- I have a seat slider in my boat and I like it so well I am installing another on my second seat in the Twin Troller X10. In addition, I will provide a discount code for my viewers to use when purchasing a slider or any other marine item that Springfield Marine Products sells. Follow me as I install the seat slider and reveal that discount code for you to use.

HELPFUL TIP ABOUT THE DISCOUNT:
I saw somebody commented that the discount code isn’t working, so I thought I’d provide this info. for anyone who’s experiencing the same issue.
The promotion can’t be added on top of other promotions. Cascade Depot currently offers a free shipping promotion for orders $50+. When you’re checking out, the shipping method dropdown has a “free shipping” option. If you select that option, then Mr. Gerry’s special code won’t work.
I hope that helps!!
Thanks Bethany! Gerry
Your videos are always so concise and spot on! As always, well done Gerry.
Thanks for the kind words Bob. Gerry
Good hands on video Gerry. Would like to see a still shot with you sitting in the seat of the Twin Troller facing port or starboard with the bracket pushed all the way back.
Gmans, I am usually alone in the boat but I will see if I can snap the photo and get back into the seat before the picture is taken! 🏎. Gerry
Remember we got to keep John Happy. He can tell fish stories with the best of us. I might just do a seat slider one day as it's getting harder to turn around sometimes. I know now how my garage gets messy somedays because I too get rid of the trash I'm working with in the same way you do with a good toss. Hope your trip up north went well.
Steve, You made me laugh as much as John does!
It was a great trip up north, other than seeing snow falling in April! Gerry
@@LunkerFishing Well no snow here right now and just loving the spring rains. I did drop a line from shore but other than a couple of small Rock Bass I got skunked
Steve, I fished behind the house tonight. First time fishing since I returned home from the cold north. I caught six bass, all small. In a past video I showed how I tag my fish in the lakes in my community when I catch them. One fish I caught tonight had a tag that had been there so long it was the color of the bass. It was also tagged in such a way the I could tell I transplanted that fish here from a lake outside of my community. It was very healthy and doing well in my lake. I caught them all on a 1/8 oz Charlie Brewer spider slider head with a 4' hand poured worm I make myself. Gerry
@@LunkerFishing Sounds good and did you happen to catch Andrews new video where he just goes out and buys not one but two Skidsteers. I like Andrew cause he worked for everything he has. I'm so sick of some of these people these days that won't work because they are getting paid more to sit home on their Ass than they can make at a job.
Yes, I watched him today. He has amassed quite a bit of equipment over the past year. Gerry
G ,Thank You . l like your video. Like they say keep it simple .
Joe, simple is the way to go! Gerry
Thanks for the code 😊
You are welcome Patty! Gerry
This Is A Good One, For The Small Boat It Could Definitely Give ya some leg Room , especially if your 6 ft or so like me , thanks Jerry ,tight Lines to ya 🦈🎣👀
I agree Donnie! Gerry
Love it Gerry! I think I’ll pick up a couple myself.
Ronald, the slider is one of the best comfort things I installed on my boat. Gerry
@@LunkerFishing I’m all about comfort these days.
As usual, nice job, Gerry! I had back surgery this year and was not able to get the boat out and now winter is upon us here in Michigan. Looking forward to getting back on the water in 2022!
Ron, I hope you are feeling better. 2022 is going to be your best year! Gerry
Hi Jerry, I've had my Twin Troller since 2012 and have really enjoyed it over the years. I fly-fish from it 50% of the time and you can imagine how being able to steer and control the boat with your feet while using two hands to control and manage fly line (which goes everywhere) is a huge benefit. I've had many pleasant conversations with Frank Jones over the years about the boat, even suggesting he run for President, the boat is that good. Does it have it's drawbacks? Sure it does, but its very unique and capable. Every time I take it out I'm told what a cool little boat that is. Being 11 years old, it still looks like new as in the winter (in central PA) I keep it off the trailer on its side in the garage and during fishing season its in the driveway with its cover on it. I've upgraded it over the years, with the help of your videos with the reverse pitch prop, a Garmin UHD93sv and a Yamaha 2.5 outboard. I added drain plugs to the rear corners of the hulls (high on the sides makes no sense to me as you have to tip the boat on its side to drain anything.) Anyway I want to comment on this seat slider. Based on your video, I ordered one as it seemed like a good idea being able to slide back to the motor to start and shift it as well as when facing sideways, gives more knee room. However after installing it and it being raised 2" I noticed because of the higher COG, the seat rails wanted to pop out of the tracks if I leaned to far which could result in a dangerous situation. That in addition to the blocks you have used to raise it even higher makes me wonder. I ended up removing it and sending it back. Each to their own, but wanted to caution your readers on a potentially dangerous situation. Keep up the great videos!
Bob, I just came in from fishing in the TT. Water temps are in the 83-84 degree range at sunrise so needless to say fishing was slow. I only caught two but one was 20”, just shy of four pounds.
I agree with everything you said here.
I cannot express how much I like the seat sliders. Do they cause the seats to pop out of the tracks more, I do not know. I did have the seat pop out of the track once but I must admit I was really leaning in the seat. It was quite a surprise since in almost eight years that had never happened. I then lubed the rails but found that was a BIG mistake.
After the lube I found the seat slipping out of the tack easier. I then cleaned the lube and I feel back to normal condition. I am sure if I lean an extraordinary angle and do so with enough force it may pop out of the track.again but I never do that any more.
Lastly, why no videos recently? I cannot accurately tell you how much of a joy it has been to not have to deal with those GoPro cameras. They are constantly overheating so much thatyuuu I turn them off until I catch a fish and while turning them back on I lose them a great fish. I never say never, but I have been leaving the cameras home and thoroughly enjoying my fishing trips.
So do not count me in but do not count me out either.
@@LunkerFishing Hi Jerry, thanks for the reply. I grew up bass fishing in S Florida around the W Palm Beach area but keep moving north (what's wrong with that scenario, right?) so when I see your videos and hear the birds in the background it really takes me back. Thanks! I wish I had the TT back then when fishing those small lakes and canals instead of the $50k bass boat that I never really caught anymore fish in than the TT. My TT mods are to no extent that you have done but I'll send you some photos of my TT if we have a way to communicate.
Thanks, Bob

This is the fabled fisherman, John
Thanks for all the work to improve my comfort

Any way you could load a LAZY-BOY
In the stern ?
John, we could try a Lazy-Boy and a freezer for ice cream too! Gerry
Gerry, this was a timely video for me. Thanks! I was out yesterday and the seat frame welds broke right where they meet the slide bar for the chair railing. Freedom Electric wants $135 for that part which is pricey for me. Do you know who sells the aftermarket seat frames for our Twin Trollers? Thanks in advance. Jim
Jim, I do not know where you can buy one but it seems that would be easy to have welded back on and grind the weld down if needed so there is no interference. That is the first I heard of the bracket breaking. Gerry
@@LunkerFishing Gerry, thanks for the reply. I'm headed to a friends later today to have him give a go at welding it back together. I was asking just in case this doesn't work. Apparently these welds have broken enough where Freedom has the Seat Frame replacement on their website. I noticed the replacement is a different design than my 2012 Twin Troller. Thanks again for all your videos. I've read through some of the comments. Really got a kick out of Kagnewmp12 talking about the lazies. He and I have a lot in common I think. I'm 70, retired and still do consulting work on the side. We may be the last of the tell it like it is generation.
The company would not accept your code of Lunker15 as of a few minutes ago.
