My dad was a mechanical engineer and machinist. He loved making hot air engines. If he was alive I would send this to him and I’m sure he would make a little Sterling engine like this one. I really enjoy your videos. The hacks and gadgets are always fun to see.
Yeah, that would be great! I'd like to see something that I can take on my bushcraft trips and find a use for like pumping water or generate 12v energy etc. Just to have some fun with it and maybe it'll turn into something that's actually practical!
I like the Stirling engine because it's a simple but elegant design. It's also a great way to learn about thermodynamics and the way energy can be converted from one form to another. It's also a very practical device, as it can be used to power small machines and devices. Plus, it's just a fun project to work on
The Stirling engine is actually a great little thing, there are many options on all sorts of online shops, will probably get one as a gift for my grandma!
@@user-me2zb1bz3u fun fact: you can also use it with realy cold drink but you do need some ice in it but it doesnt go so fast with ice bc it works via a heat DIFFERENCE so you can also do that if you like to but tea does work better
Funny you say that. I have a 17" one that is mounted to my wall with LEDs around the frame. Before I go to bed, I spin it over and turn the light on a deep blue color. It's so mesmerizing and helps me fall asleep. I really like it.
Dave the first gadget can also be used by not rotating it all the way upside down and instead at an angle so more of the sand is in the water, but can still move down. This way it moves much quicker!
Small warning for anyone thinking of purchasing the sand art, it is FRAGILE, at least the one I got. The glass shatters kinda easily and mine even fell out of the frame a little
When someone finds the syringe in your desk, I'd like to hear how you explain it. I'd also like to hear you explain to your wife why you bought a $100+ ball point pen. The Stirling engine will give you an excuse to take a coffee break every half hour.
I'm your newest subscriber cos you're so cool: that cheerily excited voice, those absolutely useless stuff (but so funny that I was pretty amused). The best thing Nr. two, I think that even James Watt would laugh in his grave. Good job Dave.
I always watch your newest of videos! They are just so entertaining and I can't explain why. I have been subscribed for you for more than 3 years now, And I still watch your content! Amazing video, Davehax!
Dave is a perfect youtuber. He edits good, his voiceovers are pretty cool, Huh? And He's a kid-friendly youtuber. I watched him for a year. Keep up the good work Dave 🤍👍💪
Used to have one of those sand-plates(? ) quite a few years back It was a gift to my mom, I dont recall from who tho It was a rectangle shape instead of circular and it sat on our piano until it eventually broke
Me and my mom watch you acesionally, and we absolutely love it! It’s always so fun, and we’ve even bought some of the things you have reviewed! Great work my guy! ❤
Dude I used to watch this guy soooooooooo much along with is it a good idea to microwave this and smoosh back when they where all good not saying this guy isn’t good lol I miss this guy hope he has been doing well
7:24 That’s the same angle at which the Earth is. Also, if the pen has “premium refills”, what do you do when you run out of them? Where do you buy more without buying a whole new pen?

Did you like them? Which was your favorite? Links to the gadgets in the description...
You didn’t ❤️ your own comment
haven't watched fully... I'll edit this comment and I'll comment which one is my favorite.
Edit: the Sand Art Picture was my favorite.
Engines!!!!!!
The sand toy was great! A question: have you ever Made a Video about car Gadgets and bicycle gadgets? Would be pretty cool, huh!

Liquid motion toys of the 90's need to make a comeback. Those things were so much fun.

So true lol
My first dentist had like 2 dozen of those. I always enjoyed flipping them over when I was a kid.
5:28 Yes, make one about small engines, that would be cool
Pretty Cool Huh!
Agreed
Its like a old 19th century invention
Yeah, that would be great!

Good timing Dave, considering all our computers are down 😂
wait i thought that was just company computers cuz nobody needs that much security on their PC
If your computer is down, how are you watching?
I just realized, you can have a different device without the software.

100 pounds for a pen is crazy
That's one heavy pen.
That's about $125. :-(
Luxury. 😑
You'd think if if you're paying that much you would get more than 2 refills.
Ikr like what if u lost it

I used to binge watch you years ago and I’m still glad you’re still kicking
I like the sand art picture
Really nifty items - The sand one, I think watching it would put me to sleep rather than distract me LOL. I love it. Thank you Dave 😊

Nobody gon point out how good his hand writing is, it looks really good to me
BROOO
I used to watch you as a kid like 3/4 years ago
I'm so glad you haven't change at all
The Sterling engine should work on either a cup of hot coffee or a cup of ice water. Try it.
The hovering pen concept is years old. Like the heat engine and landscape device though
Hi Dave I I love your videos I always Use your life hacks you are my favorite youtube❤
"pretty cool, huh?" never gets old
Dave!!!! Hi! I love your vids! I always use your life hacks! Especially the tshirt folding one
I love this when it slows down enough you know, it's cool enough to drink. 😊
Sand Art is my favourite. I bought the exact one. Thank you for reviewing it.
been watching since 2016 and i never got bored. you always get what the title or the thumbnail says :)
The first thing u showed was awesome it is calming to watch
This guy makes me smile everyday. Love you, Dave!
That 23,5° angle isn't random, it's the rotation angle of the earth relative to it's orbital plane.
Dave hax thanks for being my childhood for years it’s been a long time sense I have seen your videos I’m glad you still post to this day
Everyone of these items would have been seen in a Sharper Image catalog in the 80s.
When Dave said *next I want to try this* an ad came up and it was of red bull F1 LOL😂
I'd love to see more of this stuff in the future!

I like the falling sand one. It looks relaxing to watch. My desk is too small for it though.
Yeah!! More Dave Videos Frequently!! ❤💙
Haven't watched Dave for 4 years, I'm glad you're still going strong and still going amazing 'till this year, Love you, DaveHax, keep going !!

The hover pen is pretty cool and premium but *100£???*
I have that exact Stirling engine. It didn't last long. The connecting rods loosened and fell off the crank!
I like the coffee cup one
this man is like from the past. good days.
also, that kettle is old school goodness.
12 year old channel, still going strong, Bravo, Dave! also anyone remember gallium?
Good video but can you bring back the old music?
if this man made a cooking video he would have everything to do anything with his food
8:00 Thank you for the reminder of that old new video, I haven't watched it yet
Those landscapes must be sandscapes? 😉
The Stirling engine thing would maybe be great to put over your coffee to maybe keep it warm or while you wait for it to cool down
This channel is such a W
But, I thought it was a good Video. And it's my choice is to pick a Stirling Engine. It's a beautiful way to cool off. So, I can have a Warm drink.
This man is the reason my childhood is alive
Yes, look at other engines. You will be very amazed at some of the different working kits
"And came in this box"... thanks. So interesting to see an amazon box.
Bro stop hating it’s not funny
Used to have one of those sand-plates(? ) quite a few years back
It was a gift to my mom, I dont recall from who tho

The sterling engine is a nice example of convection
You still give me that 2019 vibe
We as a species do not deserve something as cool as a Stirling engine on a coffee mug, but I'm glad we can get them.
Thanks for doing what you do!
Thanks for your support
The sterling will tell you when your soup is cool enough to drink.
Please look at more engines, that was so cool!
most of my childhood explained in 1 channel
That sand art is over 3 decades old. They had this in square frames when I was a kid and I'm 50.
Yes I remember them from the 80's. I'm nearly 60
Great vid and great handwriting. I'd want the pen if not for the price haha

why don't the sand of different colors mix up over multiple flip-overs? Are the particles' sizes different?

Ah, Dave, if only I had a desk job lol
