I never dated someone who was an asshole or at least showed me that they were asshole (I never dated anyone long enough to discover their full personalities). I just hated the dating process itself, it doesn't really fit me at all. But Idk if the dating process fits anyone, but whatever drive that other people have to keep it going long enough to find a partner, I simply don't have it.

Finally someone who understands minimalism when it comes to hair. I had long hair and cut it off and people who knew me looked at me like I was an alien , my parents almost had a heart attack. And they said I didn't make sense when I said 'hair makes me stressed, its too hard to look after it when I already have so much weight on my shoulder' and so I cut it just above shoulder length from butt length. We're Indian. I'm a medical student.🥴

Tiramisu is keeping me alive. Period.
I used to think I needed to fill up quietness constantly, be it with podcasts, music, CZcams vids in the back ground, etc. I still love those things but getting comfortable with silence and your own thoughts are when all you best ideas come and when you truly learn and grow as a person. I still love all those other things but learning to appreciate the silence as well. Plus it helps with anxiety too.
Sometimes it feels like a pressure as a teenager to constantly have a supply of “stuff”: a constant new wardrobe, summer 90s aesthetic is big at the moment and thus, tons of girls are on cheap sites purchasing these dresses and crop tops, Brandy Melville, aliexpress. But, after realising where these clothes are made and the labour behind it, I simply can’t shop there. But I still conflict with the idea of always having new clothes, even though, nobody cares what I wear, the prime example being my dad, who wears shirts every day that are 25 years old, and yet I don’t notice, I just see him.
You can have new clothes but still have little. Minimalism isn't on sticking to few things but just sticking to less. Even Kelly cleans out her closet and buys new clothes . Btw you can easily sale the clothes for money in return or donate them. So that way you're saving money and trying out new things every now and then like each month or 2.

That alone doesn't exactly make your friends toxic in my opinion. If they're shaming you or pointing it out with contempt, that's indeed toxic. However, it's possible that people try to use it to start a conversation or keep a conversation going. My friends would sometimes point out how I wear the same things every week but I never felt bad for it since I understood that their comment didn't come from a place of negativity. If they're really toxic though, leave them. You're better off being alone than surrounded by negativity.

For me minimalism is depressing. Ive basically lived out of a suitcase for so long. Having a picture on the wall that i chose, or a tasteful vase on the table, makes such a big difference. I moved a few months ago into an apartment. And for a while the walls were blank and it didnt look like a home. Ive been in enough hospitals for blank walls. Ive slowly been decorating the place and making it look like a home. And my mood really gets better every time it comes together a little bit more. I love art i love mirrors i love plants. Theres too many beautiful things in life than to just stare at blank walls like some sort of jail.

YES if you are going to donate, give your items to a place that needs them more. Goodwill often throws away good clothing or sells them to textile shops, which dumps those clothes into third world countries who then have to deal with our waste. It ruins that countries textile industry and ends up being burnt in bulk.

It's funny, bare walls actually GIVE me anxiety. The more stuff I have, the more I feel like myself lol. I like composed/intentional clutter. Like knick knacks on a bookshelf, or a hundred pillows on a bed
I need a lot of color and cute/funny stuff to feel creative and happy in my place 🤷♀️ but i agree with owning less stuff you don’t like. In fact I’d love to own only stuff i LOVE, not less. But I’m crafty, so i guess i need stuff to be crafty with!

If there's clothes or something like that you're attached to you can turn them into a quilt or a plushie, or if there are cards or old art you can frame them and hang them, to me minimalism isn't having blank white walls it's having intention in what you have
Walking is one of my anti-anxiety methods. I love living in the city because I can walk to any store. It gives me a sense of control. I also like cake and wine (and the fact that I can walk to go and get either!)
I just moved and is about to have a minimalist wardrobe. I realised how much of a slave of my clothes and laundry have I become. I need to get my life back

as a stylist I always try to recommend clothing items that are versatile and can be layered, so they are not just worn to death and thrown out months later. simple layers and accessories can really define an outfit and keep certain tops or bottoms interesting. lovely vid as always kelly say hi to the rats for me
