    That Check engine light may indicate that the overfill of the fuel tank has forced liquid fuel down into the charcoal fume canister in the PCV system...
    flooding the charcoal canister and, as you say, showing up as per the sensor as far too much fuel in the air intake stream....

    My man I'm SOOOO happy you talked about the fuel pump issue. I was wondering if its only me. I have the 2012 version and EXACTLY the same issue...doesnt happen often but now and then. Not an issue just annoying but if you either let it cool or know how to play with the throttle lever while cranking then it fires up. I will follow your advice and keep the tank more full...never thought of that idea so thank you.

      Now let me give you the feedback AFTER changing the original fuel pump, as mentioned after 7000 Km I've replace it also with a new OEM one. Now I have 26,000 Km and absolutely no problems, I also over-fueled several times no check engine errors, nothing. It runs perfect. I was wondering perhaps it was a factory default for the first one...who knows. Now the temperatures are maximum 24 celsius, for sure in the summer I will kepp it mostly fueld at max over 30 - 35C.

    Fuel pump is cooled by the gasoline, so if that happens a lot, I call it bad fuel tank design, the fuel pump has to be alway under fuel or completely filled even if you are on reserve, does not matter if it is a car or a motorcycle, offcourse if you let it run completely out of fuel that is the owner's fault. Maybe just a case of small adjustment on the tank design.

    Thanks for the lengthy video, Here are MY findings. 2021 version in red with 4500 miles.
    (1) I always overfill the fuel to the brim, the engine management light goes out immediately.
    (2) No fuel issues with the pump left on empty or flashing on reserve, No difficult starting like you demonstrated in all temperatures (-1 to +35c)
    (3) Only issue was replacing front brake lever as I dropped it. The dealership did the work and snapped the lugs on the front cover when taking it off. They wouldn't replace it and now it vibrates on rough roads.
    (4) Tyres are very good and are lasting a long time.
    (5) Under the seat storage isn't big enough for a full face helmet. I am large size.
    (6) Maximum speed is 60-65mph on the clock and it drinks the fuel. 40-50mph and it is very economical.
    Other than that, I love it, great for traffic queues, as fast as I need, very nippy. 🙂

    Great video !
    I’m a thinking to change my 2011 sh 300i for the vision because I am planning to get in the delivery business .
    What is the price as new in your country ?
    The problems in my opinion in this motorcycle are :
    Small rear shock especially for 2 persons , no usb charge , I think that the little storage under the steering stay open when you lock the bike , small diameter (in width ) tyres .
    I agree with you for the uncomfortable seat , you can put an aftermarket gel above your stock seat if you want and It is pain in the ass those plastics to remove if something happen !!!
    4 year guaranty is a good deal !!!
    For daily use and as a “work partner” is good choice ,also for a female driver because it is a very light bike !

    The Vision's large wheels/tires were one of the attractions for me. I also find myself sitting back in the comfort zone as you described. The only time my 2020 Vision failed to start was when I didn't let the fuel pump stop before trying to start. It fired but then quit and I had to retry a few times before it started successfully. I now wait for the fuel pump to stop and no problems since. The Vision 110 is a perfect basic run around bike for me, twist and go, handles and rides like a motorcycle with the larger tires, economical to purchase and ride, good power for a small displacement bike and great fun!

    I agree about removal of front panels around handlebars and headlight being a pain (even worse if , like me, you have fitted a screen). Engine access however I find is really good.
    Running costs are amazing. Earlier this year I rode mine from the UK to Slovenia and back and averaged over 140 mpg. No problems ever with the fuel pump even though I nearly ran it completely out of fuel once. Mine is a 2019 model so maybe has a different pump.

    Thanks for your honest review. I have the same model since june this year. I have done 2500km on it and the scooter is perfect for use in town. Removing the plastics is always a pain on almost all scooters, but it is much easier on this scooter than for example a Honda PCX that I owned before. For regular maintenance like spark plug change and valve clearance adjustment you only have to remove the center black cover and the battery cover next to it. It takes some time to figure out how to do it correctly, the next time you do it will be a routine job. In my opinion, DIY maintenance is doable on this scooter if you have patience. Hope to learn more from your exprerience with the scooter, especially as you use it intensively for delivering.

    • @IdealBike
      @IdealBike  Před rokem +2

      Thank you for sharing, indeed with patience you can make the maintenance yourself, but still those plastic clips are so fragile, they need a lot of care, you need to figure it out from the start... I prefer to take it to the dealer for regular maintenance due to the warranty considerations. Honda gives 4 year warranty and 200,000 Km.

    • @Ali-nl2du
      @Ali-nl2du Před rokem +1

      @@IdealBike Yes, if you want to maintain the warranty you have to take the scooter to a Honda dealer for maintenance. It is a wise decision. The charges you mentioned are reasonable, here in Holland they charge around 150 euros per hour, parts not included! Keep us posted bro.

    When the weather is very hot,some bikes and some cars will stop because the fuel in the pipe turns into gas.It evaporates.If this happens before or after the fuel pump it may not pump.The pump needs to be re charged with fuel.Like you said,if you let the engine cool down the gas will turn back to liquid and it will go again.

Here in Portugal the price for the dealership service is the same(only had the 1st done) , but my fuel average, in the same conditions except pillion, have been consistently under 2l/100km. Just going steep uphill climbs the scooter let down and even become unsecure because the bus are always trying to overtake. Yes sure. Just to lock / unlock the steering you need to press the start button. There is a faster way just to leave the bike directly on the side stand not pressing anything, go away and turn directly the ignition, somehow like a start and stop

      Hello, here in Romania you have 4 years. Actually it's also 2+2 but with no additional costs. There is a hidden cost due to the fact that you have to go only to the Honda dealer for revisions and the maintenance prices are quite high.

    Can we go on highway on this bike?

      I've used it on the express road, and you can easily cruise it at 80 Km/h. The Ideal cruising speed it's 70 Km/h for an efficient fuel consumption (about 1,9%). If you exceed this speed expect a 2,6 - 2,7 therefore you need to refuel faster

      Hello Sir, just watched your very informative video thank you so much for sharing. Thankfully mine was changed on warranty base after 7 months. I was riding indeed until the reserve was blinking on hot summer days (over 35 celsius temperature). The pump started to stop working once, than after few days haven't started. I waited to chill out than started and went for the warranty change, here in Romania and Europe we have 4 year warranty at Honda Dealer. After the fuel pump was changed (August 2022) I never ride my bike with less than half of fuel tank on hot summer days. In winter, spring and autumn no problem, but when temperatures are over 25 C I consider seriously to have at least half fuel tank. Greetings

      I don't see a major problem in that as long as the traffic it's blocked. What you expect to stay in line with the trucks? Makes no sense! How do you ride?

    The fuel pump is cooled by the gas. Many cars work like this.
