That last leg of the 5th heat, he made it seem like the other kid was jogging! I mean he just blew right by that guy! Wow!
Asani Hampton is so awesome,I love the way he runs down the other sprinters.
his technique is so clean
Right!!! he did not come to play! He came to race! and to win!
I saw him in another race and he went from last to 4th as an anchor
OMG did these coaches not teach proper hand offs only saw a couple of good passes
Those hand offs😔
I feel so bad for the teams that let their sticks drop. It is like I can feel how embarrassed and disappointed they felt. They really would have gotten a great track time.
I wouldn't even care about being embarrassed I'd be scared of what my coach would say
it's almost like you can tell who's going to win by who has the coolest looking uniform.
8:45 lane 7 what was that start ???? Did he not hear set or is that actually how he starts.
Sadly, i think it was because he didnt hear set
He didn’t hear set I think
Nigga I didn't hear set.
@@lyrics2challenged That was you?
@@lyrics2challenged that was you?
I enjoy watching & cheering for athletes so much! I can just wish that I could have been like that.
Thank you! I enjoyed this video.
11:40 green head smoked him
Heat 3 was INTENSE.
You should put the fastest people at the last leg.
Kekman jx25 it’s actually the shortest leg, there’s a lot that goes into it. Fastest is usually second because that tends to be the longest but personalities play into what leg you run too
@@idealrunner5043 really? I did not know that, thanks
The order is typically second slowest, fastest, slowest, second fastest but some other things matter too like who starts the best, who runs better on curves, etc.
Karl Marx that’s a common misconception and I can respectfully prove you wrong just by watching this race. Take a team with ideal handoffs (towards the last third of the zone) and you’ll get what I mean. Due to the way the race is structured, each athlete is required to cover at least 100 meters (or whatever is left on the track) with the baton. So for the first leg, a hand off cannot even occur until exactly 100 meters; however, to be as efficient as possible handoffs are most practical late in a zone to keep it moving as fast as possible (as the race is not won by the four fastest runners but who gets the baton around the track the fastest). So the first leg will usually run 110-120 meters. The next leg will then run around 120-130 meters (but usually 100-105 with the baton) and the third leg will do the same thing. The final exchange zone runs from 110-90 meters from the finish line. If the relay team has yet another good handoff, the anchor leg should get the baton with around 95 meters left, maybe less if they’re lucky/late. Thus, the runner has the shortest leg of the three
@@username8644 110m is literally the longest distance that the anchor can possibly run (with the baton) if the 3rd leg gives it to him RIGHT as he enters the exchange zone
Can we get the videos for the 100 that’s the big questions
Very good
Can we please get the D2 prelims
All 4 sprinters need to be on the same level of performance.....such as team work....but the main ingredient is the handoffs
Come on to Florida...
8:46 I feel bad for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th members of the team, that first leg was absolutely embarrassing. He was too nervous in his head to even hear “SET” and then he slowed down before he even gave the backstraight runner the baton smh.
Thor Park these guys are from the same school I go to lmao.
Like watching 4x1 relay it’s lit 🔥
Fr
Damn they slow!!!! What kind of handoffs are those!?!?
Texas is the best in track. Houston to be exact
Dami O “TRACK HOUSTON YOUTH!!!” They be the best all the way from middle school to college
sprinting for sure
These handoffs are just terrible their times could be so much better their coaches should be ashamed
I ran the 4x1 in highschool. We never worked on passing the baton. There really wasn't time in the season to do so. You have to figure, the coaches want to make sure all of their sprinters are training and peaking at the right times. IF they pass the baton decent enough to win meets or place, then 90% of the work is already done.
Yea alot of them are.
DippnDonuts well based on the fact he noticed he most likely can lmao
Or she
That second heat third leg, holy shit
Man this brings back memories...
But these handoffs were disgusting 😂😂🤮
At least i caught up
11:29 "OMG this tight"
11:32: *ahh shit, here we go again*
Wtf are these people doing with their hand
offs?
The blue starter of heat 3 seemed to have had a false start
I saw that too.
YASSSS
our school hit 41.2😳
6 heats??!!! Just for a relay, that's almost like 48 people, even though I'm a freshman, I still have lots to learn
You'll see way more, worse and better over your years my friend.
AC!!!!
Isaiah Darden- hey you put 43.65 4×100m for Aliso Niguel I know we're not that slow😂😂
Idk aliso sucks
Adam Hokoki haha ya especially this triple jumper from Aliso Niguel
Isaiah et'o and their 4x4
lane 7 at 1:01 pushed off with the wrong leg
Golden Butt cheeks the fact that you noticed that is impeccable
I just noticed that
Teenagers are hard group to work with in that regards. You can tell them, hey you have to do this and this to improve their performance but some can't seem to grasp their heads around what you're telling them. I'm certain his coaches have told him about that but he figures he's "comfortable" like that and he doesn't need to make any changes.
These times ain’t got nothing on TEXAS🤘🏾
Fine Dude Texas runners are a different breed
Ok if ur in something that big please don't run like an injured gazelle
Austin McCue that’s exactly what I’m thinking they literally look like there feet are dragging the floor
Can we get an F in chat for the hand off to the last leg at 6:32
Payton Stills F

Smh they had a big gap too
Young tight bodies. How I wish I was that fit and built.
Most rolled heats ive ever seen 😭
X is dead
Fastest 400m could run as fast as these kids
Jacob De Fon I mean obviously, this is high school and the wr is Olympic
Terrible handoffs but good speed
D
Handoffs are horrible 😳.. bad coaching. Times are pretty slow too. Where’s 40.s. Not 42s
@hdrunners... these angles are distracting and suck.
baton exchanges were like watching 10 year olds and even i think they wouldve dont better xD
Their handoffs 👎🏾
