QUESTION; How far have you driven on 1 charge? Are the tires Tubeless or tube? The "Dynamic Breaking is a pain, on a 66 you're best NOT to get it.. Good video NOTE EVERYONE; You access the battery compartment on many other Ewheels trikes the same way.. Make sure to flip the circuit breaker OFF, before installing new batteries..
HI, NICE VIDEO, THANKS. I AM MOMENTS FROM BUYING ONE OF THESE. I LIVE IN A SMALL SENIOR COMPLEX HERE IN HAWAII. WE HAVE THESE THINGS ALL OVER TOWN. THEY LOOK GREAT. PLEASE, WHAT WILL I EXPECT FROM THIS THING TO GO WRONG, OTHER THAN THE BATTERIES? I ALSO OWN ONE OF THESE LITTLE ELECTRIC WHEEL CHAIRS, ITS GREAT FOR INSIDE AND RUNNING AROUND THE COMPLEX, BUT THATS IT. TOO DANGEROUS TO RIDE OUT INTO TOWN. THAT THING WAS $3,300.... THE TWO LITHIUM BATTERIES WERE $1,200. SO I NOTICED WITH THE EWHEELS, THE WORKMEN DO COME OUT TO DO WORK ON THEM. I WILL WORK ON MY OWN.
The only thing I've noticed so far is the rear brakes don't work for crap on my model yours maybe different they should have went with disc brakes but they are all drum brakes in the back brakes. Glazed over for some reason or another
Had it about a year it goes right along pretty fast the rear brakes are kind of bad the front brakes are really good just don't turn too sharp you will flip it over. Just search the internet for E Wheels 36 and everything all show up
@@TheOriginalAndysGarage Thank you for the reply/info. I hope to decide on a mobility scooter that can take me around town for shopping, appts, etc. Am disabled and can no longer drive. Buses are ok but miss being able to cruise along where I want to. :)
My health is fine I ride an electric unicycle if you look up kingsong 18l is what I ride on and my wife rides her EW-36 scooter on the trails but she can still drive a car as well as me
I just got one, while charging the battery gauge "bounces" or "jumps", is this normal? Also, the weight of the "charging box" is crazy light, is that normal too?
Mine stays solid red and then this one is full charged it stays solid green, if you are driving it when you hit the gas the battery gauge will go down and then come back up when you let off the gas it just showing you the battery draw that's normal
@@TheOriginalAndysGarage No, I mean while it's plugged in and charging the needle on the guage "jumps". Also, is the weight of the box of your charger really really light?
@Brian Zielinski I bought is called an intelligent charger 48 volt 20 amp hours and the model number is DZM4820001 , yes the charger box is light there's nothing to it, my gauge on the machine does not bounce unless you have the key on maybe I don't know
@@bigblaze2532 I have a E46. The charger that came with it only lasted about 6 months it is junk. I orderd a new one on Amzon it must weight at least a pound. At it's been working fine for a year in half. I will get the brand and module number for you later when I get home
I need to replace batteries on an EW-36, but I don't see how to lift the plastic storage compartment tray out to get to them without breaking it, since the seat hinges block it from being lifted out. Can anyone help?
EW-36 | ewheelsdealers www.ewheelsdealers.com/product-page/ew-36 The only difference between the older and new ones are the rims, my look more like a fan-shaped or turbine looking rim, there all basically still the same the very first ones did not have a speed dial, they added that in after the fact by the throttle because grandma was going too damn fast with them, LOL
HELP PLEASE !!! Just changed batteries. Fresh out the box. Charged until charger was green. Batteries died within ten minutes. This has happened on TWO sets of batteries...Please advise
One Wheel Appeal: it has quite a good range as is. Under normal circumstances I don't think you would need the extra batteries, but it's a nice option to have. 👍
I know I usually do about 20 miles on my wheel and by then my feet are falling off, so she should have plenty of battery left after riding the trails and she should get pretty good range considering the trails are pretty level and flat
I've got the same one but mines the Competition Orange and I bought new batteries hired a neighbor to replace because I am disabled to a certain extent. But he messed it all up I can't even go out my gate now for months lights don't work etc. Help please Kenny ( Las Vegas NV)
@@TheOriginalAndysGarage here's mine I just bought the 4 gel batteries and they sent know chords what so ever to use for the new ones. So I used the old ones and he cut um nipped them , spliced whatever he did I can't role the furthest I've ridden it is probably 26 miles one trip. But mine runs 24 mph
It's honestly not that complicated open the seat remove the black pan in the batteries are right there if you can't remember the wiring diagram take a picture of it put in new batteries and put back together it's really not that hard
I got fooled into buying the EW-75 for $3600. Worst purchase of my life. When you let off the throttle, the rear wheels lock up and you will either wreck or skid to a halt. Company says there is no way to by pass this, they tell me to try and sell it. Why would anyone want to buy this knowing how dangerous this is. Piece of junk!!
I got the EW-36 and when you twist the throttle it just basically comes on full speed and you end up pulling a wheelie and the brakes suck in the back, I even put a new throttle on it and it still does it And the battery chargers will overcharge the batteries batteries and heat them up so hot they melt together I've already been through 2 sets of batteries with this piece of crap so now I put it on a timer
I'm sure that you and your wife are very nice people and I wish you all the best of happiness and success, but it's clear you have no idea what you're doing or what you're talkin about. First of all the ewheels scooters are by far the lowest quality scooter that I have seen and worked on in my over 30 years as a service tech for Mobility devices. Secondly the batteries that you showed are two of the cheapest and worst Brands batteries that money can be wasted on. It's clear that you are an internet purchaser and you think you're getting good deals. You are not you're getting ripped off. Truly all the best of luck and stay offline when buying stuff like this.
I know that that's why I got it cheap I only paid I think 300 for the scooter so I bought cheap batteries you can only buy what you can afford, and the reason why I bought it is because it does 18 miles an hour not 8 miles an hour like the grandmas scooters I've had many of those and I put gasoline engines on them see my other videos I was doing 45 miles an hour down my road on a three-wheel rascal scooter
You did not really show a thing in this video on how to change the battery. Just a waste of people time when attempting to really learn. Why call it a battery change when all you really did was show off the scooter all torn apart?
Here is a more detailed video.
