Recently I've been to Nice, France and got myself a few French regional knives. Got one Corsican, but not as good as this one. Same shape and size, wooden scales, moors head, and at least it says La Corse on it. Not very expensive and of cause made on mainland France, not on the island itself. Happy to see history and description of this knife, now I know I have correct Corsican-type knife!. Thank you Stefan and I hope to share my collection pictures with you one day.

Beautiful introductions, the photography is second-to-none, great musical accompaniment, and your reviews are completely thorough. It is so nice to see someone reviewing knives that are not part of the typical reviews (Spyderco, Benchmade, Cold Steel). I so love seeing some of the great work coming out of the European Knife-makers. I only wish I could afford them to add to my collection. It is also refreshing to see knives shown in food prep, if only we could convince many of our Governments of such things; that knives have so many more uses other than stabbing people.

thanks for explaining the Moors head. I bought a cheap version of this style of knife in a French market -- manufactured by 'Pradel Excellence'. It featured a metal Moors head welded to the top of the spine, on the locking mechanism. Although only a cheap knife, €17, I really liked the design.

Say, Heah Stefan, That knife is a beautuful looking knife. I'm not too much into folders. Although I do have a few. It surprised me how similar my Cold Steel Vintage Talwar, the frame is Titanium with Linen Micarta Scales. the handle shape is similar to your knife, with the exception the pommel is a Stainless Steel Ball that can be used as a crushing tool. The blade is a Persian Simitar a real "Sword in the pocket made with the San Mai 3 laminated steel, It too is a piece of art, Oh, I also have the Black Sable which is totally a Tactical Beauty too, made the same way as my Talwar, I really started to enjoy your educational videos, Thank You, , ,
Another excellent video Stefan - your stage sets are getting more elaborate with each video :-) I think Le Rondinara has a great mix of robustness and refinement.
I wonder if they have fine knives like this, in a mini size? My Buck folder, is about 2.5 inches long, so light I actually carry it with me, all the time.

Stefan, I always enjoy watching your videos, your in depth commentary never fails to fascinate me. For a while now I have been a collector of modern style knives from companies such as Spyderco, Boker and Kershaw. But recently I have become interested in collecting more traditional style knives as I love the history and craftsmanship they display. Unfortunately I have no idea about how to obtain traditional style knives! Several websites I visit have small catalogs of traditional style knives such as fontinelle pataud, maserin and case knives but I was wondering if there is any online retailers which stock a wide selection of traditional knives?
***** It all depends on the brand. You won't likely find an online retailer that offers traditional American pocket knives as well as traditional Italian or French knives. Many of the French and Italian knives on my channel you will only find in a handful of European online stores. GEC knives, on the other hand, are only available in the US.
I love the historical background, you do such a great job with that, but of course the review of the knife is excellent, too. May I add that the The Moors heads are taken to represent the defeated Moors, first used in the seals of Aragonese kings and later transferred to the Kingdom of Sardinia. Pls correct if I am mistaken. Thx.

mr. Stefan, perhaps you can help me. I bought a Slipjoint Pocket Knife at a friends Pawn Shop, I didn't pay much for it because nobody knew any info on it. It's a Wilkinson Sword INOX 3blade Canoe Pattern made in Sheffield, England. Comparing the workmanship of the knife to my Case Knives, it's equal. I looked all over the place for information and I found none. It sort of resembles my Camillus Silver Sword #836 but without the wood inlays, but the scales are made out of some good quality material, but I'm not sure what it is. If you could help I would really appriciate it, again, Thank You in advance, , ,

Le Rondinara could almost change my mind about heavy folders. So it was originally used be farmers? It seems like a very robust cheese slicer.
