I've never hunted africa nor likely ever will get the chance to but I do enjoy seeing that they cherish the same values in the hunt I was raised to follow

Perfect example of what happens in hunting situations. You vow that you will not take a chest shot under any circumstances (or at an animal at a range you don't feel comfortable with), and then after hours of searching, you see what you want but its a chest shot and your will power breaks down. Fortunately, all turned out well here.

I've never hunted Africa either, but wonder or ask, at that dead-fall, a mag dump from an M-14 would not end a buffalo. That's 20 more or less in a one foot circle? That said I know one shot anywhere with a 50 BMG less than a mile makes a big big hole.
I like this one best of any I've seen, well done in all respects. Music was non-pervasive, that is key to watching and learning.

Jeff Rann appears to be an American(??). Rare for an African PH.🐃

He spent the first 19 years of his life in Afghanistan (before it was too dangerous ofc) and moved to Zambia where he got his apprenticeship license and spent a few years hunting there professionally.
Botswana became his main base of operation shortly after, and he would spend half of the year in Botswana and the other half in SA, where his family resided. He now lives in the US.

NOW lives in USA, like permanently? He is a cool PH who is passionate about this Safari hunting business !
The dagga boys and the other mean thingys like Jumbos, Mufassa etc must be missing him 😢
