WHAT IS A SPATIAL REASONING TEST
A spatial reasoning test assesses your ability to look at, reorganise and manipulate two and three-dimensional shapes and objects.
More often than not, you have to visualize what an object will look like once it is rotated or constructed.

CareerVidz Hello! Thank you for all your videos; they all really helped. Could you also do one about bodylanguage during an interview ? I never know how much I should smile or be serious. It would be super helpful!
Thanks - yes I will do that for you soon :)

@@CareerVidz Q9:- correct answer is 2.
Im in the process of applying for an apprenticeship and these videos are great. Learned more in 2 hours of this than 12 years of public school. Great job Richard.. 10/10
Best of luck!

For Q8, net 1 can be used for prism 5 but net 4 cannot be used for that prism. The orange arrow in net 4 points to another quadrilateral face whereas the arrow in prism 5 points towards a triangular face. Net 4 cannot form prism 5.
Thanks Richard boss, I have an AU3 auditor job exam by mid month, and these are very helpful. You are the king of youtube.
Hello I recently had a figure visualization on an aptitude test that I failed for an apprenticeship position. I can retake the test in January. The types of questions where a flat 2d shape and it had dotted lines on some parts and solid on others. It was asking if they folded the shape into a 3d figure on the dotted lines what would the future look like?
Exactly the same for me. Would love to see that
It's really helpful like at first I thought it's just him making videos but you are really inspirational and from your videos I have started my own channel and am motivated to make great content everyday 😍
I have done the cat4 test, bud didn’t do too well on it, so now I’m here!
Hello Sir, is it possible if you could make a video on 'Eagle eye view' test questions please. It would be very much appreciated, thanks.
Thank you for explaining how this all works. I just wished you would have given the answer and explanation following each test question instead of at the end. It would make it much easier to understand. Much appreciated though.
He explained stuff? I feel he barely did that at all.
If I am assuming the shape for question 5 should stay the same then the answer should not be D but as the shape in A is unfinished then I'm left unsure. If I measure the shape on my computer screen it is 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 cm. The rotated shape in D is 4 x 2 1/2 cm.
The shape in D is half a centimeter off for me while the unfinished shape in A fits the measurements perfectly. I'm not sure if this is an error or I am misunderstanding something.
Very using your teaching thank you so much sir
The explanation for question 8 is somehow incorrect, but comes to the right conclusion...Luck or just mis spoke? Thank you for the practice and examples. All the best.
.i don't understand about Q9.can you give us more example about it sir.thanks ahead
Hi, for question 9, isn't the answer supposed to be 2? When you fold the prism the white arrow and the dark green arrow are pointing towards each other. When you tilt the prism past the dark green arrow there is a space, just like number 2. @CarreerVidz, if I'm wrong can you explain it?
Thanks for the great video. You are awesome.
Glad you enjoyed! Thank you :)
Hey Richard, question 4 can the answer be option A as well? Since I can directly see the hidden shape as it is in the first figure
I really do not understand the prisms? Could someone explain please?
question 9 doesn't quit make sense, to myself at least. As per your answers to others, you said prisms 2 and 5 is the correct answer. I agree with prison #2, and I also agree that #5 would fit into net #4, but prism 5 won't fit net #1. The black arrow would have been visible.
Prism 5 would not fit net 1 because the White arrow in that case should have been Vertical but is horizontal
@@andrewhenderson593 prism 5 should not consider bocoz both the arrows in prism 5 is close to each other....... check 7:58 - 8:16(explanation)

@@CareerVidz Sure Sir!
Thank you for the explanation in the first section of the video it was beneficial. The first answer is correct because if you put the shapes together and match them with the corresponding letters. For question two the answer to the question is b this is the correct thing as the question says said you should check it.

At 7:50 you say "either of the nets, 1 OR 2?"
Question : Q8 asks "Which triangle prism can be made using the net of 1 AND 4". I wouldn't have instinctively assumed the question wanted me to chose, but rather to add them together
Thank you so much. 2-b 3-c 5-a 7-d 9-2
yes after 2 years!
yes after 2.5 years!
The answer for question 9 is 2 and 5. It cannot be 3 because there is a gap between the white and the grey arrow. If it was 3 it would mean there is not any possibility for a grey arrow. It cannot be 6 either since the grey arrow is pointing sideways and not up. Hopefully I am correct.
Sorry, this is not correct. Would you like to try again?
I was so confident I was right hahahaha. I still do not understand where I went wrong.

Q9 answer should be 2 & 5. I drew, cut and made paper samples.

No 5th is not possible because there is gap between black and white in net and in in 5th there is no gap
@@sujaltibrewal9499 yes there is a gap bc the back is the gap and the joined together bit is in between the arrows. It is 2 and 5
@@pearlrotimi That is what I thought as well when doing it (the gap in the back), but I noticed on question 8, he didn't count the gap on the back in his answer. I'm not sure why...
There needs to be a better explanation for reading prisms. I'm left totally confused. You've contradicted yourself in the answer to Q9. Reading your comments you've said the answer was 2 & 3, 3 & 6, and also 2 & 5??? There's no consistency in the answer which is misleading.
Ya, I noticed he told a commenter named Ruby that #9 (3 and 6) were correct, but then another commenter named Saibhargavi Kona from two years ago wrote #9 (3 and 6) and he said it was incorrect.
@CareerVidz sir may i ask what is the correct answer for q9? It seems that all of the answers provided are all incorrect, then what is the true answer sir?
The answer is D right? In question number 2, I see it in the comment session, why isn't B?

however, I came out with the answers are:

Isn’t Q5 C and D.. they both have the shape
@@moneybags7482 The shape for C is smaller than the hidden shape.
What would Q9 be? I also thought 2,3
@@CareerVidz why not 2&3 for Qs 9. Can you pls explain? Thanks
Q3 -C
8:14 the “gap” means nothing, because it could be the back side of the prism. The real disqualified for “3” in that example is that the arrows are 180 degree rotations relative to one another and in “3” the arrows are only 90 degrees relative to one another.
I wish the math part was this easy…

Can you please explain how in Q8 number 4 goes with number 5? And Q9, you've said 6 and 3 are correct... how is it not 2 and 5? The video is overall good but if it's actually the case that there were no errors made on those questions' purported answers, then the tutorial explanation is very poorly done. And on Q8's explanation, why do you say arrows "should" point a certain way? Why should they? This is visualization, you can rotate things.
