I cannot believe that 343 Industries has screwed itself up into oblivion so badly that it took the 6 Years to release a TENTH of a Halo Game. The team over at MCC, which I'm lovingly calling 2401 Studios has added more content in one Update than Infinite's ENTIRE "Live Service". Screw you 343.

Making a new studio or replacing people probably won't help. They have no legacy with Halo and it seems nobody understands how to make Halo. Plus it's more than 343, it's Microsoft game studios management also forcing things like f2p or contractors. Bungie fought Microsoft on control over their IP and freedom to do things their way, it's part of why they left. A new studio and staff will just get pushed around because they have no reputation or clout like Bungie did as the creator of Halo.
It'd be pretty sad for Microsoft if they had to close a studio they made just to handle Halo because they're not capable.

Which other developer can you trust? If they make a new one from scratch it will be in the same place it is now.. Honestly I think all the leadership should go and Bonnie Ross should be the first to resign. It should be lead by Joseph Staten. He needs to bring back some of the core developers essentially making it Bungie 2.0. 343i nailed the art style and game play and gave them a good foundation to work with but it doesn't mean anything if Bonnie Ross is in charge and the culture stays the way it is. The company needs a refresh in order for halo to be successful.

And instead we get BARELY 2 seasons of content, no new maps, no new weapons (yet), forge isn't until the beginning of next YEAR, with the co-op now OFFICALLY ONLINE ONLY.

This is false. Microsoft originally wanted Halo Infinite to launch at the same time as the Xbox Series X in 2020, but they gave 343 another year, and this is after already giving them 5 years. Even before that, Halo 6 was supposed to come out in 2018, but 343 restarted developers, yet Microsoft gave 343 an extra 2 years so they wouldn’t be forced to pull a Halo 2, which had a notoriously fucked development cycle. Then they actually did an audit and realized the game was nowhere near what the audience wanted. That was when Staten was brought in. Before that the director position had already changed hands two or three times. It is difficult for me to imagine how Microsoft didn't see the signs sooner. 343 had publicly stated that they had no respect for the identity of Halo as a franchise and seemed dead set on bringing in people who didn't like or play Bungie Halo. Why? Why not just make a new IP instead? Why are so many people in the AAA industry obsessed with the idea of subverting established IPs?

First off, Bonnie Ross. I honestly think she doesn't understand the Halo franchise.
Second, Microsofts hands-off aproach isn't working, and 343i is evidence of that, all I can say is, they better figure it out before the Activision Blizzard acquisition goes thru or else we'll see a repeat of this shit show.
Third, its identity problem. Halo isn't COD, HALO isn't Fortnite, it isn't Destiny and it isn't F2P. Halo isn't entirely open world but a corridor shooter at its heart. Halo is Halo, and it shouldn't try to be anything else. Halo is the Master Chief, Halo is Cortana, Halo is the campaign, Halo is Co-op, Halo is that college room Lan party of the Old days.
If I'm not mistaken, Halo Infinite had multiple direction changes over the course of its six year development. Changing 343 for an entire new developer would be a catastrophe. What 343 should do is get rid of Bonnie Ross, Frank O Connor, and reshuffle upper management with Staten at the helm, bring Marty O'Donnell back for music and remake Halo. Forget Halo 5, Forget Infinite and maybe take the fight somewhere else. Halo tactics or missions or whatever, what does the MC do when not saving mankind? I dunno, just spitballing here.

I also grew up with Halo 3 and stopped after Reach when I switched to PS4, and honestly it was probably for the best since I missed out on 4 and 5 before coming back to the franchise on PC for MCC and finally infinite. I've never been a fan of microtransactions but can understand with Infinite being a free game. My biggest issue with the game has been the lack of optimization and of course the DESYNC. Every single person I know that plays this game has the same complains and 343 has turned a blind eye to the main issues to work on content that isn't enough to justify the 10 months since it's release. I always think back in 2010 where the base game was enough entertainment to spend hours on and actually have fun doing it. It's a shame that companies like this only really care for profit and not fans. I'll echo this until my tongue bleeds; you're spot on. I think this game (Infinite) is the saddest game I've ever played. What makes it so depressing to me, is that the bones of the game are great (when it works). I had a blast playing Multiplayer, and even delighted in the Last Spartan Standing game mode. But every single other thing surrounding this game is, to put it politely, elementary. The campaign was kneecapped in the months leading up to release, and MAJOR parts of not just the story but the map itself were deleted all to account for "Time saving tactics", the microtransactions and store in general is the most gaudy and greedy thing I've ever seen in gaming, and that's coming from a guy who bought Destiny legendary edition, only to have to buy the game AGAIN when the expansion came out. This studio has shown it's true colors, time and time again, and it's just so sad to see developers, who clearly love this game, being misused and downright disrespected by having their work thrown under the bus the way 343 has done. I don't think Infinite will ever come back from this hole they've dug themselves, all I can say is. I sure hope the shareholders at Microsoft are happy with their dividends, because they had to crucify Master Chief to do so.

I think that part of the problem with halo infinite is that 343 probably spent the 6 years trying to make their own game engine instead of using a pre-existing one and what they made was ultimately not as powerful as most pre-existing game engines. I assume then that 343 though that because they had spent so long on the engine, it was practically perfect, which it was not. So they pushed for releasing the game early without the proper amount of content which ultimately led to its downfall.
