I'm Brazilian and I can say how stereotypical this film is lol but I don't get angry I like the film it's very funny
Fun fact, Macaws (and some other parrots) can live so long that most people who have one have to put it in their will and make sure there's someone who can care for it if they die as some of these birds can outlive their owners. They can live up to 70 years, smaller species of parrots can live up to 50 or 30 years. Some cockatoos have lived to 100.
I mean people shouldnt even making parrots and macaws as pets to "take care" of them in the first place...
@@otohime8516 well I wasn’t doing commentary on the morality of exotic pet ownership but parrots and macaws being sold as pets is not really the fault of the average pet owner. Blame smugglers and corporate greed.
And a lot of these, once here, are bred in captivity so what’re they gonna do. They can’t be released. 🫤
God forbid someone gives them a good loving home with people who care for them like family instead of being left for dead.
Sadly the last of the Blue Spix Macaw in the wild died, soon after this film. The only ones left in the world are domestic and in zoos.
actually, a couple of months ago they managed to reintroduce in the wild a couple of Spix Macaws grew in captivity. It's a new hope for the species. This movie's prophecy is fulfilled
Not true. They are pretty much alive but most in breeding grounds and are slowly being reintroduced in nature. The first ones were released in 2022.

The ones that are being released back into the wild are technically considered by the scientific community as "feral." Only their off spring will be considered "wild". I have nothing to "own up to." I suggest you grow up and get off your soap box. The world does not owe you and your high-horse attitude anything. I laugh in your general direction.
The music in this movie is on point, and despite the heavy stereotypes (which are mostly harmless in this case), many Brazilians like myself actually really enjoy Rio!

my father actually works with hang gliding (I’m from Rio) I’ve been going in it since I was a child you can actually control it and it goes down very smoothly 😂😂 if you ever come to Rio gather some courage to try it

Not from Super BAd. Many people gte them mixed up by face and voice. Super Bad guy is Michael Cera, If you would have guessed Zombie Land, (Jesse Eisenburg) you would be correct. Very common mix up.
