Skidoo Recoil not engaging PERMANENT FIX!

- If your skidoo recoil isn't engaging and keeps breaking their is multiple ways to fix it! I chose to use a bolt however sometimes you can get away with making shims. This method should fix the problem for good! hopefully all you'll ever have to do is tighten the bolt more as it wears down more.

all taken apart I'm on my way to the store to buy some Loctite and the proper fitting bolt with a lock nut on my back and side also. Should be able to reassemble it sometime tomorrow

yeah i found this to work the best the after market ones fall apart pretty quick and OEM is un godly expensive. Just takes a little patients getting the bolt tightness right! make sure you use Loctite so the bolt doesn't back out and wreak your stator! I also recommend using a jam nut on the other side. I should probably re make this video now that I'm a little more organized with making videos haha
Hi. For future fixes get a new rubber O-ring, then the mechanism will catch.
Yes and if it needs a new pawl, Kimpex has a rebuild kit for $25 that has the pawl the other teardrop plastic part a new metal retaining washer the metal spacer and a new o-ring.
