    I'm kinda in the same boat bro, limp mode. Mechanic hooked it up to a scanner and read U1024 which is a VVEL control module for a 08 g37coupe. This happened right after a tune for 3inch intakes. Any advice is much appreciated.

      A few months after this video the car started throwing multiple codes saying low oil pressure ended up being a rear timing cover gasket according to my mechanic it was a $2000+ job so I sold the car as is.

      found out that uprev software was the issue. not the tuner

    Did you ever hear a slight rattle for a second on a cold start before you got any codes? I dont have a check engine light or codes, but I am trying to figure out if mine is on its way out since I hear a slight rattle noise on upper drivers side of my motor during startups. When I google it the symptoms, I find forums talking about the solenoid failing was the cause but they all talked about codes that I am not experiencing. what I'm also experiencing is a slight lag or delayed throttle response mainly under 2k rpms, but after resetting the ECU and relearning things each time, I sometimes notice the delay can be above 2k rpms depending on how i relearn the exhaust valve timing.

      it could be your catalytic converter rattling. could be clogged. check it out.

    I put a new hitachi solenoid on my g35 HR and it’s rattling on low rpm’s at times and on startup.

    Did it give you p0300 misfire code?

    • @firstname5418
      @firstname5418  Před 2 lety

      No , but first I would check your spark plugs and coils . It could be a number of different problems causing that code though .

      I got code p0011 & p0021 first which is for the VVT solenoid and actuator. After running the car for a few days i checked for codes again and that when p0300 popped up. I think the first two codes is whats causing p0300 to pop up. Im waiting on the solenoid to come in so i can switch it out and see if that fixes my problem. Oh i did switch out the cam position sensor bank 2 but that didnt fix anything. I had that laying around so i figured id try that first since its easy.
