“Luckily, women take care of the issue early.
    Early treatment is essential”....:🙄
when 99.99% of health care providers don’t take you seriously and could care less about hair loss at its very early stage.
Try to seek help about hair loss when you show up at a doctor’s office with a head full of hair.
    Good luck.

When I was 20 I went to my Doctor. They didn't believe me and didn't even look at my scalp. I told him my hair looks thick but it used to be way thicker! I got him to look at my roots and he said "oh now I see"....he just did the thyroid and iron test. Told me it's all good and that was it....

I had good results with the 5 percent foam but stopped after abou a year and a half and now, after a few months being off it I'm loosing a ton of hair so I'm going to get back on it today! Best of luck ladies. Minoxidil is kind of a drag in a couple ways but I can testify that it worked great for both me and my seventy five year old mom. Cheers

Hello! I've been using 5% topical minoxidil for 2 years, all working really well, full head of hair, until 3 months ago when i started experiencing a lot of shedding, more than 500 strands a day, in the shower even more than that. Although that happened, i never stopped using it. I have to mention, my hair is long, and i noticed 1-2 inches long strands falling(from the root , with bulb). May I ask why can this happen? Thanks, your subscriber from the very first episodes!

I tried 5% Minoxidil but started to feel lightheaded and signs of vertigo. So had to give it up after 2 months. I am now on 5% oral fanistride. I’ve had very good results in 4 months ..
however listening to the videos about fanistride I’m worried about long term side effects of the tablets although I don’t feel any yet.

At age 67, have short hair with diffuse hair loss. For at least a year, I have used the men's 5% foam once a day or once every two days. I spread it in my hands and rub it all over my scalp. Of course, I don't see any hair growth; however, the hair loss has been greatly reduced. My understanding is that you have to use it forever since your hair will revert to its usual amount of loss if you stop.

Since I began using litttllextraa cocoonniion shampoo and hair conditioner, there's been a good reduction in hair fall. My hair feels softer and looks shinier. I used Littlellextra Cocoonnion oil, and it’s really effective. It contains high levels of sulfur and potassium, which boosts scalp blood flow, resulting in hair growth and hair fall control. One of the key ingredients is onion and coconut oil, which help boost new hair growth.

Very good point using the term “ systemic”. What i think you should have warned people is that, using a systemic/ an oral version of minoxidil means that is will be metabolized in the liver, so that is a risk that people should be aware of. On the 2% I don't at all have that problem, which is not surprising because in the US for the solution version the women's is 2%. Is it still helpful? I was diagnosed with iron deficiency, by the way, ferratin being 12 and have been supplementing that for several months. I am shedding A LOT on minoxidil. Maybe 1000 and over on wash days, and 500 on non-wash days. Currently in the shedding phase (week 5). My hair is already super thin so losing this much hair is alarming. Would you say this is normal or is this a bad reaction (if there is such?) I'm not over exaggerating as I have suffered with chronic TE for years and know what shedding is like.

Jengira Begue Hang in there, dear! I lost hair exactly as you did( 1000 per wash, at least!) in the shedding phase that, for me, lasted 3 months! But i didn’t give up, and a have regrowth and now i only lose 10-20 hairs a day, and not more than 50 per wash!

That's great news - it means the minoxidil is working!!! When you first start, minoxidil "reboots" your growth cycle. The first 3 months are very difficult, but stay with it... you will start to see regrowth at around 6 months. Maximum regrowth is achieved at about 12 months. Congrats on the fact you are responding - it means your results will be good!!

PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTION: DOES MINOXIDIL CAUSE WRINKLES AND AGES YOU??
im 21 years old and started regaine foam due to female pttern hair loss. But i have puffy eyes in the morning, then through more research i found that alot of people reported minoxidle causes wrinkles, dark circles and ages you.

I actually have never heard that and have done so much research on hair loss. I'm not at all a doctor or expert, though. For me the problem is that when I used the 5% I had a dramatic increase in body and facial hair, I switched to the 2% (twice a day) and that problem is totally gone.

10% minoxidil is excessive and doesn't contribute extra benefit. The curve flattens at around 5%. Beyond that, you're just using more drug.
      From Dr. Russell Knudsen's blog
      knudsen.com.au/hair-loss-treatment-with-generics/
"there is NO evidence that any strength of minoxidil greater than 5% adds to effectiveness."

    Minoxedin is not a solution.
I have tried it. Well, after applying it, I felt hade ache. And that's after every applying. Also it could affect on heart badly.
And the worth thing, if you stop using it, all hair will fall. All.
