    Got a short notice invite to the Fire service psychometric testing. These made up a portion of the questions. As I was short of time I decided that I needed to spend quite a bit of time on this over maths and English which I considered myself to be fairy naturally good at 😅 I scored well but actually scored best and above average in the abstract reasoning section.. 100% thanks to this video as before watching it I did tend to struggle without the structured plan of attach he gives you! If there are ever tests i needed to complete in the future, that Richard has available to buy for practice, I would be first in line. Thanks Richard!!
    Update - Found out today that I successfully passed the psychometric tests and I’m being advanced to the next stages of the recruitment process!

    2.) D, The square in the middle alternates from black to white, and the circle inside a square does too. The two triangles separated by the circle within a square rotate along the edges of the outer square (the square base) anticlockwise.
    4.) D, The dots position do not actually matter as they don't form a consistent pattern. The dots is you look at them diagonally form a pattern. The domino side at the top and the domino side at the bottom form a pattern. The domino side increase by one each time. Whereas the bottom side of the first domino and the top of the second will alternate between these two numbers, 3 and 1. In dominos the usual patterns are: diagonal, straight line pattern , or the sum of the dominos' dots. Maybe even and odd will occur sometimes.
    5.) C, The dominos this time go in a straight pattern. The top sides increases by one dot each time and the bottom sides decrease by one each time. The second pattern is that on the top side, The arrows alternate from black to white, the black arrows ALWAYS face left and the white arrows ALWAYS face right. The reverse happens for the bottom sides of the dominos.
    7.) C, The sides of the shape in the middle decrease by one each time , and the arrow on the top left corner switches colour in this pattern: black, red, green. The thin line the protrudes the shape in the middle and reaches the corner of the square rotates in a 90 degree angle, clockwise.
    9.) D, firstly, it's the only square with two different coloured smaller arrows. The external arrow and the internal arrow ( the one inside the big one) should be the same colour. The reason why it's not the other choices is because the internal arrow should face the opposite way the bigger arrow is facing. So where the white arrow and black arrow face is not certain. White doesn't always face down and black up.

      All u proved is that any moron can devise a test to sniff out a genius...as long as there's sufficient time to work it out. Unfortunately the average IQ test question is finished by the time this guy got to one third his first clear explanatory sentence, Intelligence isn't the truth but its the ability to get to it in the shortest amount of time appropriate for the particular problem, Also the amount of time is critical because thats also something that can be predicted from similar data.
      So in short, this crap can NOT be "taught" expect maybe in amerika where EVERYONE is waaaay abovve average

    Your questions seem very easy. On a scale of 1 to 10, I rate difficulty of your questions at 4 or 5. Maybe its hard to put harder questions in timed tests. Solving harder problems in a longer time period is better than solving lot of easy problems in a short time period. Just my thought about exams.

    • @stevendcunha1
      @stevendcunha1 Před 3 lety +6

      You are right about the ease of these questions, most of us can solve these easy ones. In any entrance exam there are about 50 questions out of which pass mark is 30, which is a lot especially when you are only given 20 mins. They get more and more complicated as they proceed and and gets more difficult. I've searched youtube for them but they all show you the easy ones. Maybe show a couple of hard ones so we can understand some bloody pattern, otherwise I'm stumped. Just my thought about these helpful videos.

First of all, x = 32. However, it can also be - 32, or even 10 etc ... The tasks you list also have an infinite number of solutions. I don't understand what they are good for? What kind of people should they raise? Definitely not mathematicians! They point only to the limited nature of their submitters. Please learn math. Nice information sir but I have doubt in q. No. 8

  • @Zezztah
    @Zezztah Před 7 měsíci

    I am having such a rough time trying to figure out Q4.
    I figured that atleast the top row, that 2,1 - 4,1 - 6,1 etc. Each adds up 2 dots. So I concluded that the answer must have 6 balls in the top row.
    But I just can't figure out what the correct bottom row is?
    I see, from reading comments that the answer is D. But I can't figure out how to come to that conclusion?
    Could anyone help me understand and explain how the thought process is so that I can learn?

    All black arrows point up.

    Grey arrow with the white arrow point up.
    Grey arrow with the black arrow point down.
    Or perhaps B, because the grey arrow cannot contain a black arrow?
