- Utilize the top bunk in your semi truck!! Ditch the factory mattress!!! Add a cabinet to optimize vertical space. Please be sure to anchor the cabinet to platform. The square storage totes make great extra storage for some many thing. They are also easy to grab down.
For husband and wife team drivers get a cot mattress or lounge chair cushion to add a small extra space for naps on the top bunk. Most importantly be creative. Make your truck into a home!! Make it a permit space.

You made me think I never had a truck i could stand up in except the last two years. NO TOP BUNK. When i bought my last truck it was the first truck that had a top bunk and i could stand up. It felt like I was in a Manson. I used the top bunk to store more stuff mostly JUNK (LOL). Got several plastic storage boxes. Then i got a ICECO two sided fridge. Put it up on the top bunk. Used it as a freezer worked great had ice cream all the time then. I was solo so i really didnt need a top bunk…Great video…
Not being able to stand up in the truck is hard on the body!!!! I love those old trucks, but living on the road in one had to have been a sacrifice for sure!! I 👏 you, sir!!! I'm not a very big person and just barely 5'4 so I seem to make the space look much bigger lol it has its goods in bads! Using the top bunk for storage is so helpful!! We have first aid/meds to treat anything we come down with!! another box with fixin' kinda stuff in for stuff that breaks. Lol some may see it as junk. I see it as I don't want to need it and not have it.

Great! However in accident or sudden emergency braking you could be killed like a great friend and his wife did rip charlie and jen..all that stuff broke free and it was strapped in and bolted very good but it all gave way in the sudden stop which lauched their storage into their heads and broke their necks those were only injuries😢😢😢😢 sure misd them rip friends. Just saying understand one thing KINETIC ENERGY is a very very powerful force.happy trucking stay safe😊
