Purchased the Fern Executive model without the lumbar support and have had it since mid-Feb of 2022. Use it at my home office and love it more than the one I use at my company's office which is the HM Aeron. I do miss the mesh seat for cooling properties but the back is so much more to my liking because it has no hard plasic edges on the seat and the back.

@@btodtv Yes, I had visited a Haworth store in my area (Houston, TX) last December and sat on all their chairs for about 2 hours and knew my back didn't need the extra support with the lumbar. I tried the regular Fern with the stock fabric and armrests and the Executive model just felt sooooo luxurious to me. Also it came with the headrest which I wanted. I just knew that if I was going to spend over $1K on a ergo chair that I wanted something that I would enjoy for many years. Also, the regular armrest on the stock felt too "sticky" compared to the executive version which has a smoother texture. Love my Fern so much than when I come home to it even after all day at my work sitting on the Herman Miller Aeron that I can relax and play PC games and watch ESPN on and recline to its full position and crack open a Yuengling :)

@@btodtv Since owning it maybe about 4 hours Monday - Friday (evenings) and a bit more on the weekends. And it's just been a solid piece of engineering. Looks amazing and doesn't give off any gamer vibes but can accomplish many tasks from sitting close to my monitor or just relaxing as far back as I can. Not sure if it was mentioned in your video, but the adjustments of the knobs and levers on it are just excellent and so easy to use. I also wanted to support the family owned business in Michigan and wanted a fully-built office task chair. Also, thank you BTOD for helping me decide on a multitude of ergonomic chairs.

I got the zody based on the recommendation of this video and did not like it all. Build quality is great, but the seat is too firm, the chair forces you to lean back 10-15 degrees (no upright lock ). Ends up hurting my back a bunch. Ended up getting a Herman Miller embody. @@Yahfz yeah the chair always leans back 10-15 degs and another annoyance if you’re tall the seat only slides back and forward so it leaves a large unsupported area in the back…making it a pretty pointless adjustment. My other issue is haven’t heard back from Haworth about getting a refund. I’ve called twice in the last week.

Is it really pronounced Hayworth? I've always assumed it's just like it's spelled: Haw-worth! No clue, though

Yes i think so, but be aware that for the seat pan to fit you, you'll have to slide it all the way out and the gap between seat and backrest bothers some folks.

I checked my local haworth dealer for the cost of ordering a Fern headrest - they wanted $500+ CAD for one! Luckily I don't want one from all the advice of videos like this and not recommended for taller users in general.
