- Shwetabh recently received a problem by a person who is very stressed and fearful about joining his college and having to face ragging. Shwetabh explains to him why he doesn't need to back down and take it, that he should approach the college's authorities. Shwetabh also explains how stupid the concept and ritual of ragging is. The point of attending a university or college is to get education, not stupid stuff like this.

Ragging is a crime no doubt, but it really shocks me when some people actually justify ragging. There's a teacher in my college who says that ragging should be compulsory. And there are many more people like him.
In my collage Ragging was a big issue First year was scary as hell , when we became senior We decided to end that methodology , we ourself prohibited all those thing causing such issues and now our collage is much better place, glad I took the first step

I have faced ragging. One of my seniors told me to shut up because she was in my room. I don't know why they like to insult someone because they came one year after you. I hate this principle of ragging to build friendship and to make juniors comfortable. Shwetabh Sir I have so much respect for you for speaking on this topic.

The people who rag others are the ones who are mentally weak and insecure. Bullies think they look cool, superior or if it's funny but they're just jealous of you because they cannot be you. Ragging shouldn't be done in the 1st place whether it's mild, or major. I hope people just stay peacefully and in unity be it at school, college or their workplace.
