    Excellent review. Probably one of the best I've seen on you tube. I am now ast the point where I am going to need a mobility scooter. Was looking at the Boomer Beast 2. It looks to be a lot of fun. After watching your video, I saw the honest practicality of the EW-11. Plus it looks like it can be a lot of fun also. This scooter reminds of the Vespa I drive when I lived in Italy. Thank you for your video and including me on your ride along. Have fun, stay safe and stay healthy!

      Thanks for your feedback. This scooter is too large really to go into a store or put in my car, and I have a Go Go Scooter for that. But, for getting around the neighborhood, parks, etc. it is so fun. It also is taller that a Go Go so you do feel as though you are more visible when you're out on the street. Very much like a Vespa in height. So, far we are problem free and I have become more confident on the scooter and no issues at all with turning, stopping, or keeping it upright (because of the second tire on the back.). If you want to know more and see specs, check out the link in the description box above.

    Weird I purcased a used one of these about a year ago to take Camping. Golf Carts are HEAVY so this lightweight unit seemed like a good compromise. I use it for everything, gathering wood for the fire, riding around the grounds, taking the trash to the dumpsters, ect. I usually only charge it once and it's good for several days of riding around even on several year old batteries.
    What surprises me the most is I take this in the dirt, over large roots and up surprisingly steep inclines and descents. The thing never bats an eye, just keep it straight so you don't tip over! I never though it would have the torque to pull itself with me up dirt and rock hills like it does.
    Mine has different controls though, and it doesn't have a the back up alarm that beeps. The digital display is also very different and simpler, with a 4 bar batter icon, and a kph display I can't switch over. I don't know how old the one I have is, but the original owner said about 4 years. So it would put mine around 2016.

    Beautiful happy couple and doggo had a blast. I am looking into this unit as my arthritis is too troublesome for public transit. I am worried it will not fit into my elevator..Old building with really small elevator. I love it though, so beautiful, and is it smooth, like really smooth? thanks in advance and keep on enjoying it. ps... i wonder how cold of a temperature it can operate in because i live in toronto. thank you.

      @deanfamilyreviews816  Před 3 lety +2

      We are having fun. Please click here for the specs: www.mobilityscootersdirect.com/pdf/EW-11-Manual.pdf. I’m thinking that the turning radius may prevent you from getting in a small elevator. My GoGo Mobility scooter can turn in the smallest spaces where the EW 11 is much more like steering a Vespa. I think you could eventually do it but it would take several backs and forth.or you would need to drive in forward and stop and then back out when you get to your floor. The dimensions are in the specs I sent so you can see if it’ll fit. Also with the shocks it is a smooth ride. They recommend you don’t go over a 4 inch curb. Or operate on frozen, slippery or salty roads and to not let the battery freeze.

  • @derkhedemann5606
    @derkhedemann5606 Před 2 lety +2

    if the scooter moves forward without you accelerating, the throttle lever is set too tight.
    you can set that back a bit at the lever or at the motor, there is an adjustment screw in front of that, just like you adjust a brake

    Confussed! Is this gas or battery/electric "power"ed? Will I need a drivers license or photo i d? Insrance? Knee pads & helmet? Do you think there's a learning curve period, seems relatively easy, fun and sporty?

    • @deanfamilyreviews816
      @deanfamilyreviews816  Před 2 lety +2

      Electric only. No DL. It’s considered a mobility scooter that looks like a European scooter, so no pads or helmet needed. Fun and sporty and easy to drive. Just a bit of learning curve with the throttle and going around corners but it will not tip over.

    '"NO MOTORIZED VEHICLES ALLOWED IN PARK" is a false statement. Any EW series scoot IS allowed literally everywhere. That includes ALL national parks, & all state and local parks as well. Stores, Trails, Parks: ANYWHERE. It's legal under the Americans with Disabilities Act, which is NATIONAL LAW. Anywhere a human can walk, you can ride.
    The law also says that you can sue anyone or any organization that tries to prevent your access.
