Slip stream doesn’t affect the speed when crossing a corner
I can't believe I just found out about your channel, so much catching up to do! These playthrough/tutorial hybrids are excellent, super well produced, informative and entertaining :)
Thanks so much for those kind words, Ben. I'm glad you found my channel and welcome! I hope you enjoy the rest of the content here. Have a great day!
wauw!! This is such a great video. Clear explanation of the rules. Enthusiastic. Amazing camera angles. I'm glad I found this video
I'm glad you enjoyed the video and discovered the channel. Thanks for checking it out!
This was so entertaining to watch and has convinced me to add the rest of the modules on my future plays :) So far all I’ve done was legends and garage. Let’s go weather!
I like it best with everything turned on. The interactions with the parts cards and weather can be fun. Having that double slipstream on the long straight was a definite advantage for me, which I desperately needed. And it was fun! Thanks for watching!
Great game. I just discovered this so it's nice to see it in action with strategy discussions and great rules breakdowns
Great video and playthrough! I love Heat as well, such a fantastic game, solo, with friends, so much content and fun in one box!
Totally agree! Great at all player counts. This one will be remembered as a classic. Thanks for watching!
really appreciate the explanation detail, particularly the legends. i only glosses over the rulebook and didn't quite understand how they worked until i watched ur video. good job. also appreciate the time taken to edit zooming in and out.
Thanks so much! I'm glad the video was helpful. I really hope you enjoyed the game and I really appreciate you checking out the channel!
That was awesome and gave a great insight into the game. Love your delivery and passion for the game... thanks. Got mine delivered today imported from the UK to Australia
Thank you so much. I really hope you enjoy the game!
very exciting, thank you for filming it!
Thanks for checking it out, Andrew. It was a tense finish.
Very helpful video detailing the Solo Bot rules. Thanks and great job!!!
I'm glad you found the video helpful. Thanks so much for checking it out!
Awesome as always Shaggi. 🤘🏁🏎️
Thank you so much 😀
Awesome that you used all modules. I first watched Rodney Smith but he only explained the easy mode. This video helped a lot!
I'm glad the video helped, Roy. Thanks for checking out the playthrough!
Excellent tutorial video. Great job.
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic Game! What a close catchup happening right in the last lap.
Thanks, Kevin. It definitely could have gone either way at the end. I was doubting I had a chance for a while, but Heat tends to have exciting finishes.
Great work!!
Thanks so much, electricLD! I'm glad you enjoyed the playthrough.
Thanks for the great video, it helped me a lot and I enjoy the game,
I'm so happy to hear my video helped. I think Heat is a great game and I'm glad you are enjoying your time with it. Thanks so much for checking out the video!
Great playthrough!
Thanks so much!
Thank you so much for this video. Now i'll play some rounds with the TTS, before buying it. :)
You're welcome! I heard this is also in Alpha on Board Game Arena, if you play over there. Hope you enjoy the game! Thanks for watching!
Heat is a great game. Thx for the playthrough.
Thanks for watching!
Great game and great playthrough!
Thanks so much! I appreciate your kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed the playthrough. Have a great day!
Great playthrough.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for checking out!
The only thing this game needs now is an expansion with a 3D model of the Monaco racing track
Thanks great explanations
You are very welcome! Thanks for checking it and supporting the channel.
Great video as usual! I know they are 2 very different games but for a racing game would you recommend this over Steampunk Rally Fusion? Or is there another you would recommend more?
I am basically a solo player only. No friends lol.
I heard that heat is a good game, but i didn't know it could play solo, so i didn't think you would play it! I'm very happy right now! Think im gonna wait to watch it on my pc though, our power is out again, and this small screen is killing my eyes
Solo in a racing game is rare and it is fantastic in Heat. A great solo game if you like pure racers. Sorry to hear about your power. Hope it returns soon. I definitely avoid watching videos on my phone, as my eyes have always been bad and are just getting worse by the day. Hope you enjoy the video, PhoenixSlayer!
More cars and circuits in the upcoming expansion........Just saying!!!!!
@@rcspaintservice 🙏 Can't wait to get my hands on the game!
Awesome game! Your videos are very entertaining to watch.
The only thing I noticed is that on your first turn you could have actually used the weather slip stream effect to move yourself through the corner for free, it does not count toward your speed. Not only is slip streaming around corners allowed, it's encouraged when you use the press module.
Thanks for watching. I speak about slipstreaming on the first turn in detail during the video and explain why I decided not to do so.
This is incorrect...
His speed (the sum of cards spent this turn) was 8. The corner limit is 5.
You (davinmadsen) are correct that you don't "add" the result of slipstreaming to the speed, but you STILL must compare your played speed to the corner limit if you pass a corner while slipstreaming.
Slipstreaming is applied before the corner check.
Really need to watch this. I bougth Rallyman GT a while ago and i really like the Multiplayer, but the Solo is pretty meh. I heard a LOT of good about Heat as a Solo game.
I really love it, Zulfrak. It feels like a race, the AI is so quick and simple you can easily run 5 of them, the decisions are fun, there is a great arc and tons of tension. Plus with 4 maps in the box and a ton of different cards you can add to your car, weather conditions and a small campaign -- plenty of content to keep things feeling fresh. If you like pure, simple racing games, this is the best! I hope you enjoy the video!
Great video! One Queston, because I dont own the game: Do you resolve normal movement first, then (optional) adrenaline and then the stress movement? Because the + is after the other two on the tableau. Or is it just for the boost? Thanks
You resolve stress with your basic movement, like I did in the playthrough. The plus on the player board is for the optional boost. Thanks for watching!
I wish I could find a copy! Looks like a lot of fun. Thanks for the video.
I had no idea it was hard to get. I'm sure it is temporary. Definitely worth giving it a try. Thanks for watching!
Game of the year
I wish people would quit talking about this game until it becomes available again! 😀
It's not available? I had no idea. I'm sure it will be easy to get soon. Thanks for watching!
@@TotallyTabled sold out in US, but not in Europe
Where you located?
ebay has some for sale if you reaaaaaally want the game now (like me). Was worth the extra cost for me
It seems you have to be VERY lucky to win the game! :D
I have to be lucky, but most people could use skill. 😃
On your turn, If you play a stress card, do you have to resolve it before the other cards?
Yes, you resolve the stress and collect your full pool of movement points before moving the full amount. Thanks for watching!
At 28:17, shouldn't Green move to Block no. 17 rather than 16, given that he is moving 16 spaces from No. 33?
Yep, can't argue with that math. Nice calculations. Thanks for watching!
did you try Race formula 90? thinking buy that one or heat.
Sorry, I haven't tried that one. I remember hearing good things about it. Sounded a bit heavier and more involved than Heat, but I'm not sure. Thank for watching!
At 30:00 - you should have boosted which would have placed you next to Black.
Unless I drew a 1 or a 4, right?
@@TotallyTabled but your first card was a 4 and the long straight is the only place you really can use the boost
19:56 You forgot to pay a Heat!!
I didn't go over the speed limit so I didn't need to spend the extra heat.
Playing solo I believe you should start last against the Legends.
I don't see that in the rules. Do you have a page number?
@@TotallyTabled just checked the rules, looks like the cars are placed randomly - don't know why i thought players where placed last.
@@rcspaintservice Maybe you're confusing with Flamme Rouge?
Ricky Royal would be proud.
I love his videos but I don't get the reference.
@@TotallyTabled just that it is a great play through video, like the early videos of his that helped so many of us (specifically for Mage Knight for me).
Your video just gave me that vibe…a well played, well explained solo play through.
I’d like to think he helped spawn the idea, and is one of the best.
Ah, nice. Thank you. I completely agree with everything you said about Ricky Royal. Great videos and inspirational to all of us doing this. It is a great compliment to be compared, so thank you. He once saw one of my early videos and wrote a very kind comment on it, which meant a lot to me as a new creator in this space. Thanks for checking out the playthrough!
