@ 20:29 1st bull was bigger & older but what a spread on the 2nd and great hooks. If he had a better drop & bosses wow then I’d be disappointed but 1st was still a better choice & nicer trophy. Never seen these PH’s on TIA make a mistake like that. York, Dalton or whoever, they’re all unbelievable. Wish idve known about PH’s & was into Africa when I was a teenager and idve definitely moved there from the states to pursue that line of work. All the Buffalo I’ve ever seen killed in this program are exceptional, what a magnificent creature. You guys are truly blessed to make a living doing this. Awesome hunt thanks for sharing!
Ahh yes. The “miss”. I have my fair share of misses, heck I have missed point blank. Still not sure how on some of them, others due to mechanical failure i.e. stock broke or the scope randomly crapping out. Others were due to a small piece of brush that I didn’t see causing the bullet to deflect. Wounding an animal and not a clean quick kill tears me up. Any hunter that doesn’t feel something when they take an animal doesn’t need to be hunting. Bill, I take my hat off to you and to the team on doing everything to find your buffalo and finishing him off. Beautiful animal.

What caliber rifle? 375 H&H or 416 Rigby. 17:45 It's definitely a high-grade rifle. Maybe Wesley Richard's, Holland and Holland, Rigby. Anyone take a guess?
Would recommend to try a bigger magnification scope ? that Leopold 1.5 /5 good close range brush scope , but longer shots ? ? Try German Zeiss or Schmit //Bender, better clarity for aging eye sight , with thicker cross hairs too , and there 6x mag is like Leopold 8x ! i know ,same as you , i m ageing fast , done 14 safaris Bongo , LD Eland , etc etc . Also get a soft stretch Sling , to carry that heavy rifle , even PH had one on his rifle ! Pity that Fine Mauser .375 rifle got a Silver Skeleton butt Plate , must pinch on a .375 be ok on a smaller calibre ONLY ! A Silvers Orange rubber be more practical OR a Kick Easy ? Keep Hunting and enjoy ! Regards
