- The Mazama Campground at Crater Lake National Park is your closest campground to Crater Lake. Electrical hookups are available at some sites, and it is a tight fit for big rigs but doable. We went the third week of Sept 2020 with our 37’ Jayco Seneca.
Thanks for making this video. You have a very pleasant voice to listen to, and very informative. Going here this summer, hopefully.
Enjoy! Crater Lake is unbelievably beautiful. It will definitely impress.
Very great Video lots of good information, really appreciate all of the recommendations ,you talked a little about dispersed camping in the area ? How close is that to the park ?
There’s a bunch off highway 62 north of the town of Prospect. Probably 1/2 hr or so from the park. I use the Allstays app and can see the campgrounds. Campendium might be more helpful. Our biggest issue is finding spaces at those places that are large enough.
Hi., is there any wifi access to the camp ground?
No. In fact, I don’t think we could pull a cell signal within an hour or so of Crater Lake. I was trying to track wildfire information and road closures and I had to ask the rangers for help since I couldn’t get any signal.
I should add we have Verizon, Sprint and AT&T.
@@RVHomeschool was told there would be free wifi at camp grounds.., how about that
@@anushareddy9590 Maybe they’ve added internet and wifi. We didn’t have it last year but that would be a much needed improvement if they have it now.
