- The 2016 CIF-Southern Section D3 Prelims Track and Field meet was held on a windy May 14 at Estancia High School. In the running events, 9 athletes (or relay teams) advance to CIF-SS Finals. This video presents all 6 heats of the Boys 100M dash.

Crazy high winds...add a 10th of a second to the time if the wind is +1 m/s...still fast for high school though.
I don't know why people say their age and time. When you're young your age has little to do with your time. It's all about your physical maturation. There are plenty of kids that hit puberty early. Ex: A 6"9 400lbs 16 year old at IMG for football. Or, 7ft 13 year old basketball players. You can't say just your age and time.

I rarely run but I ran a 13 second 100M two years ago when I was 14 and these people train everyday to get speeds like this. Should I join track next year? Don't know what I run now probably between 11-18. I have gotten slower because I used to run for wrestling.

My sprint time was 11.8 in 8th grade. Am a freshman now. Maybe I should ask my coach if I could do sprinting too. I still prefer being a miler though.

1. His start will be horrible. I don't care how much training he's done, he hasn't started in a competition.
2. 6'4", a person that tall (generally speaking) won't hit top speed (turnover) until late in the race. He doesn't have the race experience (let alone race sharpness) to develop some great turnover.

Ngl all of them have many faults in basic technique whether it's their starts or maintenance phase. They're obviously all very quick but it just looks like a group of fast kids that have just been told to run as fast as they can without having done any training or knowing anything about how to run a 100m.
