- Are we a bunch of fools? Today we set out to get stuck in a Jeep on purpose and then make a wooden flip flop winch (this has to be the cheapest winch in the world) made of only logs and some rope... We then attempt to use this man powered primitive technology winch to self recover ourselves from being stuck in the mud. Yes, yes, we are insane! Have a great April Fools day and play some pranks on your friends! Do not try this at home!

This needs to go into the bleepinJeep hall of fame. I'm at 22 min and I'm LMAO! ok now i'm crying at 27 min lol
lol, thats a good idea, a BJ hall of fame playlist!
That would Be AWESOME!! BJHOF
This has "I can get us unstuck.... hold my beer" written all over it! LMAO
I was waiting for Matt to lay a verbal beatdown on Jeremy when the rotten log broke
Bahaha!!!
This is why women live longer. 💁♀️
🤣😂🤣
Nothing better then seeing some country boys doing country boy stuff. “Hold my beer!”
This is the single most dangerous thing I have ever seen anybody do on CZcams ever. I lost the tip of a finger to a Spanish windlass when I was a kid, I have read stories of these killing sailors and tradesman... Thank you for taking one for the team and making his video :)
😱
@@jeremyrose7541 it is fine, Matt is the 'trained professional' at Bleepin' Jeep. These guys are great, would love to go wheelin' with them some day. I'll bring the winch ;)
You know a true friend when they laugh at you when you get hurt and then make sure you are ok
When the funny farm mailman comes down that road hahaha
This is the best video ever.
You guys are hilarious! Is it weird when I watch you two I see you in superhero suits! 😆
thats just my underwear showing😊
BleepinJeep - that’s perfect Matt since the suits I see you guys in are Underoos! On a serious note, thanks for all the help and inspiration you guys give me for working on my XJ. You are the reason I picked an XJ for my first Jeep.
🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🕺🕺
this is the funniest “s” i’ve seen y’all do soo far🤣🤣
When I was a kid they had these braided woven rugs that we had to bring to kindergarten to take a nap with. Those things work amazingly. Search for "braided 3 foot rug" on amazon and switch it to show lowest price first and you should find some for 20 bucks if you dig around for a while. They double as floor mats or mats for your rear storage area.
Howdy boys,
GREAT impersonation of the Tonya Harding/Nancy Kerrigan feud for the opener. This stuff is why we keep you boys around! Take care.
That was wildly entertaining
This should be considered the funniest thing on the internet. It is apparent that beer must be included in the recovery process. I figured out the problem. Use empty beer cans under the tires.
😂🤣😂
When you have to watch for 12:00 plus to get to the action, people tend to click on something else. Check your analytics to see if I'm right. Most viewers hate long intros. Good info from the video though!
Dude, Bleepin' Jeep isn't just a out short, only to the point informational videos; it's entertainment, too!
Sure, there's plenty of people who click away after, "long intros". Then there's everyone else that has an attention span longer than a fruit fly.
Lol.. best video yet..
Famous last words, " I got nothing to do, and plenty of Beer"
I love you guys
This is cool af guys!!!!
Very entertaining!
I haven’t laughed this hard in years
Rule number one don’t go alone
Thanks guys, I needed a good laugh!
best video ever award!
Confirmed? Yes. Practical? No. Lol
Thats incredible!!!!!!!
I never seen a pumpkin drink beer!!!!!
Great video!
this is the good times and sketchyness of why i like 4wheelin
Ok, that was just hilarious. Well done, sirs.
This vid is greatness!
This episode is hilarious I really did lol. Thank you for making it.
Hilarious!
Jeremy looking like an MLB umpire at 29:50
Hahaha!!
Lol this was good.
Man this is the best comedy show i have ever seen🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Air down maybe? Props for trying this. I think I would have hiked out and called help. All in all hilarious and Im with Jeremy. Beer would help the situation tremendously
This guy know what's UP👏👏☝️☝️
That was awesome!!! Lol
Thank u boyz! I needed a good laugh today and thats what i got!!
Next time yall should get unstuck using beer cans. Dig out a bit, crush up the cans, and put them in front of the tires.
🤔
This is one the funniest video you guys have done in a while. Great video busting this way of trying to use it as a winch.
Don't worry so much about confusing us. We worry about you guys being confused. BTW, that was a beautiful diagram of how to wrap up a pair of chopsticks as a gift!
Hahahaha love this video
What a fucking TRAINWRECK😂😂😂 I couldn’t stop watching!!!!
U guys are a riot but u did prove it works
I felt so guilty for continuing to watch this all the way till the end. Like a bad car crash, I just couldn't look away, and I totally expected to see something bad happen to one of you.
😂🤣😂
Air down, wood chips, tire chunks, oooooo wrap the tread of an off road/mud terrain around the tread of the tires on the rear of the Jeep and ratchet strap them on 😂
Hey ! Thank Guy's For the great info !
Man I got buried in a very big rut one time, almost flopped my TJ on the passenger side it was so deep. Got it out by dropping logs and other dead debris down into the hole to give my tires something to bite on. After lots of back and forth and throttle it finally came out. Lost a good shoe that day somewhere in the mud.
Rest in pepperonis
Admit it. Y'all had to sleep out there and man-cuddle to stay warm.
Bahaha!!
Jeremy was little spoon😂
Just two good ole’ boys playin in the woods! That poor Jeep is having flashbacks of being stuck there before.
Thumbs up for the effort but.... that looked painful. lol
Really makes you appreciate the power of a winch motor, only being the size of roughly a softball...haha
Wow intro is great.
This was great
I’m glad y’all tried it before I did
"This is definitely almost last resort" hahahaha
When the log hit Matt in the leg, I yelled “YATZEE”. I watch you guys too much
my leg is still sore!
Yatzee!!!😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 SO AWESOME
Rope to the face VS log?..... Rope
Lolol
Very funny 😂
You guys are awesome! Love the vids
I would try to find gravel, rocks, branches, and a jack. I always bring 2x4's - 2x6's to keep the jack from sinking in the ground. Jack it up, and put what ever you can find under the tires. A shovel really helps too. Floor mats can help. Do not rush doing this. Beer can help, but don't get too drunk! If your in a mud hole full of water then you need rocks, and gravel. A prayer might help also!
Dang that would take a lot of beer.
Y’all have inspired me to watch more Abbot and Costello
lmao great vid yall
You fellas are hilarious.
Only a true friend can hit another friend with a rope and a log trying to unstick a truck!
For the next one try to get yourselves out using only hand tools/only using a case of beer.
Hahaha!!
Bribe someone to pull them out with the case of beer😁😁
Use a TON of snatch blocks and ropes. I've seen it done on you turd with a nissan, but you guys crack me up? BREAD THUMB!
Looks like a good way to end up in the nearest emergency room.
Floor mats. Ive never used them with really steep angles but I’ve gotten more than a few front wheel drive cars through ice/snow, mud, sand and loose gravel using just floor mats. A friend of mine had at least 3 pairs of front floor mats in his 1990 Mazda 323 hatchback because they worked so well. The front ones are bigger than the rears and he made a path for the front tires with them.
Floor mats saved my ass many times in the snow
Lol
Great vid. Just need to adjust your beer to flip ratio!
Haha🤣😂🤣
Half way through had to put you on pause and get my own beer.
That was hilarious! Next you should break out the stock jack and use it like a high lift for winching. Lol. Happy April fools
Ass Kicking Throwing Mud is definitely better!
Thanks for a good laugh🤣
Need one of the lug lock winches they are the best and least expensive things to use.
Miller Lite? Really? Ugh....lol. Great video ya'll, had me crying
This is the best video I have seen ya'll do
Love these videos, this one and last episode, well worth thirty minutes. Reminds me of the old videos
LMFAO you should do a cheapest led light bar, and just catch some fireflies and put them in bottles tied to your bumper.
Bahaha
now thats a good idea!!
This video was absolutely hilarious to watch!!! You guys crack me up. Was this an April fools joke?!?!?! Hahahahahaha
Best laugh I've had in a while
It's like Tom and Jerry.
I can't see the flip flop log method not having a hospital side to it
Have you ever seen the Russian's method of tying a log to the outside of a driven wheel and vaulting out of a hole?
yes, maybe we need to try that one next! I've seen it used on tractors because there are no fenders to worry about!
Two tow straps one on each side under the rear or front the straps should rap around the wheels and pull you out works a treat
I haven't laughed this much in ages!!! Y'all are great!
Fantastic video. I often see these ideas and am not prepared to try them in my vehicle. Love the honest review.
Hahaha, now that was some quality entertainment guys, great work! Certainly is interesting to actually put pen and paper theories to the test in the real world. Mechanical leverage can move the earth if you got a big enough stick, but the biggest problem I can see is when you have to lift the branch over your head you lose half the available leverage. If you had a rope tied to the top, you could then pull from the end and at least get the maximum work out of the system. Probably only an extra turn or 2, but maybe enough to overcome the static friction of the vehicle and get unstuck.
For instance lets say the log is 14ft, if this was a 10:1 system, 100lbs in gets 1,000lbs out at 14ft. Now when you try to stand the log up you can only reach up to 6ft, you've cut your leverage in half and with a 5:1 you'd have to put in 200lbs just to get the same 1,000lbs out. But hey, now we know, ehh!
alright! you are the math guru to ask... how many snatch blocks would we need to pull a jeep with a rope and our bare hands.? and what method of setup would work best to get the best mechanical advantage? I guess the unknown variable would be how stuck is the jeep??
@@bleepinjeep Hmm, well looking up basic snatch block rigging calculators, we can see that the load is evenly distributed between each "line" that is in the system. So, if we wanted to achieve the same 10:1 ratio as the flip flop we would need 10 parts of line, and it looks like 1 less block then the total, so 9 snatch blocks to match. This will give you the same mechanical advantage of pulling 100lbs of line to get 1,000lbs of total pulling force out. Fun part here is if you have 2 people pulling 100lbs each, you've now got 1 ton of force at your disposal.
The Block and Tackle looks like a fairly efficient way of doing this since all the blocks are stacked side by side, that way you only need 1 connection point at each end instead of like 5, haha. Could be a fun experiment to try!
love it u guys had me laughing all thru the night at work 😂🤣😂😋
I’ve never seen people look for places to get stuck
Lolol..
I would like to see you guys try to use an old fashion block and tackle set up somehow
I want to say you're doing it wrong and that there has to be a better way of doing this method. But I honestly have no clue how to do it myself lol.
On the bright side I laughed the whole way through this video.
Pure content, I love it. Lots of product ideas at the end@@@@
(22:48) tie a piece of rope to the end to utilize the full length of the stick for leverage. You can also capture progress in short bursts by taking a wrap around a tree. Push off the tree with your legs like youre doing a power squat and use a whole range of muscles. (24:16) Tie a piece of rope to the very end of the log, sit down with your foot on the stake and do a rowing maneuver to get it in place. (28:33) with the rope still tied to the end you can lift straight up in a squat without your back so bent over and kick a rock under the log to hold tension.
These are just some body mechanics to keep in mind. Pulling is generally better than pushing. Pulling more often utilizes your own body weight instead of just your muscles and gives you a wider variety of muscle groups to work with. Also because pulling usually involves a rope you can do all sorts of mechanical advantage combinations and really utilize friction.
.
1) As far as things to try in your next video there is a product called the bog out. Its essentially using the tire again as a winch captured by what looks like a rope ladder made from rope and tubular webbing. Anyway its supposedly a very versatile design that can be deployed in minutes and captures the whole tire. I would love to see a review of this out in the field.
2) Another idea: is there an air powered tool that could pull you out if your winch died? Perhaps a pneumatic chainsaw with a winch attachment or something?
3) Do a speed test between: high lift jack, come along, set of pulleys in a bag (snatch blocks and rope: google 9:1 compound MA)
4) Finally, one method thats worked for my 2WD 32,000lbs open diff work truck is to buy the $15 dollar 3,333lb (10k MBS) Harbor Freight ratchet straps and just cut a 2x4 wood plank out in the woods with a chainsaw and strap it to the tire. the 2x4 gives WAY more traction because it is longer and provides larger surface area. Of course it might snap if its wedged in a deep rut, but you could also cut it thicker and maybe use a 4x4... or find a stronger tree like oak, hickory, osage orange, or any other hardwood like birch, ash, or maple. The issue we had is that it works but it might only be a one time use if you dont protect the strap with some cloth to reduce abrasion. Ive only ever done this with duallys. It might not work on a single tire.
George, George, George of the jungle, watch out for that tree!
I had a situation where I had to try this...yeah, got very sketchy doing it by myself, so nope. Walked out and got some help.
Just bring a couple pulleys much safer lol
This redeemed you from the blue tooth hard top lift video. True Red-Neck, I laughed so hard. Hi-
Lift jack would work better I bet.
Wanting to try that in this..
Come along with an actual come along vs hi lift jack recovery!
🤔
and this Is why I carry a come-along. need to finish my land winch though...
