iPhone 13 Pro in 2024 - worth it? (Review)

- The iPhone 13 Pro & 13 Pro Max are turning 3 years old, but still feel like the same flagships they've always been- combining many of the modern Pro luxuries with an all-round reliable, consistent experience. How does the 13 Pro hold up in 2024, and could it even be worth buying?

The iPhone 13 Pro has held up like you'd hope a $1000+ smartphone would hold up approaching 3 years later- and I think that buying it used can potentially provide a lot of value.
Any of you using the 13 Pro / 13 Pro Max? How's it working for you almost 3 years later? Would you recommend it for others?
Thanks for watching!
Perfect, no issues.
Can you do a giveaway with the one you're reviewing
Can't afford these devices, they're so expensive in my region
It will be nice to own one.. will be a perfect tool to start vlogging with
Nice video by the way
@91Tech
Would you a video on Best Non-Traditional Android Phones (OnePlus, Nothing, RedMagic, Xiaomi, etc), in each class?
(And also evaluate their network capabilities , and performance compared to iPhones? 🙂)
Hey Josh when are you doing the iPhone SE second
I still daily my 13 pro max from launch day, battery health 84%. Other than it being a little slow in some areas, and apps reloading when switching between them (I guess that’s ram), it’s still a solid phone with all day battery life.
It’s funny cause my fiancé got the 15 pro max and has had so many issues with it, (cameras freaking out, action button not working intermittently, flash not turning on or being stuck on to make a few) meanwhile the 13, minus the apps having to reload when switching, has been a solid daily driver. Good cameras, good battery life, fast enough for what I use it for. Definitely a solid phone to buy if you don’t want to drop $1k+ on a new flagship.
Me watching this on my 13 pro.
same
Same.
Same 💪🏽
Bro can I get your insta ?
Same
I’m on the 13pro myself right now, typing this. I got it Feb of 22 and it’s still running strong. No plans on upgrading anytime soon.
Same here I’m on it right now
Just bought an Alpine green 13 Pro from Apple certified refurbished. Getting delivered today! 😃
I’m still using the iPhone 13pro in 2024 and don’t really thinking about upgrading
i currently still use my 13 pro daily its the most perfect iphone imo, only thing i would say though is to get a battery replacement
Broooo.... I literally searched for this yesterday...and you did a video and posted today 🤯
13 pro us such an amazing phone still, might get one as a secondary device
13 pro max user here, and even though i dont use my phone as much as i used to, whenever i do its blazing fast and has no problems doing whatever i want it to do. I wish i had gotten the smaller size tho, as the max just feels way to big in my hands
Great timing for this video
I got this phone (pro max ) in March came from a XR amazing phone
I just finished watching your video on my 13PM, and I’m still using it for music, photography, videos and movies! It’s still awesome, works really great! Been using it ever since I got it in Oct 2021, my battery life is still great at 94%, I think I’ll wait it out still, even after iPhone 16 comes out. Great job on your video! I hope I see more videos of the 13 Pro and Pro Max! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Never had the 13 pro sadly but heard it was a beast of a phone. Currently watching on an Iphone 14 Pro Max though. Would recommend.
I never used either of those two phones 13 pro or 14 pro max, I was using the 12 pro before I upgraded to the 15 pro max so I would be holding on to mine for at least another 3 years 👍
watching on my 13 pro :))
I really like watching your videos
Been using my 13 Pro since February 2023, no issues whatsoever. Jailbroken on 16.6.1 and holding strong!
I’ve got the iPhone 13 Pro Max in sierra blue, and it’s stunning, works perfectly, has a great camera and most definitely a beautiful screen
My 13 pro max is still rocking solid and will do so for another 2 years. I came from android and im surprised how well this phone is aging. There is really nothing i need from the newer models that my iphone doesnt already have.
I had my 13 Pro in Sierra Blue I enjoyed every single second of it, just upgraded to the 15 Pro Max
IAM choosing between 13 pro or 13 pro max
Can you tell me you're experience with size of pro and pro max
@@techshow8 get the Pro Max, better battery life and greater user experience in my opinion
do you feel huge difference between them?
I have the iPhone 14 which is considered a water down version of the 13 Pro like you said but I’m OK with that. I’m gonna hang onto my phone for another year until the new iPhone 17s come out which is rumored to have a totally new design on one of them also good review video!
Watching on my 13 Pro. Everything fine, happy with this, the only problem atm it’s the battery health, 80%. If iPhone 16 will be something special i’m going to upgrade, otherwise just changing the battery and maybe a new case. 😂
Hey Josh when are you doing the iPhone SE second 2
One important thing to note about the cameras is that the 13pro/max main lens is the only model so far to have a f1.5 max aperture. It’s the fastest main lens on any iPhone to date since the 14 and 15 models have a max of f1.78. So it still has the advantage of cleaner low light files in many instances (somewhere around 1/3 to a 1/2 stop). Computing improvements obviously have been made in newer models but sometimes you just can’t beat having more light. And you can see it in many test photos.
i got my 13pro in march 2022 and ive had it ever since and i can honestly say i want to make it last as long as i can, its great, i love the 120 fps pro motion display and that was the biggest selling point for me and why in the end i decided to get the 13 pro over just the regular 13. i think i could easily make this phone last for like 3-5 more years. the only thing that would make me want to upgrade sooner is if i wanted to get a pro max or if they come out with a ultra iPhone or something like that bc i watch so much content on my phone i sometimes wish i had a bigger screen. but i love my 13 pro!
love my 13 pro. wish we didn't get rid of the sim tray in the US so now I want to keep it for much longer than I would otherwise
I have a 13 pro max but in my opinion the benefits of E-sim are that :
Easier Network Switching: With an eSIM, you can switch mobile networks more conveniently. Instead of ordering a new physical SIM card, waiting for it to arrive, and inserting it into your phone, you can switch networks with a simple phone call or online request. No need to hunt for a SIM ejector tool!
Temporary Network Changes: An eSIM can store up to five virtual SIM cards simultaneously. This feature allows you to quickly switch between different networks, especially when you’re in an area with poor signal on your usual network. It’s also handy for using a local network while traveling abroad without physically inserting a local SIM card.
Dual-SIM Functionality: Like dual-SIM phones, eSIMs allow you to have two phone numbers on one device. This is useful if you want separate numbers for personal and business use but don’t want to carry two phones around. You can receive calls and texts on both numbers and choose which SIM to use for calls, texts, or data .
Just buy your phone from outside of the US
i bought 1 tb version pro max right when it came out and ive never ever had a signle problem!!! amazing phone.
Im looking for my first iphone and i loved the way 13 pro looked and preformed
I hope you release one for the 14 Pro this year or next lol, it's the one i have.
Just sold my 15 Plus to buy a 13 Pro Max in Sierra Blue. Cant wait lol
@@EF4Kwhy
@@EF4Kthats so stupid. Im sorry
@@EF4Kwhy
Why?
Apple still sells brand new iPad's with less capable hardware than this phone. I don't see why it wouldn't still be great. The single biggest drawback this phone has is that it still has a lightning port. Otherwise it hasn't meaningfully aged (other than according to people who see the notch as anachronistic). But as stated in the video, the notch is less invasive than the hole punch, which can be annoying watching extra widescreen videos (seem to be becoming more common on YT for some reason lately).
I have been using my iphone 13 pro for more than 2 yrs now and it feels the same.. dropped it a couple of times but still holding up well. No plans of upgrading..
I got mine brand new in April 2022, my first iPhone after 10 years of Androids
Don't see myself replacing it anytime soon
*maybe* if iPhone 16 will have some must-have feature for me
My kids got the mid-year dark green 13 Pro, and I’ve always disliked the weight of their phone - love the colour, though.
Was very pleased to see the Introduction of Titanium. The next time I need to upgrade, I’ll definitely be looking to get a Pro.
Thanks for the content.
I have the 13 pro which i got it used and still in pristine condition last year, it is still smooth and doing well for me. with the battery health at 87% (when I got it, it was at 90%), I just need to change the battery and it will run just as new
got my 13 pro in sierra blue on release and its sitll working great today
Got my 13 pro in winter 2021-2022, it has held up remarkably well, if I just cleaned it up it would still look brand new, next to no performance issues, hitches, etc. Battery life has dropped significantly I’m at 85% and it doesn’t last a full day unless I turned location and other settings off…. I’m going to get a new battery soon and hopefully get at least another 2 years (but that USB C is calling my name)
Watching because I’m soon planning to buy another iPhone 13 Pro Max in a few months. My model is having a ton of issues and big phones just aren’t quite for me anymore
I just bought a 13 pro max on ebay a few days ago and its been great so far
I was just on a long call on my 15 plus so I grabbed my 13 pro to use while I was on the call 🤣 it’s such a decent phone,I like the feel and honestly the notch a little more than Dynamic Island. Despite it only being a year old though battery is 88% health and I could literally watch it go down as I was using it.
My 13 Pro is at 78% and I get 4-6 hours SoT easy, mostly 75-100% brightness, a lot of YT, scrolling social media, and Safari use. Don’t leave pointless stuff like Bluetooth and GPS on unless needed.
i had a xr since early 2019 and that's held up so well, but when the opportunity to get an apple refurbished 13 pro arose late last year, i jumped on that immediately.
this is peak iphone. that 13 pro is gonna hold up for soooooooooo long.
Watching on my 13PM and I have no plans to upgrade soon.
got the 13 in green
Same here, easily me favorite iPhone color of all time
@@stevebungas6062product red iPhone SE 2 is just a little better in my opinion.
This is by far my favorite iPhone, second to the 8 and I so badly miss my Sierra blue 13 pro max. The 13 series as a whole had everything: great cameras, fantastic battery life, ProMotion, even compared to the 14 series, the 13 pro had it all. I really miss mine
watching this on my 13mini :)
Any iPhone that can run current and at least one more iOS gen is worth it, at the right price. I keep a spare 11 Pro as my running phone and it refuses to age with a battery swap.
It’s my phones turn to get a Still Worth video
I went from a 13 pro to a 15 pro max. Nothing is different.
but it's got TITANIUM!
The 13 Pro was such a good iPhone reminds me of how reliable my iPhone 5s was
I have my 11 pro max and it’s still going strong, I just replaced the screen and battery after a skateboarding accident where I broke my leg (and subsequently my phone) 😂
I just got the iPhone 13 Pro on Amazon to go with the s24+ that I have and would’ve gotten the 15 pro but hate that Apple got rid of the physical sim so I will probably be staying with the 13 pro for awhile
I’m only going to upgrade from my 13 Pro Max if there’s a significant upgrade or a change in design or if my battery gets badly degraded
The Dynamic island reminds me of the Lonely Island.
91 tech can you do the iPad 2 review in 2024?
Watching from my iPhone 13promax ❤
I have one too since 2021, legend iPhone
Just bought one, waiting for delivery.
watching this on my 14 pro :)
Must be fucking nice. Smh.
I'm still running an 11 Pro Max, battery health still at 88% and lasts all day I never had to charge during the day, performance is still great I never experienced a single hiccup + I've been sideloading everything under the sun with no issues whatsoever.
Just got a 13PM from Best Buy, battery life has been great even using the iOS 18 beta software
I had a 13 Pro which I would have kept if not for my Dad needing a new phone and as he is retired it was better for me to upgrade. Still up there in the best phones I have had, although the 11 Pro just edges it for size in the hand
@91tech Do you think it’s worth buying certified refurbished (for the new battery) on the Apple website at $760 (I want 256gb)? Or is there a different iPhone at that price that’s better? Thanks!
The battery issue can fixed by getting a battery replacement through Apple. When I upgraded from the 13 Pro to the 15 Pro, instead of trading it in, I got the battery replaced and have it stored away as a back up. I did the same with the 11 Pro.
Not just a back up for me but you never know when a friend or family member needs a phone all of a sudden and you can come in with the clutch!
I bought it 10 months ago as a used phone and it was totally worth its price. Great performance, great camera and good battery time. I won’t upgrade for years now
nice
I still have the 13 Pro and funny enough I still have it running iOS 15. Super smooth experience.
I just ordered one from Amazon renewed their premium line.
I use my 13 pro max on iOS 15.1 to this day (never been updated and never will). Phone is rock solid. Given it’s built on the 5nm N5P TSMC node, it’s very power efficient and I will use the phone until it doesn’t make sense. Apple changes practically nothing anymore in their new offerings, so I’ll be using this phone for a while.
I wish I had a iPhone on iOS 15 but I do have a xr on 14 and a 11 on 16 so it’s ok
Excellent @@miamora01
15.1 same here 😂
Still in good shape since 2021
I am planing to buy the 13 pro refurbished rn
I had the 13 pro max and it was awesome. Then I switched to the samsung galaxy s23 ultra then now I'm on the samsung galaxy s24+. Definitely was Mt favorite iphone though.
The main benefit of upgrading to the latest iPhone model is the significant performance improvement. With faster processors, more RAM, and better overall efficiency, the latest iPhone delivers a more responsive, smooth, and capable user experience.
Me watching this on my 12 pro . 😂
Just sold my 13 pro max for the 15 pro max. Was an amazing phone but I’ve used it for 2Years every single day and things were slowing down and lagging. Love the 15 pro max😊
I have the 14 Pro Max now. I traded my 13 Pro on it. There have been times I've regretted that decision. It was a fantastic phone and the battery life was excellent. I'm staying with the 14 PM for several years so I can break the upgrade addiction. I miss that phone.
I’m still rocking the 13 Pro
The 13 Pro Max was one of my favorite iPhones of all time. If not for the 15 getting USB C I would still be using it. I just wanted USB C enough to justify the upgrade. But the 13 pro was a damn good phone
Bought a 256GB iPhone 13 Pro in fall of 2023 for 700€ and I don’t regret it. It’s just as fast as recent flagships but battery life ist rough after a almost 3 year degradation. I‘m going to get the battery replaced soon though. I think this phone will stay snappy and fast for at least 2 more years.
My biggest regret was trading in my iPhone 13 Pro Max for the 14 Pro Max, especially because of the loss of my physical SIM. I went through all kinds of hell trying to switch my eSim between my phones after that and ended up changing carriers 3 times over it.
Got one yesterday. It was a toss up between the phone or a pair of Gucci sunglasses from Harrods. I chose phone. I’ll get sunglasses next month
I have iPhone 15 looking to get iPhone 13 as a back up phone 😂
Still using my 13 Pro Max today and the battery is going strong. I don’t see any reason to upgrade right now.
Watching this on a 13 pro max, love the phone but am ready for a upgrade given my camera is busted, switching to the Galaxy S24 Ultra soon
I dont know if i should go for pro or pro max
idk if bigger is better or not
I also have ipad that i can watch movie or do things that need big screen on that
But still idk bigger is better or not
Love my iPhone 13 Pro, I was looking to upgrade this year but changed my mind as soon as I heard the 16 pro is bigger. Who wants bigger phones? It’s the opposite, I want a it smaller.
Any other tech reviews besides iphones?
watching on my 13 pro with a bit cracked back glass. got it for 290 euros (fk eu pricing)
I’m still on my 13pro and I’m planning to get the AirPod max 2 instead of upgrading to 16pro
How much Display on time do you get with around 85% batteryhealth? Have a nice deal here.
I'm watching this on a 13 pro max. Yeah if someone released this phone as a new model in 2024 as a mid tear offering I'd buy it if I didn't already have it as a lower price but still powerful phone.
I’m still using an iPhone X, it still works fine but I would love an upgrade to the Graphite iPhone 13 Pro Max.
i’m lovin my iPhone 13 Pro. It is very fast. The brightness is really good outside. The promotion is incredible. Battery is pretty good. Could be better, but if you use it very lightly during the day which I’m pretty much light on usage during the day when I’m with my girlfriend or going out, it lasts pretty much up until I get home when I get home I’m at least at 40 or 50% not bad overall it’s a very good phone still.
Bro which is the stable version of ios updates for 13 pro ??
As some apps requires ios 17 and above update . M a little bit worried ….
17.5.1 is the latest
I'm using the smaller one and the battery life is fantastic
I also really like the fact that 13 Pro and Pro Max are the most powerful 12MP Pro iPhone, meaning that it performs better in low light situations like night mode, but especially video and astrophotography where mine easily beat my friend's 14 Pro Max (her results are very noisy)
No intent to upgrade until Apple put 1-inch sensor into a Pro iPhone😊
How about the green screen on 13 pro/promax?
Everyone loved the 13 P/PM, definitely one of the best Apple has made to date. Still enjoying my 13 Pro even with 78% BH, it’s a non-issue even at this point though I can tell it’s not what it used to be and will eventually fork over the money to replace it.
Only reason I would want to upgrade is the new 24mp native resolution option on the 15 Pro and maybe some screen brightness and better thermal performance/less dimming. Likely wait another 1-2 years.
Oh the weight savings of the newer models is appealing as well. I complain about my 13 Pro can’t imagine having the Max lol
I'm driving the 13 pro daily since 2,5y (01/22) and it's still going strong. The only minor annoyance is that the screen gets smudgy so easily now as the oleophobic coating is completely gone and I didn't find a method to fix it yet. Does anyone have an idea?
The battery health is at 85% so gonna replace it some time when it reaches around 80%. Don't see any reason to upgrade as everything works fast and smooth and the features of the newer iphones aren't worth it for me.
In my country its still like $900 for 128GB model
Watching this on my 13 pro max
I upgraded to the 13 pro max 6 months ago, from the iPhone 12 for all these reasons, £495 refurbished.. iPhone 15 £800… no brainer 😊
13 pro is the best iPhone in a while . Still feels brand new
Its a great phone that people don't want to get rid of because of the SIM card from what I have heard.
