I love your scripts, they remind me of when my schizophrenic grandpa tried to tell me stories.
If im not mistaken Dagath is based upon the Celtic Dullahan. A headless horsewoman Faery that, from my knowledge, is essentially like a Grim Reaper. They carry their heads around with them by their side usually. One of the most popular Dullahans in modern fiction is Celty Sturluson from the anime/manga Durarara. Being a fusion of Sevagoth who already is a reaper himself, and Yareli who has a mount, is only natural when you understand the source of inspiration.
Normally this is where I'd put a nerd emoji but you mentioned peak fiction (DRRR!!) SO I'll let it pass.

Listing four examples from a very specific genre doesn't exactly dispute the notion that, traditionally, Dullahans are more often depicted as masculine. The most famous Dullahan of all is a male, after all.
I honestly forgot about Horse lady frame, pets have been all I have been caring about this update.
The update has made me into a Helios enjoyer. Dark times are ahead.
I have been using Vasca Kavat to have the revive from it to cover for my stupidity.

Thb, I really like how she looks. When she gets her quality of life post release update I might invest in to her. Atm her kit feels pretty clunky.
press 3 at the start, press 2 on a group, press 1 until doom stops spreading. pop 4 or other armour strip when needed, take your favourite crit weapons out for a spin with 300% crit damage.
I personally took a break when Duviri dropped (Brain just went "Not feeling Warframe right now") and I got back a couple weeks ago, in prep for Dante's release and to get familiar with the Grimoire. (Or, as mine is now known: "Doom Lore")
Being the wallet warrior I am, I dropped some plat on Dagath to master and have in my roster. Same as I have things like Banshee and Yareli.
But then I found out that Dagath is actually pretty fun to play for me, and she became one of my favorite frames in a short timespan.
And now my top 3 fav frames are, in no particular order: Hildryn, Protea, and Dagath.
...I'm sure all 3 being women doesn't have any deeper meaning.

yareli has infinitely more damage potential than dagath and sports actual cc carpeting and infinite rolling guard without cooldown. memeing on her gets kinda old and just makes you look edgy tbh.
Yereli is very good now
For me, the more damning thing is she highlights DE's habit of "two halves of a whole idiot" when it comes to ability design. If her 1 wasn't functionally useless without her 2, she would feel a lot better.

@@TheTundraTerror yea thats not right at all. the only synergy between 1 and 2 is the slightly faster cast (still very fast on foot with cast speed shards) and activating her augment. It's still huge cc and %dmg vulnerability on foot.

@@samakiraroyjanssen6326 I'd argue it's definitely the nukeframes, CC is dead and not useful specifically because there is no point in running CC over insta-gibbing the map.

@@Halosrighthand Cc being dead isn't because of nuke frames existing, it's because increasingly more enemies are resistant or outright immune to cc and there's increasingly few grinds where cc assists your ease of progress and basically none where it accelerates it. Nuke frames working and cc frames not working is only tangentially related, they don't affect each other's viability, their viability is predetermined by the content you can bring them to.

Dagath is an interesting kit held back by the combining of her armor strip and DPS into one ability that requires two other abilities to function as either armor strip or DPS. If the armor strip was moved to another ability then she would feel much better to play, but as it is with her 4, which is the clunkiest-feeling in her kit, being both the armor strip and DPS the need to constantly spam both it and her 1 and 2 feels forced. DE has forgotten that synergy means good things working together to do something great, not useless things that only become good when used together.

As a Limbo main, We finally have a Horse girl Warframe. Can't wait for the memes and you already know what "Art" is going to be made for Dagath. But fun looking frame that I have not gotten yet.

I love how almost every frame is like 150% effort to get the most out of them, and then there's Rev, who you just press Mesmer Skin and left click everything else
I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt like I was playing diet Sevagoth.
It doesn't help that sevagoth only feels strong in survival. 💀, the rest of his kit just doesn't feel optimal for other game modes especially if there more fast paced I'd say

Doom being necessary to strip armor thru her 4 is kind of like how enemies need to be in Hallowed Ground to be armor stripped by Oberon's 4.

I wanted Celty the Dullahan but in Warframe.
I got a Horse Girl summoner who requires 3 boring abilities to make using her 1 cool ability good. Oh and it would be easier to just use Roar + Glaive Prime…
Not even that. The only horse thing here is her ult. And it's about summoning horses that run away and disappear. The only innovative thing about her is I can try shooting bullets through a teammate Dagath's head.
It'd have been better to have her ride her own Kaithe and weild an exalted two-handed scythe idk give me something more unique. Making a frame viable for high level should be the after-thought, not the primary design motivator.
@@SenseofNoneYT To be fair, what you just described is just Yarelli + Excal and neither of those frames are good enough to warrant people use them as frequently as the much easier to play and more effective frames. Heck, some people really really hate having to fire Maraleena on Yarelli
@@James-kv3ll True. But I mean, I kinda just spat that out off the top of my head. In contrast, they had a lot of time to design this frame. And I don't blame players for not liking Yareli's Merulina. Even I don't. A K-drive is one of the worst things to maneuver in WF.
It's like you said- there's already stronger and easier frames to use. It doesn't bring anything new to the table imho. Besides... "Yareli + Excal but better" already sounds like a more interesting frame to me. Just my opinion.
Like even on a quick second thought:
You can have the Kaithe run around applying debuff when the ability is tapped but on hold, you can ride it to have the AoE debuff right on you as long as you want. Don't even give it health. Just make it a ghost Kaithe. And maybe the exalted Scythe when used on the Kaithe has the power to sweep a room each attack with strong slash damage like a lovechild between Excal's and Baruuk's exalted.
Bottom-line: Even if an ability is similar to another frame's ability, you can make the overall kit still feel unique.
Damn almost made want to think about playing again.

But the increasing pumping of Edgelord frames is just through the roof pumping of product
in the last five is citrine (gems and romance) and styanax (spartan), and if you include the sixth its gyre (ballerina) and seventh is caliban (sentient).

4 Frames over the past year or so and they're all crit frames.
Voruna has a nice crit buff but she's definitely more focused on her status spreading
Yeah, just the same as Citrine is all about spreading status, or Dagath is all about spreading viral.
voruna is status spread, citrine is status support, kullervo is raw dmg spread, dagath is dot dmg spread.
not to mention voruna’s survivability niche is invis hit-and-run, citrine’s is armor buffing, kullervo’s overguard, and dagaths being wukong/inaros-type undeath.

I’m glad she’s strong but I just didn’t feel like she’s a cursed rider. We could have had a little be of horse riding like Guan Yu’s ult in Smite or… something that made her feel like a horse-riding, faceless lost soul.
Counterpoint tho, she lost her face which could mean she lost her unique identity and the void filled in for her, resulting in Yaraligoth.

Not really sure why Dagath can't ride a Kaith into battle like Yareli can ride a K-Drive.
I hate this too. K-Drive has its frame, archwings sorta has its frame in Titania. Considering the fact that DE usually sticks to “One theme = one frame”, doubt we’ll see an actual Kaith frame
Dagath should be able to ride a kaithe, and to round out the "shitty vehice" quartet, I want a necramech themed frame in the future that gets its own exalted necramech.

"Nuke" frames are the reason I uninstalled the game less than a week after reinstalling it. I enjoy the new content but I can't even play some frames like Harrow because almost every popular warframe has some ability that kills everything in a 5 mile radius before I can even zero-in for a headshot.
update: I embraced the shitframe grindset and now have Mesa Prime.
