    Glad I live in a country where we don’t need to worry about power drops...
    Can't remember the last time we had a gig were a fuse was blown or a generator stopped working.
    Most recent "power issue" that I remember is over 20 years ago where a power cable was undersized (6mm2 that should have been 10mm2).
    Voltage was low but show had to go on. So agreements were made who would pay for damages due to low voltage and we took off. Hit lows of 195V with heavy bass but were usually around 200-205V which was in specified allowed deviation of the voltage range of the equipment. No failures happened.
    Year after we were asked back but they eventually decided to go for another company when we reminded them of the power issue and that we won't do the production when we get at the location and found the same undersized cabling.

      There's always some questionable power at every event we do. A few years ago, we had to shut down our large sound system at a multi-band outdoor festival due to an issue with the provided generator. Downtime was about 15 minutes.
      Most of the issues we encounter are brown-outs and power surges; both of which can greatly impact computer equipment (i.e. digital consoles/networking).

      @stageleftaudio For al the greatness the USA is (or can be), you guys have shitty power.
      Is it not the 115 Volt, it is the insane amount of plugs with their brass contacts, questionable cable types and so on. To keep my response very short and limited. 😉

      I agree with you! There's a lot of different power available here and different ways of connecting to it. It can be a task managing power issues! Thanks for the comment.

      @FOHGeek Nobody is arguing with you on that. I think we are all in agreement on that.

    Excellent your NSB 16.8. Enjoy this summer and send us your video with this rack in action! 👍

    I wish PreSonus offered a replacement touchscreen that actually works reliably. I also wish they gave us a way to plug in hdmi/displayport screens.

      I had a presonus desk and gave me endless grief so sold it and got a midas m32

    • @stageleftaudio
      @stageleftaudio  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Thanks for your comment. Actually, I find the Presonus touchscreen to be very good. For me, the sometimes un-responsiveness of the screen has to do with the protective film covering the screen. This is the same protective film Presonus ships with new consoles. Most all people will remove the protective screen. I keep the protective film on the screen to provide some protection from liquids, or the sometimes ink-pen drops. With the protective film removed, the screen is more responsive; though, I keep the film on it.
      For external screens, I agree...

      @@chrisclose7793+1 for m32. One of the few consoles that can be fully controlled without a touchscreen

    How many rack spaces to the Stage box take up. Also what gauge are your cables. They are thick

    • @stageleftaudio
      @stageleftaudio  Před 2 měsíci +1

      The 16.8 uses a 4U space. The Ethercon cables are Cat-6a; the cable structure is considered "tactical", which makes them thick. The tactical style of the cable is due to the jacketing; these are very robust compared to non-tactical cable.

    I am planning to by 2 stage boxes and 3 Earmix systems. Do I have to get a avb network switch or can I just daisy chain everything

    • @stageleftaudio
      @stageleftaudio  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Everything can be daisy-chained, however, the "hops" (more is not good) in the network, will result in more latency of the signal, which can be a bad thing if running IE monitors. Connecting the Earmix systems to the switch will greatly reduce latency and may even simplify the setup.

    Do you know if they make an External Power for the M32 Mixer ?

    • @stageleftaudio
      @stageleftaudio  Před 2 měsíci +1

      I have no idea, however, you should be able tell if the M32 does support an external supply. On the back of the M32, there should be a multi-pin connector; if there is no connector, it does not support an external supply.

    Hello!
    I have a 32sc 4 2x12 subwoofers, two 2x12 tops, two active speakers, a db mark crossover and 4 passive amplifiers, apart from the MAIN OUT where I can connect the amplifiers to have separate control both on the subwoofer amplifier and for the tops, plus I want to have control over the active ones as well, and how do I make the settings to have separate channels where I can make individual corrections???

      Maybe you should read the manual first and follow a decent course in audio engineering after that before you start annoying people on CZcams?

      It's not for nothing that so many tutorials are made here on CZcams out of the desire to help people.

      The NSB 16.8 has 8 XLR outputs, however, setting up a full digital solution can be problematic if you do not have any experience with full-digital networking solutions. See my response to your previous comment.

    Can you use it with your bigger consol and the bigger stage box so you can have two stage box?

    • @stageleftaudio

      The 16.8 can be used with the 32.16, however, with my larger consoles, I'm still restricted to 32 inputs. The 16.8 could be used for inputs 1-16 and the 32.16 could be used for inputs 17-32.
