In this video, we'll show you how to get the EW-36 going once its out of the box. When you order the EW-36 Scooter brand new, it will show up in a big truck with a lift gate.
The scooter will show up in a large box already assembled. You will need to unbox the scooter, then remove it from the wooden pallet that it is secured to for safe shipping. You will need to use a hammer or crow-bar to remove a few pieces of wood from the shipping pallet to remove the scooter from the wooden pallet.
Once the scooter is removed from the pallet and out of the box, you can watch this video to learn how the scooter works and how to get it going for the first time.

I been looking into getting one I'm 30 years old had a stroke when I was little, working at a grocery store and caught one elderly lady regular shopper she was driving one of these and I had to ask how it rides she's loves it lol. I wanna so drive this lol this is a goal I have!!

This scooter has been great to me for a year and a half now, had some issues, but I fixed them, now I am about to fix it again, because it just wont go at all anymore, I know I can fix it, it ain't that complicated.

When I got mine the first thing I did was take the basket off ... makes it easier to fit into elevators , buses and the max train ... be very careful , the plastic body isn't sturdy at all ... if you back into something the body will crack easily. The battery holds a charge easy and well . One thing that this needs to come with is a socket and ratchet for removing the tires when you have a flat ( I do have a flat tire now) Tomorrow I have to figure the socket size ... buy one and get my tire fixed

I absolutely love my scooter- I have mine in a bright yellow. Can you please tell me who to contact me to get the front alignment corrected? I went up a wheelchair ramp that was too steep, now it pulls to the right :(

if I heard correctly, when opening the trunk with the key you said to turn counter clockwise when in fact you turned clockwise. Anywhere in Canada to obtain the unit? Likely in the Toronto area would be ideal as my friend who is investigating would like to find source and service in the GTA.

Do they make a receiver hitch carrier for this?
There are 2 variables at play, the type of vehicle, and the lift it self being compatible with that vehicle. You would need a big vehicle to lift that product. You also need to have a pre-installed hitch receiver on your vehicle, and we would need to know what class it is as well as how high it is from the ground to provide a compatible option(s) for a hitch lift. Thank you for the tutorial, & I have a question I am hoping you can answer. A friend of mine has one very similar to this one, in fact could be the same model, & I would like to purchase one as well, however, hers is now 4 years old, & she is finding that the battery is no longer able to take a full charge, therefore less time for riding, & also one of her tires is now a little low, so if this happens to mine, is there a possible replacement battery, or a way to deal with the motor losing energy faster, and also, if the tires get somewhat deflated after time, how do you inflate the tires on this model? Your response is greatly appreciated :)
Batteries on these scooters only last about 2 years on average.

And can you tell me if this model is lithium or regular batteries, & do the lithium ones last longer, as I did hear those batteries were more long lasting. Who installs the replacement batteries if needed, as this is something I could not do myself......Your response is appreciated 🙂
@@sandyleewhite No problem. The EW-36 comes with standard sealed-lead-acid batteries and yes, you would always replace the entire set of batteries. To my knowledge, there are no lithium batteries for sale that would work for this unit. You would need to find a local company to replace the batteries, I would guess most local mobility scooter dealers can do it. We would be able to help you if you were ever in South Florida.
There is a tire gauge and the owners manual should tell you how much pressure to put in it.

How do you remove the shrink wrap that covers all the lights? Do I have to remove all the light fixtures to remove the plastic wrap?
There's no easy way to do it, just has to be done manually by hand.
use a sharp razor blade and carefully cut around the outer edges
I wedged a flat screwdriver in between the two pieces of plastic very carefully, just enough to open the gap far enough to pull the plastic out. For around the clear display panel, I was unable to do it that way so I used an X-Acto knife and cut away the plastic right tight next to the clear part housing the display which the plastic was around so I could not see any remaining plastic margins.
Can that loud noise that comes on when you turn be disabled and how would I get one and pay monthly on it
Unfortunately, that is not something you can do without physically removing the buzzer from the board and that will likely break other components. It's not worth it. My scooter is no longer charging. The green light on the adaptor comes on when it's plugged in but the red light doesn't come on. Also, no electricity is coming from the adaptor. Is there a way to troubleshoot this?

You couldn't ride it in the rain you said. I've seen other mobility scooters that sell rain covers also good for the sun. I've been searching for one for this scooter but none are compatible. Any idea where I can find one?
I don't think there is a scooter cover made for this model. Unless its something custom. I would recommend a Afikim Afiscooter C or S, they have really nice rain covers and are designed to handle puddles.

You guys really should let people know that these scooters have known issues and most replacement parts have been discontinued. The majority of individuals that would need such equipment cannot afford to take the hit.
We actually do, anyone that asks to buy an E-Wheels scooter from us is immediately told about the high-defect rate and repair-rate. We also explain that we are not confident in their ability to work off road. We try everything in our power to inform them of the known issues both with in-store prospects and online prospects. This video was made in mid 2020 and since then, we have stopped making videos for E-Wheels products. Ultimately, some folks don't hede our warnings and end up buying them anyway because of the low-price point.
@@MobilityDirect Happy to know you guys are taking on the responsibility. I happen to be looking for a Pride Raptor that I do not have to wait 3 or 4 months on. Just went through a nightmare with a local company. Have cash, have prescription, waiting on a deal.
@Peter Hicks They have been discontinued for some time now, so no parts available. They have also went up about 700 bucks in price also since we allowed a deadhead in the Whitehouse.

I'm enjoying my ew36 but you have to be careful going up an incline. Even a slight incline the front wheel will come off the ground if you go to increase the speed.

Would you recommend this to a 26 year old disabled person? Is it safe?? I'm 4'11 and weigh 120lbs. I saw some reviews saying it tilts back easily and it falls on people. I love everything about it speciallythe speed since I'm very impatient lol, but am scared it'll fall on top of me and need help getting back up since my legs are kinda weak and my balance is bad. Thank you.
I would recommend the Raptor or the Afiscooter C3 instead.
All you have to do is slow down a lot for turns but I've had mine for 2 years (or a month or 2 less) and never had an issue with safety... I'm 67 and heavy.

The EW-36 has brakes that are similar to a bike's braking system. If you cannot find a scooter tech, try contacting a bike shop or tech they might be able to help.

@@michaeljhayify That's a breaker reset switch. If your unit goes over a big bump or if it trips for any reason, you can use that button to reset it.

I got a wheeler scooteror disabled people at the plug inside the scooter I think a wires missing where you plug it in the socket inside the scooter and that's why he doesn't want to charge I think a wires came off when I hit a bump ableand that plug I put the egg inside and it doesn't want to charge because I think a wire got pulled off inside where you plug it in the socket inside and scooterin the socket inside takes three little plugs where it goes inside the the socket three little holes inside I think one wire was missing from there

I love your videos. They are very informative. I also love this scooter, however, the quality doesn't seem to be very good. I look at the tiller above the left handle, I see that the manufacturer sent you a scooter where the parts don't connect together properly. It looks like it was dropped. It is all about optics for a customer at least for this customer. The red panel has a large gap between it and the black. It isn't that way on the right side. If they sent a product out like that, it makes me wonder about the overall quality of the unit and how many problems I would have due to poor craftmanship. These machines are expensive, I would expect better. Please tell me that this is rare. Sorry to be such a downer but it not a great selling image.

Those won't work on this model, they are only rated for 24 volts. This scooter runs on 48 volts.
