What is the comparison on battery life between the gen 2 and usb c pencils?

Great video. Very informative. You are right about the DoubleTap. I've turned mine off. But as a professional comic book artist who exclusively uses the iPad to create my artwork, I / WE have to have a pressure pressure-sensitive drawing device. So the new pencil is a no-go.

My question is , i have apple magsafe duo wireless charger which i carry in travels and was using it for my old watch series-6. Does apple watch Ultra-2 charge works with magsafe duo charger ? Is it possible ?
Or Does the apple watch Ultra-2 charge only works with the magsafe charge the provide ?

Do you only have to pair the USBC pencil once? Will it be remembered each time you use it (after ipad restart etc?)
yes, it remembers. It’s Apple! It just works!
After one pairing it has a memory of it.

Only the USB-C iPads work with this one
I love that the USBC Apple Pencil doesn’t have any small pieces unlike the first generation.
so how do you determine the battery level of the USB-C version it doesn't show animation when magnetically attaching to the iPad? 🤷
I have a gen one and it shows a message when the battery is low, or you place a widget on your home screen to see what the battery percentage is
I wish the first gen was across board compatible.. I am fine with the first one I have 😢
I had a 2nd gen pencil. Just know if you accidentally leave it uncharged for long period of time, it will die and will not recharge as it always needs to be charged. I actually like that it has the ability to be charged vs having to buy a whole new pencil - wish the 2nd gen has this feature.

Right! I think this product is more for people still using a 1st Gen Apple Pencil with the new iPad 10th Gen…or for people who don’t have any Apple Pencil at all yet.

And in a pinch, you can use this new one while it's charging.
They need to keep the 1st gen pencil cuz of the 9th gen and 8th gen or replacement pencils lol

Samsung do a stylus that doesn't need to be charged all! Great of artists doing several hours work. And yes much cheaper too! I think iPads are overpriced for what they do.
