  • 2023 Volvo VNL 860 with only 700 delivery miles!!! This truck still had parts coming off the assembly line at the end of August. Come on in as we make this semi truck into a home.
There are so many upgrades to this truck. The make sure to add comfort to the drivers seat. The seat has so many functions, including 4 different adjustable back settings, tilts, adjust the base, back massager and heat. We keep the front of the cab as the driver area. We enjoy the extra storage up front for cleaning products, medical ben, breakdown repair kit, snacks and more!
Moving to the back! You can start the day without coffee. I used one of 2 open cubbies as a coffee and dish storage are. The other for an airfry. Then it was one to putting a portable hot water heat, water and sink in the wardrove . What a fun project that was!!
Then dinette is a nice feature. But the cushions are so comfortable!!! One thing that was important to Scott was eating a the table like we do at home. Without causing damage to the truck we added a murphy bed! Now we can use the table and our Crossroad Sleep System. AND that fridge... its huge!! I could easy fit one week of food if not two!
We use the top bunk for extra storage for things like the dirty laundry bag, computer/tec gear and our coats. We have a his and hers cabinets for cloth and show bags. That mostly sums up the truck!
Hope you have enjoyed this tour! Be careful, stay safe and enjoy the adventures.
    thanks for watching.

I don't know if someone already let ya know, but.....
The slide lever is for the resistance of the "bounce" you get from the air ride. One direction allows the seat to freely move up and down without resistance. The other direction allows you to adjust the amount of "bounce" you get, and make the seats up and down motion stiffer.

The lever you asked about controls the a,Lunt of suspension the seat has, up an down. You can soften the ride so the seat absorbs more or make the seat more rigid. To control the “front and back” motion on seat, there is a knob on the right side of the seat under the gear shift.

The mystery lever could be for the seat swivel feature. You pull that along with the front right lever while sitting and scoot slightly forward while turning towards the right. It puts you in position to watch tv from drivers seat. My 2019 has a similar lever and functions that way. I love it. Happy Truckin’

  • @ohiofjr

The mystery seat button, my KW has that and it is a chugged snubber, it locks the seat or allows it to move slightly front and back to smooth out the front and back movements of rough roads. Glad you guys are back, love all the great hints and tips.

That lever on your seat locks or unlocks the motion in the seat if you want it to slide forward and backwards while your truck makes motion it kinda works to absorb the rocking when breaking and bumps and such type stuff like that or you can lock your seat with it engaged to make your seat not slide back and forth and stay stiff in one position. It’s a driver preference and you just have to play with it and see what works best for you and your body and the road conditions your driving on. When there are constant bumps and stop and go traffic I prefer it locked into place and the seat not move back and forth because I tend to make it into a worse ridding situation due to that motion of the seat going forward and backwards I’ll hit the accelerator pedal harder sometimes and then it gets to be a really ruff ride then lol. I didn’t read any of the other comments people left you but you might have already gotten the information from someone else but just in case no one has helped you out that’s my experience with that lever on the seat. And your truck looks really good and you make it look very homie Have a safe trip out there ma’am and I appreciate the videos of your upgrades and ideas Keep them coming those will really help out drivers that don’t understand the OTR life out here

Such a long response only to be wrong lol it's a slider to adjust the shock dampening. So the seat either bounces up and down slow or fast. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ not used to rock back n forth.
