What a blessing to have stumbled in your channel. I have tinnitus and I already practice all the tips here on my own. I also chew gum when the plane takes off/landing or suck on a lollipop to not have clogged ears when I get to my destination. Thanks for sharing.
In any noisy situation I use noise cancelling AirPods, cuts the noise and I can feed in gentler sounds to break up the tinnitus. I’ve not tried them on an aeroplane yet. If I’m playing in the band I wear moulded silicone ear plugs 🙂.
Hi there good video was wondering what type of earplug do you use? I have loops that are 17 dB and then with the extra mute, I can get a five more use.Or use Mack foams I believe they’re 33 dB. I’m not 100% sure on that.
I mean, they say it's not good to overprotect your ears, but cutting out things no one really wants to hear - jet engines, ads and solicitations on planes or other transports - makes plenty of sense to me ! ;-) Letting yourself be surrounded by everyday sounds yes, but let's face it : there's also a looot of noise for nothing. One question though : I wonder if someone wearing earplugs or ear defenders may not experience some pressure issues on a plane ? Is it ok to have your ears blocked with one or the other while the outside pressure is changing ?
Hi. When I have ear plugs in there is some change in pressure when the plane lands and takes off. Not so much with ear defenders. That’s why I wear them
@@thetinnituschannel intresting I might have to get a pair of ear defenders, I'm assuming your wearing the ear defenders for the entire flight and not just take off and landing? Question Have you ever switch over to your in-ear protection after your in the air for a while say headphones bother your head? would you switch back and for that and change for landing again. thanks....

Thanks for the advice. It's something that I've always been affraid of. I try to take the train instead if possible.
Thanks for the tips. Travelling and even long distance journeys come with anxiousness now. Very insightful
Thank you 🙏
Earplugs make it sound louder in my head

@@megamanproducer Yes I actually switch during the flight just for comfort on a long flight. Then return to defenders on landing.
@@thetinnituschannel thank you just ordered the ear defenders thanks for the recommendation. I’ll try them on my flight in a few weeks. 👍
