto foods involving almond flour, turmeric, cacao, cinnamon, etc... all high oxalate foods. They really wrecked me. I felt fantastic for the first few months, then got symptoms of oxalate dumping like gut sensitivities, skin problems, irritated eyes, joint pain, and other issues. 😢
It has been 4 years of trying to clear my body of this toxin.
From what I've researched, some people are more sensitive to oxalates than others.
Unfortunately, the person won't know until it's too late if they are one of the unlucky people and then it can take a long time to get well again.
I just ordered the marshmallow cream flavoring and I decided to use the gingerbread flavoring instead of the molasses extract. I can’t wait to make these! Thanks!!
I made these today with my granddaughter. I used molasses instead of flavoring and omitted the marshmallow flavoring and they are still delicious. Thanks for a great recipe.
Awesome. Now do nutty bars please :)
Those look delicious. Thank you for the recipe.
Wow! I love it. Little Debbie was one of the hardest foods I gave up when I dropped the sugar. And it's so hard to walk around the display in the grocery store. But now I don't have to. Thank you!!!
Ohhh thank you, my husband loves these & they’re soooo tempting sitting in our pantry, so I’m very excited to give these a try! ❤
I have tried to do this on my own and it always seemed to be missing something. Definitely giving this a try! Little Debbie Oatmeal Pies are one of my favorites!
I finally made these and GIRRRL they are AMAZING!!❤
Thank you! Seeing this recipe almost made me cry because I missed grabbing Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies on the way to work and on road trips. 💙
Wow! Do these ever look delicious! 😊However, this Canadian🇨🇦Does not know what a Little Debbie cake tastes like… they are not sold here🇨🇦 But just watching you bake…with all that butter🧈🧈🧈 how could you possibly go wrong⁉ What a great video‼ I love your recipes, your presentation, and how you cook keto‼
Thank you‼Time for a BULLETPROOF ☕COFFEE‼

It’s not your batter, it’s your bowl. Use one with vertical sides instead of sloped sides and you will have less mess. 😉
Thank you! I have been looking for recipes like this that do not require that they be stored in the refrigerator! This will work well!
You are amazing lady.
This looks sooooo good
Thank you for the recipe.
Great recipe. I used the cookies to make ice cream sandwiches! (Breyers carb smart). Thanks so much!
can’t wait for the temp to go down , will be making these for sure 🧡
These look really good!
💜🥰😘
I absolutely love little debbie oatmeal creme pies, I miss them - definitely will be naking these!
I just made these and they're so good!!
Love, Love these! They turned out just like you said they would. My husband loves them and my co-workers love them as well, and they aren't keto people.
When I lived in the south I became a fan of Lil Debbie oatmeal crème pie... thank you x3 the obsession lives!
Looks fabulous…. Must try
Thank you for this! Since going keto, I have missed Oatmeal Creme pies!
Wow, so much work and ingredients.
Really amazing recipe once again! And might I add that you look absolutely fantastic 😊
omgeesh i love this! I'll be making this, but I'll add some lupin flakes to give it that oatmeal texture
Starcrunch was my jam. These look very good.
I've been looking for mollases flavoring! Thank you!
Yum, that looks so delicious
Oh my goodness these look amazing I am definitely going to give them a try have you thought of doing a cookbook? I would run to buy mine thanks for sharing ❤😊
I would buy it too!
Me three 🌻🌻🌻
Excellent recipe friend
This recipe showed up on my Instagram yesterday and I actually asked you if you had it on your CZcams channel. FOUND IT! Annnnnd apparently I watched it 3 months ago because I had already given it a thumbs up AND I knew you were going to toss the Little Debbie's box away. :sigh: Yay, for memory loss. (insert sarcasm tone there)
I always get discouraged when I see a recipe calls for Swerve brown sugar substitute. A small bag is almost $13 which is unfeasible if someone wants to bake a lot. I use erythritol monk fruit blend for almost everything. Is there ANY other brown sugar substitute? By the way you deserve way more viewers, this channel is great. 😊
It’s official, you’re my new BFF!❤🎉
Wow! I am making this!!! ❤🔥🔥🔥
Ue a larger bowl to avoid the over-splatter!
An article compared Quaker Oats Strawberry US product to UK product.
Interesting, UK had roughly 6 ingredients compared to mega list of US additives.
Chemicals are being pumped into Americans-& for many yrs.
Good thing that's not an ingredient here 🙄
Dang! Nicely done!!!!!
Looks delicious:)
Thank you. This is a great recipe. And THANK YOU so much for not putting music in your video. I am so grateful. I am Autistic and music in videos can make them impossible for me to watch. Thank you so much for omitting it. ❤
😂 “Its all for looks”! I love your recipes and everything you prepare always looks so presentable which is why I like your vids!!
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoy the recipes and my commentary 😂
Hey, Annie! I wasn't ever a Little Debbie fan. Don't get me wrong - if offered one, I would have "yes, please" probably half the time, depending on the item, but I never bought them for myself. Maybe 2-3 times a year for long car rides, especially if I packed a picnic lunch for the family or for the very occasional lunchbox treat. For myself? I had other forbidden treats. 😂
Having said all of that, oatmeal raisin cookies were my faves for a long time. Then I couldn't eat oats or oatmeal due to GI issues so... When I went keto, nothing changed for me here. I've even avoided oat fiber because of being unsure of the GI thing (I have no problem with it on keto grounds). This may be where I decide to test it! I might just make the cookies plain to see how I fare first then maybe step it up to include filling. 😂 Thanks for this. I also think I might just use a bit of real molasses. Spread over 36 cookies (not sandwiched) the sugar would be almost nil.
Awesome! You needed a deeper bowl for mixing 😂
I love all your videos. Meanwhile, binge watching Hijack…😂😂😂. I did that too. You just can’t not watch the next episode. It was awesome. Another quest though. Do you think Lupin flour would work instead of almond? I’m allergic to tree nuts (not coconut though)
I also sprinkle a few real oatmeal flakes on the cookies before I bake them for foolies!
Love your recipes and have made several but this one (I used powdered erythritol for the filling) was so sweet we had to throw them away. Also when you print your recipe from the website, the eggs are missing but I remembered from the video you had add them and I put them in mine.
These look so good. My daughter loves these and has them in her school lunch. I always feel so guilty giving her these. I think I'll check out that oat fiber and see if she'll like this alternative. Thanks for the recipe!
You're welcome! My kids got a box of the real thing a few months ago for a camping trip. I felt the same way and wanted to try a sugar free version. They didn't know they were keto!
You're very talented
So, in my junk food era, I would do a little debbie's sammy. 1 star crunch sandwiched between 2 oatmeal cream pies. Could you do a recipe dupe for the starcrunch with that cacao bliss?
I like that you use a 1/4 sheet because that what fits in my oven! 😂
I have to bake this! ❤
These look really good. A further advantage to having this recipe is that Little Debbie is no longer sold in Canada. Of course, I couldn't have their honey buns anymore, but damn, they were tasty. Is there any chance of a keto copycat for those? Thanks for this recipe. They will be my next keto baking adventure.
I love cacao bliss it so yummy
Thank you for this recipe. Looks great. MY baking pans turn very brown, is there a method to keeping them cleaner longer? I do use parchment paper or tin foil. Any suggestions? I usually toss the pans out and buy new one's.
Shout out to Idris! I binged this till 2am! I need these on a plate now...🤤
Thank you for sharing. I want to try this. But I am wondering how many total carbs this is? Due to health issues, total carbs is important to me. Thanks ❤
Have you tried freezing them? I'm the only one eating whatever keto things I make, and I don't want to be tempted to eat too many.
You never cease to amaze me with your awesome recipes. Thank you so much. This was my favorite treat as a child. I tried the real one as an adult and had to spit it out. So gross. I can't wait to make these. 😊😊😊
Best keto channel
Awww 🥰 Thank you❤️❤️❤️
can you use Lupin flour instead of oat fiber?
Brown sugar has molasses in it - that is what gives it the color and smell.
What if your allergic to oats what can you use in place of it
I love little Debbie. This will be a game changer
These are my favorite cookies. I only get one like once or twice a year though
Not sure what i did wrong but my cookies did not set up. I used the swerve brown sugar. Only difference was using a teaspoon of real molasses. But great flavor!
You’re speaking my language with this one!!
@@Dusty_marlow
What??
@@Dusty_marlow
Um, nope. Not a joke, really. 🤷🏼♀️ But glAd you amused yourself, anyway.
Yum!!!
Made these twice and even though they are hard to deal with before baking, I’m figuring it out. Still haven’t even made the filling, but damn these are tasty. And, they are still good like up to 5 days.
God bless you for this recipe! 😂
To control mess, put your bowl in the sink and then mix away
Are the macros listed anywhere? Thanks in advance:)
Did you follow her link to her webpage?
So yummy looking
nice.
How to substitute oat fiber
I love little Debbie!
YUM!
How to I store them
I really dont care what little debbie wants I want this recipe for my health❤
Do you have any other uses for oat fibers than these cookies, especially bread or savory stuff? I have considered buying it but not really understood what to use it for.
You can add oat fiber to any baked good. Just a few tablespoons - it really helps with the "bread like" texture. I have other recipes on my website that use oat fiber too.
I can't bake; can you send my a dozen! LOL!
LOL! Maybe one day.
Have you ever thought of selling your Keto oatmeal cream pies? I would certainly be interested in buying them from you! You should start a line of Keto friendly snacks!
I would love to if I ever built a team of people to help handle that! Maybe one day...
Now do Star Crunch 😂
I usually really like your recipes. The cookie part does taste very similar to the little debbies. Unfortunately, these were way too sweet for me, and I could only eat two bites. I haven't found a keto butter cream frosting that I am able to eat yet, though.
Never ate Little Debbie even when I was consuming cane sugar!
hi I really like the recipe but have one question! Do you have any recommendation to replace the marshmallow flavoring? I was going to buy one but with my epilepsy, i cant eat artificial flavorings. thank you
You could just omit it. I tried to use sugar free marshmallows, melt them down and whip them into the frosting but it made a big mess 😂
thank you for the advice, and telling me how your adventure trying ot replace it went
I think I would eat like 5 of those! lol
Yummmmm😋
UK almond floor pricing is catching up with printer ink....
Yikes really?!
Avocado honey also tastes like molasses. Actually, it tastes better.
I've never tried avocado honey. Where do you get it?
What is the total carb for just a single cookie, not the sandwich?
