Beginning to think these guys could honestly help me more than my gynocologist. Honestly I tell that guy anything and he's always like "I haven't heard of that" or "it's not a concern". Obviously it is a concern because I'm telling you about it and I am CONCERNED about it because no one else who is normal is like this 🙄
Skinny PCOS is annoying because no one understands wtf is happening to you they're all just like 🤷

@@memoonasaeed4408 I went to see them (yes one of the docs in the video) and they didn't help, in my opinion. They gave me Isotretinoin which didn't address my hormonal issues and I ultimately stopped taking because I'm frankly scared of that drug. I ended up asking my gynecologist point blank for Spironolactone and surprisingly he simply gave it. It did slightly revive the baby hairs in my widows peaks, and clear my skin, but I was hemorrhaging so badly on my period due to fibroid, and every time I took Spiro it got worse so I knew I had to stop. It was hard because Spiro had also completely cured my migraine and brain fog. Now I've had fibroid removed and kyleena inserted, I really want to go back on Spiro but my new gyno won't let me. I'm going to fight it, I miss everything about that drug.

I have PCOS too! My period disappeared for months so I went to a gyno and the NP told me to eat healthy (which I already do) and exercise. Well my period was gone for 6 months so I made another appointment and demanded bloodwork and ultrasound because my sister's friend has PCOS and has the exact same symptoms. So they put me on birth control and I started to see an endocrinologist but my symptoms weren't improving much. I started seeing a new primary who switched me to a new birth control because apparently they had me on one of the worst ones for PCOS and I asked for a referral to see a dermatologist for acne and hair loss. I've been on 50mg of Spironolactone and it's been helping along with the pill. It's a shame, but we really have to be our own health advocates.

Wow, I used to have severe facial acne (cystic acne) for nearly 2 decades. Interestingly my skin was perfect as a teenager. The cystic acne only started at age 21. I finally have that under control, but now I have hirsuitism with facial hair. However all (and I really mean all) of my blood tests come back normal. Just in case this help someone I did experience some major hair-loss back in 2018. I was using Diane 35 to treat mild PCOS and the side effects when I left the pill were awful and decided to get implanon after 6 months (the hair loss might be just because the pill hormones were keeping my hair together and masking the real problem).
the implanon seems to slow down the hair loss process (thanks hormones) but it was a mess. I could notice the heavy difference. So I got spironolactone as part of the treatment by a dermatologist and it had helped a lot! specially in the hair partition. Now feel I'm more recovered but still have some almost bald spots on the sides, Minoxidil seems too aggresive to me so I'm really looking forward PRP.
I'm about to take anual hormone blood exams and will reach a particular dermatologist (the regular health care doesn't cover this) and hopefully get the extra boost I need

Are there "Hair Helpful" hormone pills that are not contraindicated in women who experience migraines with aura? I am not asking about Spironolactone, the diuretic, I have naturally low blood pressure, so Spironolactone would probably not be an option. Women who experience migraines with aura are at a higher risk of stroke when they take estrogen containing contraceptives. They are often put on progesterone only pills instead, but you said that progesterone is more similar to testosterone making it a "Hair Harmful" pill. I am NOT looking for contraception, just a "Hair Helpful" pill.

My hair thickness was very less as if i compare it to previous year due to hair smoothing. To get back my hair I started using Cocoonion anti hair fall kit by littleeextra and it proved effective in increasing hair thickness and hair growth. I would advise if you use it then always cleanse your hair by diluting shampoo with a little water before using as it works much better in that way. When you apply oil then warm it a little and then apply. Apply it a minimum of once a week. Use wooden neem comb while brushing your hair and use silicon scalp massager while hair cleansing to get remove pollution and dirt etc and it gives even better result.

Been taking 150mgs of spironolactone for 6 months now has greatly reduced facial hair growth. I was shaving my face every second day and plucking 2 to 3 hours a day this has gone down to once a week both shaving and plucking I'm worried about my hair it is very thin in the front. My Dr says it takes about a year to see the full effect so fingers crossed in another 6 months I can stop wearing bandanas and scarfs. Bloody great drug can't recommend it higher, not gained weight it's actually doing its job. Gotta remember though it works for some and not for others like every other drug but its so worth a try.

Hi guys, nah no weight gain but I have my eating under control and work out everyday so I have not felt any hungrier or any loss of energy. I'm still plucking under my chin and upper lip though but it's not as bad. I used to shave my arms and legs as they got as hairy as eyebrows but not anymore I'm lucky if I shave them once a month. Body hair has reduced dramatically, I honestly can't believe it. My receding hair line and I'm talking from the tip of my ears straight across to the other side is starting to thicken up. I had 2 bald patches about 2inchs round that had zero hair growing, are now filling in. I'm all most tears everytime I look at myself in the mirror because I'm so grateful that this medication is working. Holy shit and also my giant pores on my face I had are slowly closing up. So this drug has stabled my blood pressure, grown my hair back, reduced my facial and body hair, and is clearing up my skin. It's probably doing heaps of other things too, it is seriously changing my life.
