    I played this game once on BGA and bought it right away. 💯The mechanism of this game feels very organic.

      I totally agree SH! It really flows. Xavier is one of my fav designers and he has done it again.

    Amazing tutorial 😁
    I’m glad I watched it because I’ve been trying to play it but the rules seems too much for me and I’m not sure why 😆
    I do have a question, when you make Donations, do you take the disc from your projects or from the extra supply? Sorry I just didn’t notice that on your video

    • @TotallyTabled

      Thanks! I'm glad my video helped. I really enjoy Carnegie. Great game. As for your question, you take the disc from your supply when making a donation. Thanks so much for watching and supporting the channel for so long!

    Nice playthrough! Great camera work.
    I don't think you take your event (income/donations) during Andrew's turn. You wait until it's your turn (2.4).

    Just come across your channel. Very good presentations and subbed. Question : @25:00 you claimed income but did not seem to get your project tracks income, did you do that off camera or was a reason to not be able to?

  • @JustbGood2
    @JustbGood2 Před 2 lety +4

    You did not take your project income in the last round and it would have given you one more cube and 7 more money - enough for a final donation.

      It probably would work with some tweeking. I wouldn't be surprised if someone on BGG has come up with something. I'm glad you enjoyed the playthrough! Thanks for checking it out.

    Perfect timing! I've been thinking about grabbing the deluxe version of this. Where does this rank on your top solo euros?

    • @TotallyTabled
      @TotallyTabled  Před 2 lety +4

      Thanks for watching Skiggs! You know what.. this one keeps growing on me. I want to play a few more times before I record my final thoughts later this week but I'm surprised how much I've enjoyed my five plays. The AI is very easy to manage and the solo game plays in one hour. And the decision making is really deep for such a medium weight ruleset. I'm definitely impressed!

    8:20 Hi, are you sure Carnegie always goes first, i think its according to player turn order. Good video as always!

    • @marcojean6578
      @marcojean6578 Před rokem +1

      I was doubtful too but went back to the rules. Solo section 2.2.1. And 2.2.2. States who chooses the action depending on the train’s location. Then, 2.3. States Andrew plays and finally, 2.4 states the player takes its turn.

    • @kornelije.h
      @kornelije.h Před rokem +2

      Javier is right, the player goes 1st on the player's turn, Carnegie on his.
      Clarification from the game designer on BGG.
      Anyhow, very nice video. Thank you.

    Fantastic video! Thanks so much!!
    Question: At 37:06 you spent $6 to get 6 cubes. Does the 3x on that building mean you can only activate it 3 times and only be able to spend $3 to get 3 cubes?

    Thanks for doing this video. I'm refer to it once I get the game. Is this the retail or deluxe version?

    • @TotallyTabled
      @TotallyTabled  Před 2 lety +1

      This was the KS deluxe edition. I think some of the wooden bits and the train was really the only upgrades. Only cosmetics things I think, no gameplay differences. Retail would be more than fine. Thanks Nir!

    What is the correct way to set up blocked off spaces?
    A) Prepare automa deck per chosen level, shuffle and then open 18 cards
    B) Shuffle and open 18 basic automa cards for setup and then adjust the automa deck per chosen level?
    It's one of the few unclear things. Thanks :)

  • @TheLostTones
    @TheLostTones Před 6 měsíci

    Correct me if I am wrong but I think there is a mistake when you got the point for cities linked. The manual says you have to connect at least 2 major cities (sf, new orleans, Chicago and NY, the ones with the link symbol). Then you add the link points with the mininum level of trains you got in those regions and look the points in the board. I can see you didn’t connect any major cities so there is no point in this case, instead of 18.
    You have discs in NY and sf but the cities are not connected.
    Thanks for the video. It helped a lot in my first play. Appreciate if you can answer.

    Looks like a good game. How's the variability from play-to-play?

    • @TotallyTabled
      @TotallyTabled  Před rokem

      The variety of available offices with special actions definitely mixes up the puzzle from game to game, but the puzzle is basically the same. I think it is pretty typical for a euro game. Less variability then Troyes, one of my favorites of his. Thanks for watching Edward!

    Have watched video and am very interested but concerned about space taken for solo play on my game table. Is it possible for someone to measure space needed including all componants? Strange question, I know! Thanks in advance for your help

    • @TotallyTabled

    Additionally, you count your money and cubes. Why?
