  • Welcome to this video featuring a walkthrough tour of the Azusa - Downtown Station on the eastern end of the metro A line! This station is at grade, and is the second to last stop on the A line, which is actually the longest light rail line in the world! A two-story target and some great apartments make for good transit-oriented development, especially this far away from Downtown Los Angeles! The station consists of two island platforms connected by a railroad crossing. Bike lockers are also available for bikers. I hope you enjoy this station tour video! I remember when golden line used to pass there

Thanks for another good informative station video.
These older stations need to be retrofitted with fare gates.

Of course! I feel like all light rail stations need fare gates it’s too easy for people to catch free rides

The whole k line seems like a ghost town . It reminds me of irwindale station. San Gabriel valley is wining the ridership compared to the South Bay cities Inglewood and other surrounding cities. Even apu/citrus college station and Azusa downtown station are winning the battle. Arcadia station is extremely busy during rush hours as well.

The k line does seem like a ghost town sometimes! I’ll have to check out the A line during rush hour, I’d love to see those areas heavily used!

Nice station!! I used to ride in that area all the time when it was the Gold Line. I look forward to doing a full A Line ride between Long Beach and Pomona when it opens. I wonder if the AnsaldoBreda P2550 will still run on the A Line or the Refurbished p2000.

Thanks! I remember when it was the gold line too, I feel like the P2550s are most likely to be removed

@@TigerRailfan I think so too. I wonder if they'll most likely begin service on the C or K Lines. I know the the refurbished p2000s might go on the k line when it connects with the C Line.

@@TigerRailfan the p2550 bredas are still legendary because is still has the spirit organic gold line audio voice when it comes to the announcements. If it moves to the k line or c line it might killed the spirit of the organic gold line announcements.

Azusa downtown station gets packed during rush hours or big evens. Is a busy station. I just hope the coyotes don’t get hit by the trains.

That would be wild if a coyote got hit by a train, i would love to see the station packed, luckily ill be there again around 4pm on Tuesday for some filming

Thank you for filming! As a resident of Pomona, I look forward to riding this train soon to visit my family living in South Pasadena.

@@TigerRailfan a lot of coyotes are by veterans freedom park, next to the train station. Azusa has a lot of wildlife.

That’s really cool! The San Gabriel valley is nice, hopefully I’ll be able to film more out there in the future

@@TigerRailfan the San Gabriel valley has unity when it comes to projects unlike the k line people mover. I won’t be surprised the foothill extension project finishes before the k line people mover.
