I feel like thus would be more helpful if you would just put the answers and explanations in the drop down box for the video. I’ve been going through the comments trying to check my answers and not everybody has even answered all of them. So I’m not getting explanations of why or even all of the answers. I know I could answer with my own answers but since I have an interview tomorrow, and was only given 1 day to prepare, I don’t have time to wait for you to respond. However, when you do give explanations you do a really good job of making it understandable, so I am learning a lot from your videos. So thank you 😊

Q2 is just a vision trick. If there was a way for the water to be routed then G would fill up first then F but they are blocked off so B has to fill up first.

Hey Richard can you pls explain question 12? I think its fairly straight forward or common logic and sense that the answer would be "D" due to surface space and a flat bottom making it much harder to push this weighted shape onto its side... But, it would be beneficial to still have the explanation when it comes to this type of question incase similar ones of same principal come up but are not exact to your examples! Id also love an explanation for Q13 D. Its common logic that if the wheels or points of the record were unattached to eachother as a single unit, then B would have the most revolutions. Since the record IS indeed all one unit, each point of the record will evolve the same. Similar to if it were wheels on a drive shaft! Same amount of revolutions or rotations plus same direction of turn/spin! Always appreciate the general understanding to questions and understanding the fundamentals of how to solve. Its nice to revirw in reverse. I.e., if Q13 was asked in this way instead, or if solving for X vs. Y, etc so we can solve all variations of any form the question is asked in.
For Q2 I don’t understand how B is the answer. The water would drain out of B and fill G. From this diagram G would fill and overflow and no other buckets would fill. Can someone explain how it’s B?
If you look closely, you’ll see the pipe between B and G is closed off, therefore it cannot fill up, next would be F, if you Take a look at the bottom of the pipe before it enters F, it is also blocked therefore B would fill first
I don't understand how question 11 isn't 25 kg, is it because of the two meters on the opposite side you subtract it from the 4 to get 2? and divide 100 kg by 2m instead of the 4?

what did they just throw u in the deep end, and expect you to know everything magically? It takes years and years of thinking about machines to know really tricky ones. its best just to get good at whatever your doing personally and forget getting a job.

Oh the passage going to F is blocked thats why. Thanks for clarifying! And as for the Q13 I think the outer part has a faster linear velocity than the inner part but I don't know if being a vinyl has something to do with it. I could use the help. I found the video just by searching for asvab review materials. I really appreciate your help!
@@darkdixie4174 the whole disc revolves 45 times a minute, no one part separates it self from the disc and has a different rpm than the rest. If the question was which point travels farther, then there would be differences

CareerVidz I don’t see how the answer to Q2 could be B. Once the water reaches the halfway point it will start on the pathway to container F. And since container F has no way of keeping the water from overflowing once it is filled, the water level in container B will never be able to rise above the halfway point because the water will continue to flow to container F even after it is full. So I would say the answer would have to be F. Unless there is something I am not taking into consideration. Could you please explain how B would be the correct answer?

Hey there. I was thinking maybe I’d apply for the fire service when the application process opens. At the moment I know it’s open for the north of England I think. I’ve don’t some practice question on their site and just wondered if you could answer a question I have. There’s 3 tests I believe, numerical/verbal and mechanical. It says you need 80% to pass. Now is that for each test or 80% for all 3? Many thanks.
Because metal is heavier than wood. And with the metal disk being the center of gravity, the wooden disk will stop in the bottom position when rolled on a flat surface.
@@CareerVidz She is correct with Q2 being G! The volume of container, diameters of pipes, flow rate of tap, elevation differences and containers being closed reservoirs was not stated. Taking all that into account and assuming that G was drawn at a larger off set from the outlet for a reason from the pipe above this and assuming by looking at the sketch the containers is not sealed, G will fill up first and continue spilling. There for B will never fill, assuming the possible outflow of B and C is not exponential smaller that the inflow from A (looking at the pipe sizes being sketch at a similar diameter). If you take G out of the equation with the two outlets of B more or less the size of the intake from A, how can B fill up even before F (assuming the flow rate from A to B is not exponentially larger than the capable flow rate of B to F. My opinion, thank you for your interesting videos.
@@philipbarnard497 It's almost a trick question with how subtle the diagram is. Look closely at container B. While it shows a tube connecting from B to container G, the tube is closed. Water won't flow through that tube. Same thing applies to container F. The tube is closed at the end and so the water won't will up container F. Therefore the water will flow from A to B, filling only B.

Thank you for your reply. I respectfully disagree. Again assuming in flow and out flow are equal. B can never completely fill. Intact , liquid should not reach the higher hole. Perhaps I’m over thinking it.
@@sillypuddystl2907 I think the confusion is over a tiny little detail in the diagram. Container B is shown to connect to both Containers G & F by tubes. The tube that connects B to G is closed off at B. There is no actual hole for the water to flow from B into the tube. The tube that connects B to F is closed at the end of the tube where it would otherwise connect to F. So the water will flow from B into the tube but then hit the closed end, fill, and then continue filling container B. I hope this helps explain it. If those tubes weren't closed, then you would be completely correct - container G would fill and it would be the only container to fill since is disconnected from the rest of the set up. No overflow would return to the other containers.

Why is the answer to question 2 "B"? I guessed "G" for that one because it seems like water would spill out of "A" and "B" into "G" (without anywhere to spill out to in "G"), and therefore fill up "G" faster.

Hey there. I was thinking maybe I’d apply for the fire service when the application process opens. At the moment I know it’s open for the north of England I think. I’ve don’t some practice question on their site and just wondered if you could answer a question I have. There’s 3 tests I believe, numerical/verbal and mechanical. It says you need 80% to pass. Now is that for each test or 80% for all 3? Many thanks.

The volume of container, diameters of pipes, flow rate of tap, elevation differences and containers being closed reservoirs was not stated.
Taking all that into account and assuming that G was drawn at a larger off set from the outlet for a reason from the pipe above this and assuming by looking at the sketch the containers is not sealed, G will fill up first and continue spilling. There for B will never fill, assuming the possible outflow of B and C is not exponential smaller that the inflow from A (looking at the pipe sizes being sketch at a similar diameter). If you take G out of the equation with the two outlets of B more or less the size of the intake from A, how can B fill up even before F (assuming the flow rate from A to B is not exponentially larger than the capable flow rate of B to F.
My opinion, thank you for your interesting videos.
@@philipbarnard497 It's almost a trick question with how subtle the diagram is. Look closely at container B. While it shows a tube connecting from B to container G, the tube is closed. Water won't flow through that tube. Same thing applies to container F. The tube is closed at the end and so the water won't will up container F. Therefore the water will flow from A to B, filling only B.

There’s no way Q2 could be B. It has two outlets. It can never fill. It could only be G or F. Assuming the water isn’t absolutely gushing out!

@@sillypuddystl2907 well itll overflow into B because the opening is lower and will drain quicker out of A into B and until that one fills up the other ones won't im bad with words but you see what im saying?
Thank you for your reply. I respectfully disagree. Again assuming in flow and out flow are equal. B can never completely fill. Intact , liquid should not reach the higher hole. Perhaps I’m over thinking it.
@@sillypuddystl2907 I think the confusion is over a tiny little detail in the diagram. Container B is shown to connect to both Containers G & F by tubes. The tube that connects B to G is closed off at B. There is no actual hole for the water to flow from B into the tube. The tube that connects B to F is closed at the end of the tube where it would otherwise connect to F. So the water will flow from B into the tube but then hit the closed end, fill, and then continue filling container B. I hope this helps explain it.
If those tubes weren't closed, then you would be completely correct - container G would fill and it would be the only container to fill since is disconnected from the rest of the set up. No overflow would return to the other containers.

Why is the answer to question 2 "B"? I guessed "G" for that one because it seems like water would spill out of "A" and "B" into "G" (without anywhere to spill out to in "G"), and therefore fill up "G" faster.
Trick question there's no flow thru the tubes there closed off
