Everytime I hear Varian's theme song I get choked up. Every single time!
It's Anduin theme actually, in legion, this theme released as anduin theme
@@ananyamukherjee6944 Maybe, but every time I hear it, I think of Varian and his sacrifice.
If you look closely at the “star or soul azeroth “ it looks like you can see the golden spinning rings that were used to trap the primal and it is on the art
Xal does manipulate the Shadow Priest PC to talk to Odyn and get one shot by him.
In her description of us, the heroes of Azeroth, she gives away something. Our courage never falters. To me it says she knows what we are capable of, even in our hostilities between the factions. We won't ever stop in protecting our world. She says it like she knows we gonna give her hell. I know I plan to.
Its obvious lol, we commented the same thing on iridikron year ago.
Most likely why we will lose next 2 expansions for the first time.
I think we cant ignore that Shadowlands will be relevant in very near future, so much stuff interconnecting with current and future lore stuff.
BINGO watched 3 vids and this is first mention of lovecraft,... ty bro
At 13:26 look to the right of the heart do you see the red eyes and face in the background image. It’s there!!! Who is that
I commented the same question before finding this.
It's nothing, just an anthropomorphic image.
Good vid bro. I like that a lot of people are avoiding too many spoilers. I'm going to throw a couple of irrelevant things at everyone to get some gears moving in peeps heads. Insectoids, Dragons and Trolls have a lot of similarities and may be closer related than we think. Xal has might have always been on Azeroth (she acts more like a spiteful child). Have a great day all!!! :)
I'm interested in the nature of this darkness in which she, our lady Azeroth, sleeps. I think Xal means that both metaphorically and cosmically and here's why. The Void, in this mythos and pretty much every other including IRL (my folks call it "ginnungagap" and ördra, 'original darkness') is the base state of everything and is the magically charged nothingness of infinite chaotic potential that all reality explodes forth from and is then forever trapped outside of. I think that Azeroth unborn is probably a blank slate entity of both Light and Shadow and neither, depending on the forces applied to her, and likewise we "mortals" (the word is really starting to strain under the weight of what it entails) of Azeroth are of both/neither order/entropy, light and dark, which is why every conceivable type of magic can be found on Azeroth, and that has already had cosmic consequences multiple times for us. I mean we've got fucking birds that are time-travelling demigods because they touched an amulet, of course the Void and the Light and Order and Death all want a piece of this pie, you could make Azeroth into whatever kind of mega goddess you please. You just have to kill us first. Good luck.
"Azeroth" isn't a play on the word "Azathoth". It's a reference to the novel "Fires of Azeroth" featuring a fighter named "Morgaine" with a magical sword who fights monster people who come through a portal from another dimension.
It's literally Mograine and the Ashbringer.
There's even an achievement called "Fires of Azeroth" in the game.
I am thinking of Xal'atah as I do the Silver Surfer who was in the charge of Galactus before he broke free. And the 'breaking' of Azeroth just makes me think of a baby chick hatching from their egg, but this one has a ring of containment/holding around them.
Exactly, i hear on all other streams people that obvious follow the lore on surface level 'Xalatath is big bad, i hope she is final boss of the saga" bruh do you even know her purpose? Its obvious she is here to bring something that will cover our skies in darkness, we have 5th old god on mural and obviously her master Dimensius.
She is silver surfer of WoW and cant possibly be stronger then even the fraction of the Voidlord.
love watching these really good takes, the light at the beginning makes me think of the light in the sky everytime I look up while playing (the light grows imo) the dream take blew my mind cause that makes me think of the visions from bfa
I just like to think that sargeras and elune and the jailer were not trying to kill azeroth but to try and break the shackles of azeroth. Elune with the trees. Roots growing near a foundation will cause cracks and over time cause it to crumble. Sargeras stabs at the bonds to weaken or break them and I think zovaal was trying to blast azeroth not to harm her but to give her more power to break free. And we stopped all of them based off of titan lies.
The Jailor was trying to geniunely do the opposite. He states in the raid cinematics before we kill him off that he wanted Azeroth's power so he could Thanos snap reality.
He was literally draining Azeroth's life force in order to try and remake existence. What tf are you talking about?
its probably not because of the date its because of the whispers in that part of the video
Xal'atath reminds mo so much of Emil Narud/Samir Duran from Starcraft franchise.
"The Dark Beyond" is where the elves got all their magics. We need to investigate that imo.
I guess Azeroth dreams of us and our deeds, not creating them, but being influenced by them.
I still think the crystal is Naaru related and will link to the next expansion by being linked to the Sunwell since the latter has also become a source of Light around the time the Arathi were sent there, if I get the timeline right.
If the expansion ends with a loss, Xal'atath might manage to use the crystal to destabilize the Sunwell, threatening it to change into a Void Portal, leading into the next one ... and if you want a special heartbreak moment Anduin has to take the place of the Naaru, powering the crystal with Light at least for the time being, echoing Bolvar's and Illidan's roles.
But hey, I guess there are many surprises on the way, as every patch needs to have its own tone, so first we fight the Nerubians, then what threatens the roots and then ... Seriously can't wait.
two points. 1. i'm getting a sense that xal'atath doesn't care who wins and who loses, she just likes to see the eternal conflict on azeroth, as it is somehow working toward her goal. it's like the constant conflict is filling up some gauge, and when it reaches the top, something will burst, or something will awake, and she's here for it. remember the title of the game you've been playing for all those years: world of warcraft. it's right there, central to everything.
2. the name 'aZEROth' has zero in it. she's not the first or second of fifTH, she's zeroTH. she's most likely the origin of everything. 'zereth' realms - might have something to do with it as well.
Good to see Accolonn appreciates the simple things in life, a Shower. When it all comes crashing down, I am glad I am a Warrior with a Code of Honor, no spirit or light to look to.
I have to say how Xal'atath says, "Even across Time.", sounds like astonishment, praise of our dedication, and determination.
What if Xal'atath Created us, gave us the curse of flesh, she'd be our Mother.... Food for thought.
I believe that when Azeroth wakes up, that we're going to become her sword in a conquest across the cosmos to new worlds to help them
Should we read into the symbols circling "The Darkness Calls" and how they are similar to the symbols on the rings we see around Azeroth in the logos or the rings that held the Incarnates? Or were they there at the end for aesthetic purpose?
i member watching you back in Legion days. Back when you first had the "Sup F....amily" hoddie. its still one of my fav's to wear. anyshwayz, i took a hiatus from all things wow right before the end of Legion, and im JUST now getting back into it. I was thinking you look like youve lost weight. "...before i go to the gym, btw..." - you. yea that checks. Glade to see youre holding to it. you look good. and imo you look happier. keep it up. glade to see youre still deep into the lore, im going to use youre channel to get caught up on whats been happing in the storyline.
You don't need to guess at who is speaking, if you turn Closed Captions on it tells you it is Xal'atah. Also that is how we know the visions Thrall and Anduin are having do come from the World Soul because the CC tells you the World Soul says "Anduin". Just because the Arathi Emperor got a vision from the crystal that doesn't automatically mean the ones we see are from it.
So Blizzard will never actively hide something to preserve mystery?
@@TheAccolonn Oh yes they would. Blizzard is KNOWN for hiding the truth right in front of us and then cloaking it behind something else so we will think its something totally different. I've been on Azeroth a long time and for anyone else who has, they know this to be true. Illidan is great example of this.
@@TheAccolonn even in new short story of anduin, the world soul is speaking with anduin in vision , where he saw some kind of sun
Ours is a cycle of hatred.
@@TheAccolonn You're also off on the idea that Xal'atath is after whatever is in the crystal, as at the end of the cinematic she specifically says she's after the world soul. The crystal may be a bonus objective or a means to an end, but she's definitely after the world soul.
You don't need to apologize for late videos.
Accolonn collect phrases from two cinematics, “they fought with monsters, tyrants and primordial beasts, and even through time and space their courage did not waver, even on the threshold of death” but “in the end they will only have fury” “which will all be mine”
"darkness in the heart of the world".Something must happen (turn out to be) so disappointing and plunges us into apathy that in the end even “our unwavering courage” will eventually waver. And at the same time, we feel “fury” from that event.
I would have been plunged into “fury”😡 if I had always fought for Azeroth (🥺my "mother" land), but it turned out that she consciously and purposefully raised me as😨 😏food (energy, anima, etc.) for her awakening😳. It would turn out that she is not a kind, caring lady in the style of 😇Elune, but, in the end, a 😱😈bitch who devours us all to the last drop.☠
"nothing personal, just business."
Supernatural seasons 1-5 and 11-15 are the best. I just had to rewatch seasons 6-10 again because I had forgotten all of it lol. And THANK YOU for this analysis. I cannot WAIT for this to be released. I've been avoiding the Beta.
At Last..the Magic will never be gone, even if it perhaps only takes place in the head or the heart. 😜
Anyone else see the eye behind (and to the right of) the Azeroth ball of light? Could just be paradolia...
I take it that you were watching the parliament thing
that crack in the logo must be a rune!
Love it!
During the end when it gets to the wow logo and the world is cracking am I crazy in saying I hear a dragon cry? Sounds the same as the cry during the scene zoomed into azeroths soul before talking about dragonflight "blooming"
Azeroth is a dragon hatching?
The captions call out the dragon roar so you are not crazy.
Somebody forgot to bless the rains.
if we assume that Azeroth is the "last titan" then could it mean that titans of order, death etc, are not "titans"? like they are titanlings or sort of other little powerful upstart creatures referring to themselves as titans?
Also if she's the last titan, who were before her in timeline of real titan creation? Can we say the word "first ones" could refer to the birth timeline of the real titans? first titans then azeroth the last of the titans? or maybe she was one of the first ones and now to be put to sleep to be the last of the first ones awoken?
But if Azeroth is not one of the "titans" and amanthule, eonar ,etc are the "titans", then who could be "the last titan"? has to be someone other than the ones we already know(otherwise it would be less exciting). would be boring to assume the last titan is referring to aggramar, amanthule, winter queen, etc etc. if it is then the only one among the ones we already know of, I could think of Sargeras becoming the last titan, and I don't like this theory...I prefer Azeroth, Argus, Dimensius's world soul, etc being Titans and order, death titans being less powerful entities calling themselves titans for now...
Azatoth, the Crawling Chaos, sleeps in the Center of the Cosmos, attended by the blind, idiot gods, who play ceaselessly on flutes, producing mad, insane cacophonous melodies.
Xalatath is a villian who studied the history, culture and tactics of her enemy for a millenia and now she back with a vengeance.... That makes her truely dangerous to a whole new level...
When a chick hatches, the eggshell, some microbes and bacteria hanging around on the top for the eggshell, get destroyed.
So when the worldsoul awakens, we get destroyed? :
Is there a good reason to think Sargeras wouldn't be the last titan after something unfortunate happens to the rest of them?
What if the big light/void crystal was transported from Karesh? The song that is heard on Azeroth now was heard on Karesh by the ethereals before Dimensius attacked their world. We knew Xal was on Karesh at that time and maybe she is referring to the Kareshi world soul.
Maybe there could even be 2 world souls on Azeroth, one from the world itself and one transplanted from Karesh.
Azeroth got ninja looted from Xal'atath.
What if, Xal'atath was Aegwyn since the start, the mother of Medivh???
Corrupted by the void, she was sealed by someone in that dagger, and now is in another body. She could had betrayed Sargeras when he came the first time, maybe...
Would be a nice plot twist ...
unrelated to WoW but since you mentioned it... I definitely gotta watch Supernatural (never have)
I just finished The Vampire Diaries for the 2nd time in a row and i was legit about to start it AGAIN XD
i should probably try something different :P
What if Xal’atath is actually Queen Aszhara?
I am one of the 5 people that liked the Shadowlands, lol
Six actually
Seven
Count me in, i played through the whole Shadowlands back then when it was live, and i dont see it as bad as people say.
Yes we had lack of content, and you were forced into doing dailies and torghast but it wasnt that bad as people say. Actually had cool lore stuff and some interesting things, even tho narrative was a miss at end of expansion I think it was confirmed Blizz had big intern problems back then and basically they didnt tell whole story of Shadowlands how it was supposed to go.
I must say, conceptually Shadowlands was amazing. The music, the art and aesthetics-fabulous!
The only thong that bugged me is that the story felt rushed? Like it was rewriten in the last moment, which sadly left figures like the Jailer in the mud.
And maybe they could have included more lore from the Novel ingame.
But other than that, it was not so bad
yeah, shadowlands was a nice concept executed terribly. your standards are low if you say you liked shadowlands. trust me, everybody wanted to like shadowlands, but we have standards.
Can we compare her voice there to the other cinematic that whispers Anduins name?
Did he do a read of the goblin short story, because if he did i haven't seen it
I did not, after reading it I didn't feel it had much lore potency so decided not to read it, if people really want it, I will.
And also the call backs tell us that xalatath knows everything and it scary lol
Could Xal'Atath be a Void corrupted aspect of Azeroth and not a squiggly Void creature? I mean ...split souls have been a thing in this Universe...the Sunwell had an Elf Avatar...The Old Gods were here for a LO-Ong time...maybe they got to a part of Azeroth. Maybe Xal'Atath has been denied HER soul all this time.
25:00 lol ya I didn't care that you didn't watch the rest. I was being sarcastic. It's funny that you addressed it XD
No bro, the Arathi are half Elf, half Human.... That's Faerin LOTHAR!!
"Azeroth is a First One. And the First Ones we saw in SL are imposters"
Dawg what are you smoking?
The shadowlands they were not the first ones they were the eternal ones
Sire Denathrius, the Arcon, the Winter Queen and the Primus were the eternal ones. The First ones were supposedly who built it all.
Is it possible "The Last Titan" is sargeras?. wrapping back to just before metzen left blizzard? because my theory is that metzen again leaves at the end of that xpac and has an understudy that will take over in 14.0.
I want them to give us the option to work with Xal'atath or not :)
Watch it again with sub titles, you missed something very important during the part where it shows the world soul.
I didn't, I believe it's subversion, I never have to trust subtitles because they've been wrong before.
Half orc half elf🤭
Yup, soon as I published the video I was like, Wtf are you saying, the timeline on that wouldn't make any sense but alas it's too late, still, don't spoil too much of that for myself I want to at least go into this expac semi unspoiled.
Faerin the black woman you see in the cinematic Is a Half elf. Half High elf, half human, but if you ask them about it, they just call themselves Arathi.
Yeah, it was something like that. I purposefully haven't gone too deep into it cause I want some mysteries. I knew it was half and half.
@@TheAccolonn yeah I withheld her last name for people that haven't looked.
But taking a shower removes the Earth Shield buff!
Sorry disagree, but in darkness she slumber means she was sleeping and then she said, azeroth has been awaken so now, she is speaking like to anduin and thrall
"in darkness, she slumbers.." ..meaning currently.
Not "slumbered" ..the past tense here would mean she's awake now, but that's not what was said.
Why didn't she talk about us defeating the old gods
Because she is talking about our success, not her sides failures... probably
Probably because we didn't. We just think we did.
Agree she looks awesome !!
Is Blizzard going to end World of Warcraft? If Azeroth is destroyed which is implied by it cracking apart at the end of the cinematic, how could WOW have a future?
I am geniunely annoyed that almost every major speculation creator has skipped over @ 21:24. Pyromancer, of all people, the person who speculates the most on Eonar, the Emerald Dream, all of that snazzy stuff, was literally looking away from the screen than chat distracted him with mythology tales from other universes. I'm glad someone at least bothered to acknowledge this.
Azathoth is NOT the big guy in Lovecraft. This is an exaggeration lol. The actual BIG BOSS of Lovecraft is Yog-Sothoth.
So orc blooded but not green and looks black
Zalatath also has first ones runes on her face titans only have titanic runes/ order runes on them. No one else has that on them.
This saga needs to end with a full revamp of wow as a whole, we need new lore and just a new world to be immersed in that isn't shackled by the old.
ok, I'll be a cynic and say that the recycled cinematics managed to help them not to spend much on this xpac launch cinematic. It was somewhat well-played at building the "journey is near complete" vibe, but my gut was that this was a cost cutting cinematic. Let's hope that money went into the development (I dare to dream)
Im happy that you are not in wow story telling team because you are always try to go to far with story and problem is to far always is not have build ups around it
Cool
Echoes of copium analysis lets go
The best way to fix the game is to destroy it...burn it! and from the ashes of their world...build a better one!
No reaction and days late? Disappointed.....
Waschmaschine the Trailer with subtitels. @Accolonn
