Buying a smartphone used always has its risks, but if you're smart about it it can be a great way to save some cash. Any of you buy your iPhone used? How'd it go for you?
Thanks for watching : )
😮
I bought an iPhone x refurbished, thanks to these guides.
Have any issues trying to use the inbuilt App Store on a 11ipad pro don’t seem to be able to double click on the install button at the top end of the screen it’s simply not letting me click on it a little help on this would be greatfuly appreciated first time iPad user so I am somewhat a novice at this os
I’ve had my iPhone 8 for a while and I’m still going strong with iOS 16 support.
Where?
I was working with a 6S Plus, and the best I could afford when I upgraded was the XS. At the same time, I upgraded my daughter's 6S to the SE 2nd gen.
Got a refurbished SE for just around $40, had 100% batt capacity and the touch ID working. Pretty worth having considering I love the design and the small form factor. I don't mind it having it stuck on iOS 15 cause it still feels blazingly fast regardless!
Nice
With a good battery it is still very good, can confirm since i used a pink SE for a few months during the summer. Loved the size and fun colour actually.
Why
Where?
Bought a brand new Gold SE for $100 6 months ago. Great little phone especially when paired with a battery case. I have around 12 hours of screen on time using this thing, lol.
9:00 yessir iPhone 11 supremacy! Got mine in 2020 and still rocking with it going into 2023! Definitely a phone that holds value if you don't care to have the absolute latest-and-greatest since its still receiving iOS updates and runs the software rather well
Great advice and great choice of music.
Whenever I hear HOME’s music In a video, it’s usually a very good video.
Still using an iPhone XS. The phone is great! Got the battery replaced by apple around 4 months ago and it lasts through the day. Definitely not the best phone but for the price I paid I am happy with it. The camera is good and iOS 16 runs very well on this phone. Still feels very modern. Would definitely recommend a battery replacement as it would breathe new life into an old phone
Thanks! Very helpfull! I went "used" 3 phones ago I think, and havent looked back since.
Thanks for your videos. Really appreciate your video.
Great video! Thanks.
I got a iPhone 12 Pro Max for $397 at a local used tech store near me. It had no scratches and 91% battery health, I would recommend not just looking online but also going to computer shops. I bought the phone in December 2022 and am very happy
I just copped an iPhone 12 mini refurbished 128 GB unlocked in the product red colorway for just $290. I absolutely love it.
Been using XR since 2018, just got the 13 mini
Nice, I love my 13 mini as well. it’s a big upgrade coming from my iPhone 7.
Nice joke 🤣
In January ‘22, I upgraded from iPhone 7 to XS. Meanwhile, my kids went from iPhone X to 13 Pro. Personally, I'm not a fan of the shape or weight of their phone. I'm very happy with all the XS' features, and made a conscious decision to get it rather than the year before's X - the XR was never in the running for me, due to its lower specification. Have to say, I'll probably stay with XS til Apple stop giving it the latest IOS.
I recently got myself the 7 Plus for work, even though it doesn’t have wireless charging, which is a little annoying, considering that my main phone has it, i can at least count on it’s solid aluminum body to take a hit. Besides that, the large screen, in combination with 3D Touch, is great for emails and documents, just the battery life is absolutely abysmal, despite the bat being new.
I agree, as much as i love the glass body and the iPhone 12-13 is my favorite design, i miss not having an aluminum body, at least you could rest assured the back of the phone would not shatter.
The battery life is good or bad?
I got the iPhone 7 because I got it free and I wanted to try out iPhone after using android for 10 years. It has honestly surprised me after going from an android phone from 2020. I'll definitely be upgrading to a newer iphone at some point but this works fine for now.
I just upgraded to the iPhone 12 Mini with 128GB of storage, Unlocked, and in Product RED all for $299 and I absolutely love it.
Just recently switched from the XR to 14 Pro Max and as much as I can honestly say I miss the XR I’m still glad I switched.
I’m thinking of doing a monthly payment plan for a 14 Pro Max. Tried saving up so much a week but shots been getting so expensive lmao.
Currently using the SE 2020 with my 6s serving as a backup. Just got a new battery in the SE and it feels like it did the day I got it. Great phone but I’m thinking of moving to the 11 pro just for the camera and better display
My friend Tim has that for his work
Great info, thanks!
The gen 1 SE makes great "ipod touch" since it has a headphone jack and 128gb of storage for around $100.00.
I prefer android devices overall for that use case thanks to microSD cards, but my favorite podcast/media player is iOS only, so it's $100.00 well spent (and the thing is so tiny compared to even "small" android devices).
Where did you buy it:/
@@dawnsblade4610 last time I got one it was on ebay, because of the return policy.
Although overall I prefer a small inexpensive Android phone with microSD, there's an app called Downcast which is iOS only that has features I'm addicted to, so I always keep an older iPhone as an audio device.
I have a nice samsung just want an iphone for the features but not willing to put much money into it
Appreciate the help thanks👍
Same here. Love the flexibility of Android
@@dawnsblade4610 Same here!
Something about the battery life of the minis. The iPhone 12 minis battery life is about equal with the iPhone XS (plus it minus a few minutes) the 13 mini adds another 2:30 hours and minutes of battery life, so probably around the iPhone 11 budget model in terms of battery life
I currently have a 6 for work and need to replace it. Biggest need is as many years of iOS updates possible for the money. Seems the SE Gen 3 is the best for that criteria?
thanx bro rlly needed some advice. keep up the great work
I bought a used Iphone 11 from Amazon, just had to get the battery replaced, so far so good. I had traded my old 11 in on an 14 but couldn't use that due to PWM issues. Apple needs to do something about that, they are losing sales on people like me who would like to upgrade but are stuck with either the 11 or the tiny SE.
when you first got the phone from amazon, did it have the original battery or did the owner install another one?
and where did you replace that battery? at apple directly or some 3rd party repair shop?
It must have been the original as it was down to 76%. I took it to the Apple Store near me and they put a new battery in for me and then the seller on Amazon reimbursed me for the cost of the battery replacement.
I chose a refurbished 12 pro over the 11, (off of Amazon) because the 12 offered 5g capability. I take it you don't place much stock in 5g because you never mention it in this video. still enjoyed the vid though.
8 plus will always be one of my favourite phones i’ve ever used
As one of the 10% who can’t use OLED, the 11 and SE2/3 are my only choice when I replace my 8 Plus next year.
I currently have an IPhone SE 2 and looking to get something fairly newer on a budget. I like small phones so my choice is pretty obvious. The 12 mini is perfect, but the ones like XS and 11 pro are not that big either, so I’m a little bit confused hhh.
I’m in the same situation, I have a SE 2 too 😅
I probably will go to the 12 refurbished right away but sure also depends on what you have to spend.
The iPhone that I chose to buy in 2022 was an as new customer return iPhone SE 2020 which only cost me £229. I could buy one in used condition for £134. No one used all of the performance of even the A13 processor in my iPhone SE 2020 and so I did not need anything faster. I want a small phone and so its small LCD display is good enough for me. There is no 5G im my county and so 5G support and so switching it on on a newer iPhone would only waste my battery. I will get another 3 years of iOS updates.
I went from a 6 to SE to XR to 14. Makes me feel like I missed a lot of cool stuff in between. I’m starting to miss the white front of the 8, have never tried a plus phone, and always wanted to have an X and 11 pro just to switch between because I’m starting to miss the curved side design.
I agree i had a 6s (a 3d touch phone) se (iPhone 8 and 7 styled ), se (iPhone 5s styled) for the olden day’s experience and a iPhone 13 pro… I really wanna try 8 plus before it loses support just for the experience and my mom has a xs max so i just use that sometimes for the big notch experience
@@thenessh2807 i had a 8 plus for a week before returning it for the regular 8 lol it was too big for my liking but was pretty cool to watch anime on 😂 they’re very pretty
Yeah i went from 6 to 5se to 5s (i was broke lol) to 8 to 13 mini lol (also had the 8 plus for a week but returned to get the 8)
as from someone who uses ip 12 since launch i would recommend you get a curved shaped case. It might get back the comfortability of curved design but the downside is that your phone will feel larger.
im still using an iPhone 8 plus and it is perfect. its still on iOS 13 jailbroken so its much smoother, i recently replaced the battery for a new original one so im still getting 5hrs sot from 6am to 5pm with celluar data on, and overall its in mint condition. never had any problems with it and it still can do almost everything, except for banking apps, but i use androids for that.
I have the same phone and ios, recently got a big ass battery pack so I’ll hold off on the replacement battery. It’s getting quite bad though...
Why you wouldn't use your banking apps in your 8 Plus? For protection becuase your 8 plus running in Ios 13?
@@hyperfront1374 yup, they refuse to work on older iOS
@@hyperfront1374 with the jailbreak banking apps do not work 😒 it’s stupid really
Bought a brand-new iPhone 11 (128GB) in Black. The performance on iOS 16.3.1 is amazing. The battery life is also great. I had to decide between a brand-new iPhone SE 3 (2022) or iPhone 11. The guy told me that the SE 3, with its extra processing power, isn't even worth it if you cannot implement all the potential of the SoC. The design is dated and seems very old. I mainly love the display of my iPhone 11, since it has produces very good colours. I don't mind the 60Hz display since everything on iOS runs smoothly by default. Apps open and close very quickly.
I am horrified by the build in camera effects or edits, like (software generated) background blur. Can they be deactivated in certain models?
I love my SE3!
Buying a used iPhone,or any smartphone,is a no no for me.
I'm still using the iPhone 8 running IOS 16.0.2 and it runs great for me, battery life isn't great but decent enough, don't think i'll be upgrading until sometime next year or early the year after 🎃
today i can get a deal for iphone 12 pro max for 200 bucks, the thing is the back is broken. Should I stil take it?
I think ip XS and newer will be supported for a long time. So for most ppl a12 and newer makes sense. But I still have a feeling the 8/X might get iOS 17 so those may be viable still for a niche of ppl.
This. Plus, it's 5g.
Got a 13 pro max 1tb for $700 amazon perfect condition. THIS IS INCREDIBLE.
picked up a midnight green iphone 11 pro 256gb with a brand new battery replaced by best buy for 300 bucks.
Found an iphone 12 pro max for 350€ maybe can get it to 300€. Looks new from the outside, all original, with guarantee and still 96% batt. Good deal?
Adding onto the 120 Hz point you made if you’re paying $700 plus for a phone it should be included when every other phone in the market has at least 90 Hz display so can iPhone Champion for more features not less
I'm looking to replace my galaxy a32 5g with something to replace it I'm looking between $160-$200. That isn't to small or isn't to big preferably a iphone
I personally have an iPhone 8 Plus (upgraded from my 5s mid last year), and I feel like upgrading to a new one since the battery life has been getting worse. I think I'll go for an iPhone 13 mini because I realized I prefer a smaller iPhone.
13 mini wont have a good battery life, even though you like smaller phones, id still suggest you go for the pro max models, especially the 13 pro max as it has the best battery life of any phone ever. you’d get used to the size in about a month or so and wont look back, trust me! Once you start using your pro max models, you’ll clearly see the difference between your 8 plus and your “whichever” pro max :)
@@hamzakhurram525 Co-sign I have a refurb 12 pro, a little smaller than the pro max but should meet you somewhere in the middle, but do you lol
The 13 Pro in Mint condition is going for $850 or so for the 256gb. Compared to the 14 Pro same configuration, at $1100 you save $250 for essentially the same phone. The dynamic island is overrated and the Always on Display sucks battery life.
Went with the 13 pro (apple replacement) with 1TB storage - this phone was essentially brand new in a blank box just the phone.
I hope the title is a typo cause it’s a little late for a 2022 buying guide with it being November.
Is used iPhone 14 pro for $300 a good deal or is something probably wrong with the phone?? What to look for when buying a used phone?? Any advice guys. Thanks.
My friend Tim's mum has the iPhone 14
Just got used 13.. To be honest it feels like new one
the iPhone 12 base model is around 300$ on eBay and i might get it for my first iPhone, to see if i want to permanently switch to apple
I got my iPhone XS 64 gb in our Norwegian eBay for $115 including shipping for two weeks ago, looks like new, but only 82% battery health
That's an insane deal! Congrats
Used androids are miles more worth it based on the galaxy s3, it may be old but it still can get applications and it has gotten community support (including new android versions) up until last year, try that with a iphone 4
I recently bought XS for around 200€ with 77% battery health, and with my settings and overall usage, I am used to charge every night, so no problem there
Iphone 11 pro or 12 mini?
Currently using iPhone se 2nd gen the only nitpick that i have is the ips panel it would’ve been nice if it is a amoled panel
I recently bought a iPhone 11 on Facebook but I got scammed its been 4 weeks I've contacted the police and the bank but no response
Yes they are if they are in very good condition and have no activation locks!!!
3D Touch ❤
if anyone sees this comment try apps like offer up. always make sure to meet in safe locations like police stations and such. i was able to get a iPhone 12 in MINT condition, factory unlocked, and with the box for 325. and you can negotiate with people unlike sites that want the set price.
Decided to get a renewed iphone 13 with 256gb I ended up saving around $160 compared to buying it new from apple.
Its my bday, just got a 13 pro! Good or bad?
very good! Barely different from the 14 Pro, very much still top of the line. Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday! 🎉🥳🎂🎁
@@91Tech Even better IMO. The camera pill on the 14 pro seems way more intrusive than the notch ever was. Making a gimmick out of it doesn't change that. The SIM tray on US models is another feature that far outweighs the modest generational chip boost or the poorly implemented always-on-display on the 14P.
Happy belated birthday
I have my old 11pro 64gb , and my 13 pro 256gb, probs going to stay with my 13 pro till I at least get a good look at the new 15 pro
just got my first iPad from last year😉 so i have joined the light or dark side of the force haha🤣
Geeze $700-$800 is basically what a iPhone 12 standard costs on eBay Australia from companies. Even private sellers are pretty high. Damn iphone 13 is cheap usually they cost $1100 or more
Useful info thanks
How do the batteries hold up on refurbished?
Specifically bought from Apple…say the 13 vs 11?
Can you one of these for iPads too?
iPhone 13 its still worth and usseles why not👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I just bought an iPhone 11 off eBay for $340 an it's in excellent condition so it says wish me good luck 😁😅
I'm upgrading from an iPhone 10 I bought in December of 2021 I also bought from eBay after having it for about a month-and-a-half I noticed the battery started expanding and pushing the screen off the phone it had 80% battery health so I don't even know anyways it got even where's over the year and it broke like the last day of December 2022 so that makes me kind of nervous for this new iPhone 11😅
Wowsers I never thought that this was true😮😮😮😮 Thank you soooooo much 😄😄😄😄😄😄😁😁😁😁😁😁

I have the iPhone 14 pro max purptle
Why don't buy the iPhone 13 used?

Be careful when looking at 12’s is what I’d say because I get a 12 in august used and it was £345. Great deal but when I got it it’s terrible. The glass back and front has been replaced because a single drop and the phone died. The battery life on this is worse than my XR even when the 12’s read 97% battery health and the XR read 89%…and the 12 overheats and has a dusty front camera. Should’ve spent a bit more but I didn’t and I regret it a bit
What website sir on iphone recurbished?
I would recommend backmarket
Apple refurbished
Got a used 2022 Se for 280 I’m content🙂
My dad has an iPhone 11
10:00 not that different you say “cough 5G cough”
After having an oled display on my phone since the iphone x, i could never use an lcd iphone like the xr or 11, or even recommend one of them phones.
That’s how I feel about 120Hz. Had an S22 for a while with that but eventually went back to iOS because of the wearables and battery. Now I feel like I can see the animation frames on my iPhone.
@@fredricksfishkeeping3007 Yeah, i personally could not go back to 60hz but i know that 60hz is ok as long as u have not used a 120hz phone lol, with oled vs led though the upside to oled is just way to big so it makes lcd ones near impossible to recommend imo
Still using iPhone 7/7+ and it is just fine.
These two phone will still get security updates through 2023/24.
And will continue to work fine after that unless Apple decides to BRICK them like the did some of the 6s/6s+ phones.
It’s a love hate thing.
Love the hardware, hate the company.
Thumbs down as you totally overlooked many of the earlier phones that still have years of life and support in them.
Lmao bruh are you for real. Do you realize that the longest any android phone is supported is 2 years maximum??🤣 and apples are supported 7+ years? I don’t think you should be complaining when the competition is a dumpster fire concerning pumping out cheapi products
XR is new 6s
Maybe and the iPhone 11 is like the iPhone 7 plus
Currently using iPhone 11 Pro Max,
AND SHUT UP SPAMMERS, I DON’T USE TELEGRAM!!!
Still on 7plus 🔥
I WISH they made an 8 plus SE
I think an iPhone SE+ would do very well in any market!
Where can I buy used? iPhones from my iPhone collection I make sure it’s not iCloud locked or signed into an Apple ID
Amazon, eBay, Best Buy, etc.
If the used are cheaper… then…
$700 for an iphone is already a lot cost as much as a laptop. That new pill shape seems more annoying than the notch.
