  • At the A1CFS shop, JC Torres and Juan Roberto utilize an Induma model S-1 serial# 3200 turret mill connected to a Bridgeport Series 2 ‘J’ head to make custom t-slot nuts 1 inch tall and 1 inch wide and 1.2 inches long with 7/16”-14 threads. We show many facets of the overall process.

Some very shallow threads, potentially weak.

The threads are slightly shallow on the bottom side of the t-nut to allow for quicker, easier threading with the tap. The depth of the shallow end is less than 1/4” , this allows over 3/4” of meaty threads that hold down the work just fine! These custom made t-nuts are extremely strong and very versatile!
Take care and good luck with your machining adventures!
