    WOW CODY, YOUR CUSTOMERS MUST LOVE YOU. THEY ALWAYS KNOW THAT THE ABSOLUTE BEST JOB WAS DONE ON THEIR BIKE. IF ALL POWER SPORTS TECHS WERE LIKE YOU WE COULD ALL REST ASSURED OUR BIKES ARE SAFE AND WILL PERFORM THE EXACT WAY THEY WERE MEANT TO.     G'day there Cody. Thanks for your great videos. I am a complete novice when it comes to things like this. You have help me solve a few of issues today with your helpful videos. First you helped me locate an electrical gremlin where my indicators weren't working. You showed me how to pull apart, clean and rebuild my indicator switch. Although that wasn't where the gremlin was hiding. Then you showed me how to check the switch to see if its getting power...that's where I located the little bugger :) The loom plug was a little loose and not making proper contact.
    Then I was cleaning my rims and noticed that one of the rear brake pads was down to bare metal. A couple of quick phone calls to get new pads and then back to your channel to find out how to replace them. Without your help and simple to follow instructions...my 89 VFR750 would be a huge paper weight LOL :D

    Relatively new to riding motorcycles and havent done to much work on my own bike. I've worked on cars since I was 8 years old but never bikes. Happened on your channel with doing a Google search on how to fix my incredibly annoying sticky turn signal on my Shadow VLX and then proceeded to spend the last 3 hours watching your videos. love how detail oriented your work is, great video quality(many CZcams videos explain what to do but just show a large scale image where you are left wondering where and what they are talking about) thanks for helping ease me into the motorcycle world.

    Doing my rear brakes this weekend on a 1998 Shadow Aero VT1100C3. I've done the pads to my car many many years ago, (couple of decades, really), so I knew I COULD do it, just wasn't confident I could do it correctly. Thanks to your video, my confidence level is much higher. Keep up the good work, this old gal is new to riding, but willing to learn!

    Nice work man! Between you and Shane Conley, I'm becoming way more confident in my work. The cleanup and greasing steps are super important. Otherwise those pads will get hung up and wear out immediately - I learned the hard way. ...And I can relate to the EARLY mornings.

    Your a great tech and teacher. I don't always agree with some of your methods, but they are always a safe and efficient way of doing the tasks at hand. Just different from what I was taught.

    I myself use only silicone paste for slide pins, it works just great. And another thing - aren't main square seals directional? I always thought - if you get it wrong - and you press brake pedal - fluid will just spill out/pass thru.

    Thanks from Australia, Cody. I'm about to do the brakes on my Honda ST1100 ABS, and hadn't thought to polish the callipers.
    As there are 4 on the front 2 rotors, and I have just passed 155,000 km (90,000 miles) I should really take the time to look at them properly.

    This is a good video man, I work on cars and already do use most of the tips you showed on cars as well. It would be tough for me to remember to show a new dude all of the tips in this vid mostly cuz it's second nature now.

      +Harman Singh I know exactly what you mean. It's almost hard for me to touch every fundamental concept because of that exact reason. I do it so often that I think something would be so "basic" or "simple" that it's not worthy for the video. That's a real struggle I have with choosing what to shoot! What I have found is that everything is valuable and I must teach as if the person that is watching knows absolutely nothing. It would be dangerous not to ya know!

      +meandering _ I'm glad you enjoy it man! It's a tiny bike! Little sluggish but very nimble! The new CRF250L is far better, larger, faster. I REALLY REALLY hope Honda reaches into the 450L market.

    hey cody what do you use to spread the grease? is it a paintbrush? iv tried using all kinds of stuff but cant get anything good. ie. sticks, toothpicks, cotton swabs, fat long screws....

    Have you heard of brake buzz? My new pads make a slight buzzing sound, like bees. Constantly, not just while braking. Could it possibly be from a semi stuck piston?

    Won't the grease melt due to the heat generated in the brakes?
    Aren't any other heat resistant lubricants better for the job?
    Molly paste maybe?

    WOULD YOU GIVE ME THE PART NUMBER FOR THE COPPER CRUSH WASHER ON THE WATER PUMP FOR A 2007 hONDA SHADOW SPIRIT vt750c2, i DROVE SIXTY MILES TO THE NEAREST hONDA DEALER AND THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG PART.
