    That looks delicious. I'm guessing the assam boi can be found in Asian food markets. Do you have any preference on the type of green apple used? Thanks!

      Granny smith for sure! And yes, asam boi can be found in Asian grocers. Usually at the snack section.

      Try looking out for "dried preserved plum" in Chinese grocery stores. Unfortunately, it is something we buy and not make ourselves. :( More information about asam boi and the recipe can be found here: www.nyonyacooking.com/recipes/green-apple-with-asam-boi~H1pvpoEEX

    Could you use umeboshi?

    • @dreamydisaster

      Spencer Kieft no

      Ok, I can probably find the kind she uses.

    • @nyonyacooking
      @nyonyacooking  Před 6 lety +1

      Umeboshi would be too salty for this drink. Asam boi is also slightly sweet as powdered sugar is sprinkled on it. You can find asam boi in most Asian grocers, located usually in the snack section.

    hi grace. how much sugar needed? u forgot to state it in ur recipe. tq

      christina k I do believe she is "double dipping." The ingredient amounts are written on the blog so she makes money when people watch her videos and then she makes money again when people look at her blog. This is common practice for some youtubers.

      Spencer Kieft earlier on when i checked her blog, the sugar wasnt there. but now she added the sugar amount already...anyway, tq.

      Spencer, we never make much out of our users and followers. There is no "double dipping" happening here. The intention of creating videos posted here are only meant to serve the recipes posted on our website. At the end of the day, we only want to make the users' experience better.
