About Spider-Man Movie:
After incorporating elements of comic book style and design into many of his films, director Sam Raimi helms this straight-ahead, big-budget comic book adaptation, which also marks acclaimed young actor Tobey Maguire's first dip into live-action blockbuster filmmaking. Spider-Man follows the template of the original Stan Lee/Steve Ditko source material, with hero Peter Parker an orphaned, intellectual teen loner living in Queens with his aunt (Rosemary Harris) and uncle (Cliff Robertson), and dreaming of the girl next door, Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst). On a field trip to a Columbia University lab, Peter is bitten by a genetically altered spider and overnight he gains superhuman strength, agility, and perception. At first, Peter uses his powers for material gain, winning a wrestling match with a purportedly lucrative prize. But when Peter apathetically fails to stop a burglar from robbing the wrestling arena, a tragedy follows that compels him to devote his powers to fighting crime -- as the superhero Spider-Man. Man all those voice lines give me chills and a feeling of awesomeness.
Green Goblin is such an amazing villian, it's no wonder they chose him for the very first Spider-Man movie. He is just the perfect villian. He is evil, a real master-mind and the real match for Spider-Man. Willem Dafoe is also perfect for this role, he did his acting perfectly. It feels like the guy was born to play a villian!

I actually like this Goblin costume because it makes more sense for the head of OsCorp to use military style armor instead of spandex. But they definitely should have found a mask that allowed Dafoe to show his facial expressions.

Well, in the comics he doesn't need that military armor. The armor would only restrict his movement and make if difficult to attack and defend. The goblin formula gives him high endurance and healing factor. Goblin does wear a bullet proof chain mail suit which can be mistaken for scales on a spandex suit. But Goblin is every bit a durable as Spider-Man, who has no protection except a spandex suit and see how much he can endure. So really Goblin doesn't need military armor. Although, the thing that bugged me the most was him not having his purple tunic, boots and gloves that discharge 10,000 volts. Plus giving Goblin a flesh mask would have made his suit better.
And made him not look like a Power Rangers villain...or be naked...or have a Walmart mask...

Some people criticize the CGI in this movie, and while they may have a point, it was good for it's time. Plus, the outdated Goblin CGI kind of adds some sort of charm to it in my opinion. It kind of fits with his campy, perfectly goofy nature. Maybe it's just me.
