    Cool. The VVT solenoid had a tiny leak on my 2006 Toyota Matrix at 206k miles, so a replaced it and it's filter with OEM units. I thought it was the body that was leaking, but it turned out to be the o-ring, so I could have just replaced that. Also, you can use an m12 battery to bench test the unit to make sure the valve is moving freely.

    In my Volvo VVT solenoid, in the center, the moving part is a plastic rod. I think it deformed and became stuck. It requires lot of force to push it back. I think the oil presure isn't enough to push the rod back so it's stuck. Cleaning it with dish soeap reduced mis-firing but there were still mis-firing. It's better to replace it with third party part costing $30 to $100 bucks. (Car has 200k KM)

    Im a little confused here. I cant see how you done much of anything in reference to cleaning it. Being that the default position should be closed, not one orifice you sprayed into had fluid come out of another opening....hmm.

    Hi, thanks for your video. One question, I have a 2008 Toyota Corolla with 230,000 km with a manual gearbox. The fault is that when turning on it starts with 1300 rpm and as it heats up they go up to 2000, that is, it is the other way around since I understand it should drop to around 900 rpm. and already hot I go out and when I make the gear changes I see that the rpm oscillate between 2000 and 1000 rpm and when I continue the march the minimum is 2000 rpm. If I leave it running stopped the car stays at 2000 rpm. I clarify that with a scanner it does not give an error. Well we removed the carburetor, total cleaning including the MAF sensor of the filter, to clarify, you cannot remove the IAC valve to clean but the carburetion body was submerged in non-abrasive removing liquids and a lot of dirt came out. We measured TPS and IAC with a multimeter, we simulated with power and everything was fine. We checked the pipes that had never been touched and they were impeccable. We put everything together and it starts making the same failure. We took out the VVT valve, it was cleaned with carburetor fluid and wd40, I have original oil in the car, of 5 original toyota viscosity, I excited the solenoid with 12 volts to the vvt-i and it works well, I don't improve at all either. So I disconnected the EGR vacuum valve and there the rpm's dropped a little but after five seconds it accelerates and when connected it returns to 2000 rpm. If I disconnect the MAF sensor, the fault disappears but the engine idles low between 300 and 500 rpm's and the car loses power at 3000 rpm's and the brake is very hard. You can help me?

      Check brake booster have vaccuan leak coz pipe or booster. Check engine lean code. Both sign it you have vaccuan leak from brake booster there video how to check it

    • @maungmaung4037
      @maungmaung4037 Před rokem +1

      If not it highly likely maf sensor you need to check with scanner. If good MAF sensor engine stop when you remove electric socket from it . If engine still run your maf is bad. Btw 2008 Toyota don't have carburator anymore you mean to throttle body.

      @@maungmaung4037 Hello, thanks for answering me, I disconnected the MAF and the car idles low, it does not go up more than 500 rpm's and the brake is a bit hard, although the fault disappears where the raelnti is 2000 rpm's and the brakes stop oscillating RPM's from 1000 to 2000, you can't drive. I bought a stock MAF like the one you have factory at Toyota and it didn't fix itself. I thought like you about the leak and had the servo checked and they told me it was fine. Take out the intake manifold and seal some joints that seemed not well sealed. Another test that I did was to disconnect the brake booster valve and the rpm's also drop to 500 rpm's, the brake remains hard without the help, you can't drive like that either. I will also tell you that we removed the throttle body and it was submerged in special liquids, no dirt came out, the car in general is very careful, the only thing I could not remove is the IAC valve because it has a special 25 Pentalobe type key I think, but I can't buy that tool, the same thing, both the IAC and the TPS were cleaned and measured with a tester and the injector voltage was checked and it works fine. I also changed the intake manifold gasket, spark plugs and PSV valve, all original Toyota, the Toyota scanner and other colleagues say nothing of failure. I put a vacuum gauge and it measures 18 normal psi and when accelerating it drops to 0 and then recovers. I don't know whether to suspect a leak from injectors, I am very disoriented and worse, I live in a very small city far from any official service to take to the car and no one has a vacuum gauge and has smoke to see where the leak could be. If you can think of a control that you can do, I would appreciate it. Greetings

      Check your gas pedal latch or cable that's connected to the throttle body, maybe is overtightened or something. Maybe you have some Air leak or a disconnected sensor. Somewhere around
