- Today on The Skid Factory We've got Ian's Gen 4 Liberty Wagon in for a few repairs in preparation for SuperCheap Auto Powercruise 91!
Making a reliable 500KW from a 2.5L is a pretty epic achievement and it's done via a Closed Deck & Sleeved EJ25 mated with Spec C EJ207 Heads, a Haltech Elite 2500 controls the show and Boost supplied by a Garrett GTX35/84RS.

I'm pretty sure that's 06:00 UTC, hopefully that makes it a bit easier for people to work out when it is in their own timezones.
Lucky I watched this on my lunchbreak, normally I'm watching after work, by which time I'd have missed it. So I'll knock off early today for "personal reasons"😉

TODAY?!?!?!
Any news old old mates black Xb falcon?
Love any format of build video gents, big or small , I'd watch Al narrating paint drying, love the relaxed and informative vibe of the channel, no clickbait no dramas no shouting
100% with you mate! Just two blokes doing great things in a shed! Do things the TSF way, to hell with the haters!!
the no shouting is so nice haha
The no 'WHATS UP CZcams ITS YA BOY ALLAN HERE' typical CZcams intro is nice to, although it would be a bit of a laugh if Al did it 🤣
Nice👌🏻 laidback and fun! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I only got onboard with the jz Torana project but I haven't missed an episode since, it's usually my Wednesday highlight 😂
I love how Al rips on Subarus the entire time he is working on this.
Great content no matter the format Al and Woody. You need to do what keeps you guys happy, can definitely see how you'd like to get a project in and out the door in one video after staring at a big project for months on end.
At the end of the day it's mostly you guys, the laughs you have with each other, the skill sets you show us and much more besides that keep us all interested, the cars are just a happy byproduct of what you do.
Thank you Al and Woody. ❤️
Same opinion here: If you wanna do big builds I'm happy. If you'd rather get something done in one episode that's also great. Just do what works for you and we'll be around anyway :)
Your content is great either way. Short builds, giant builds, helping friends, even event coverage. It's all good.
Keep it up crew, really enjoying the small builds and revisits thrown in with the long term large builds. Recent edits have been on point as well!
Love the mix up of the format. Great to see you guys having fun.
As a former non-turbo EJ owner, I can confirm the 18hp figure. Might even be a slight over estimate.
That's all right, I'm in the UK and it's still Tuesday! Just googled it and that's 6:00 AM here, so... maybe not.
TSF being one of my favorite CZcams channels, I enjoy all the content regardless of format. Al and Woody are legends.
Love the "day builds". Nice to see the cars come back and progress
Taking the iron lion. Love Japanese engineering but my inner boggan yearns for that car
I agree more iron lion longroof content and progress.
Love it when Al gets a bit punchy. Honestly just want you guys to make the videos that YOU ENJOY MAKING!
Definitely liking the current way you guys are working , any way that works for you guys is good for me .
No dramas and straight cut format is always refreshing. I could watch y'all mod lawn mowers (oh wait) and would enjoy. Keep up the great work!
I think I speak for all when I say, we'll watch anything that you and Woody do Al! Love the long builds but this stuff is awesome too
The one day builds are great. Just do what you want, be happy and the content will reflect it
That ending was bloody epic. Another rippa episode!!!
Great format, keep doing what your doing. Unlike other channels you are getting projects done, running and out the door. modus operandi for most other channels seems to be "this week we get another way out of price project no blue collar man can afford to half finish and push in the corner so we can start another one next week to do the same, In between time let take our one running project out and blow it up due to lack of preparation and push it into the corner too."
Once again Al and Woody are doing a great job, I've never had anything to do with JDM stuff (leaky toilet seats and 8 cylinders are me) but find you guys very informative and entertaining.
Don't matter how ya get the stuff out. Just enjoy what ya do.
911’s also have pull clutches, they solve the clattering with the heaviest dual mass flywheels in sports car history
Variety is the spice of life. Good content is any content where you guys are passing on your years of knowledge. The varied format works well for me as I'm still lovin' the show.
Love all the content guys particularly like when you go into detail with what you’re doing.
I like breaking up the big builds with the quick upgrades. Whatever jobs you upload I will always look forward to Teusday Skid Factory videos
love the banter and ty for all your hard work... look forward to every week vids from you guys..
The iron lion scrubbed up alright after its recent detail, so I'd be taking it!
I love your guys' content! I love how your garage is a garage and not a sparkly gym you bring your car to for work
Variety keeps you fresh and enthused, do what you need as it's all great viewing
Love the sound of straight-cut gears screaming.
I’m here for the knowledge you yield, the dad jokes, and the awesome fabrication! Whatever works best for you but it is always pleasurable to see a start and finish in one clip,
The wagon looks like a good time to me. Very unassuming and very well built with everything you'd need to make power and put it through the driveline reliably.
Love the updates on builds and their continuous modifications and improvements.
MCM does the same mixed format. Big builds. Fixing old things. Doing new things. All sorts.
All good.
This type of video is all part of it. When you build a car, it just doesn't stop there. It is good to see that there is also an evolution and that these blokes hold onto some of their built cars.
Some more content on how they drive, not just on the track would be good.
Keep it up.
Love seeing the cars being used and enjoyed, keep building and show them being driven
Yep, I was just saying to a mate how I like the small builds and quick updates to old builds in amongst the campaigns 👌
Love maintenance vids! Good to see how all the old cars are going
Have been loving the videos and am glad you’ve been able to have a bit of a breather between big builds.
Like the seeing you lads get stick in and get things sorted, also like the engine conversion stuff, so keep on keeping on, thanks for sharing fellas!
I love that you do short builds/repairs/upgrades/reviews between the big builds, its a welcome alteration and keeps things fresh
Any content from the skid factory is great content!!
Loving the format keep up the great work as always lads. Thank you.
I love all the different formats, big builds, day builds, TSF content is #1 on my watchlist all the time.
I like these quick single-videos the length of the individual videos is perfect and they're fun to see all the other projects you've been a part of or just other fun Aussie builds, keep em coming!
The content is always good, it's cool to add some different stuff here and there alongside your big builds
Great video. Good to see blokes that know what their doing 👏
Cheers dudes, its good to see a pair of mechanics do the normal sorts of jobs as well as the epic buildage. Thanks for making the effort.
Great episode. The change up on the style is good!
What I like most about skid factory is just Al talking about the process and details of repairing and modifying odd cars, it doesn't matter how long the projects are, I enjoy learning bits here and there.
Enjoying the variety. Learn stuff all the time be it in the one day builds or the big long builds.
The great about tour channel is the variety lads. It keeps the show real, its honest content, you don't want to be a show with a set format, I reckon that would take the fun out of it and make it less fun for you lads, and after all isn't that the point. It's real life building of real people cars. It's not buy-fix-sell-repeat like so many good channels have become. Be real and keep up the great work 🤙👍🇮🇪🇦🇺
Keep doing what you're doing lads. Long builds are great as well as the short stuff.
I like any vid where Al is stepping through the detail of what’s going on and good to mix up between longer builds and drive in drive out. Keep it up
That was mint. Really enjoyable to see something come together. Al & his comments about dog box changes & his comments about how miniature everything is in the Subi were a hoot! ✌️
Love all the videos. You guys make quality content 👌
Man you guys do what you do. I'll always watch.
Variety is the spice of life so keep the random content coming.
The addition of small upgrades is also really interesting. It’s the video style that makes it so good. Keep it cranking boys
I like the mix of big builds and these smaller single video projects. The bigger builds are really interesting as they are a deep-dive into a full build and the smaller projects are really satisfying to watch. Start to finish, with the end result in action, in 30 minutes is great. Coming along for a six month project is equally great, seeing all the pieces come together, to become a spectacular car.
The banter and fun you're having makes any format a good watch. That is what the vast majority of TV shows are lacking. Keep up the great work and thanks for all the entertainment!
Loving a bit of varied stuff, long projects, short projects, all good stuff
Great content, couple of proper good guys
Another awesome video from the Skid Factory! Love all of your content guys.
Whether it be a major build over multiple episodes, solo episodes reviewing a mates car, or a school ball run for the grommet. It’s all good.
My favourite CZcams channel by far.
yeh all good. the short(ish) jobs are just as interesting to watch as the longer(ish) ones. just love the realness of it all. you guys rock 👌👌👌
I'm good with whatever content you folks want to put out. The One and Done format is a nice change from the Major Build. The Major Builds are cool because I can learn and/or dream through them.
Both formats are great !
Awesome work as always. Love the variety.
Even the shorter builds like this are top notch educational entertaining content, keep em coming in whatever form y'all enjoy. I learn a little nugget from every one pretty much.
All vids are cracking boys, been following for a long long time now. Great content and well explained.
Love to see gramps back n given a new box❤️
Love your work, boys, all of it!
yeah, i love this show. i feel like it doesnt even matter the size and scope of the builds, there's something about watching you guys work on cars that does it for me. even when youre not working on cars, its still great to watch. 100% my favourite youtube channel... Id take the BP because i think its the best car ever lol
It’s great to throw in a one and done episode.
Love everything you guys do!!
Keep doing what your doing guys. Its a great mix of big interesting builds and an awesome insight into how and why you do things. Without all the BS click bait.
Great content and love the change. Still love the long builds though so don't stop... please
Love the format! I think I would like anything you guys do.---------Definitely understand that idea of getting in small jobs for friends. Been doing the same at home for my good friends and family. More satisfying and inspiring for the big jobs coming up.
Love this form of content, but honestly happy with whatever keeps you guys making grouse content! Love it!
just do what you do ,its all good to watch and learn a few new things
I will watch whatever you two blokes put out its all great
Good job Al and Woody and thanks Ian for the roll racing clips
I like both styles of content, whether it's a series or 'a day in the life' and I am really happy you guys persevered with the content as the show just keeps getting better! So glad the mcm guys introduced turbo yoda to the show or I probably wouldn't have found skid factory goodness
Any skid factory content is good content 🤘🏼
Yeah real good to see some in and out car adjustments!! More please
Love all your content, keep up the great work Al and Woody 👍🏻👌🏻💪🏻
Great bonus seeing the car get tuned and thrashed at the end!
It is satisfying seeing you guys complete the job in one episode, I like
Like the new format guys 👍
Love the work fellas!
Street cred at the track is why I've got straight cut gears in my Civic... it makes 100kw at the wheels, downhill, with a tail wind, still sounds like I'm in reverse at all times, love it.
love all the content you boys put up 👌🤘
Keep doing what your doing I love watching you guys and learning along the way!👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
We like anything you do lads. Keep it up
For me owning an old 2002 wrx turbo Subaru. I really enjoyed this week's content .
Love most of what you do but I certainly like these vids as it shows the upkeep, adaption and modification that usually happens on modified cars as not all builds are done in one go it's offen a constant process done in many stages
One does not skip skid factory intro
Ya boys! The short in and out vids are great too!!! It is gratifying to have something in and out in a few days, feels good to have something done!!
Love the content, keep it coming
Thanks. Good content nice to know a bit about dog boxes☺️
Love the context no matter if it’s big builds small jobs or anything in between it’s all educational and entertaining!
Do love when you guy’s actually take the vehicles out and test them tho
My car made the cut @26:39 love this
Love the one and done episodes boys. I'll take whatever is served up. Always stoked for Wednesday arvo
Love ya al and woody. This kind of content is great.
