I have had the TopRC Hobby A-1 Skyraider for about a year. I like this plane so much that I bought the TopRC F4U Corsair and the Hurricane. Although you can take off on the gear, I hand lunch for most flights. I have found the left torque makes gear takeoffs a challenge and it makes it difficult to steer straight on the ground. Also, his plane’s speed at landing is a bit fast, so I installed flaps on my Skyraider which gave it a better landing experience. I'm sure you will like this aircraft as well.

    • @GroundControlRC

      Fantastic Warbird!
I put (4) flights on it yesterday and it was so stable and easy to fly.
      It's a Keeper.
I also like that they put the ailerons on the outboard wing and left room for some good size flaps.
I bet you can land very slowly with this using flaps as the wing loading is so light.

Got mine yesterday from the front porch. I was surprised it wasn't shipped inside another box, but it made it safely here for the most part. There was a small ding in the trailing edge of the wing and the glue tube ruptured and enveloped the guns. Not a problem for me since the ding was small and I didn't plan on installing any of the weapons loadout anyway. All in all, a great value!

Hey buddy, just want to say great video review you hit a lot of good tips and topic points! Here's one I have for you, I just got my TopRc Mustang Silver/Blk 750mm and I had (2) control horns break the plastic parts that spin then snap into the horn on the flap if that makes sense; the part that you screw or spin for length literally snapped in half mid flight. So, cold + those old plastic parts I'm gonna recommend WHILE YOU HAVE THE TIME Lol to switch those out I literally got my Mustang less than 7 days ago, made 4 flights, all safe landings, but I am passing on this info! I love these planes and I asked Mrs. Clause for the Arrows p-47. I'm trying to stay under 1000mm for another year, these smaller ones are cheap to repair and fun Anywhere! Take care man! -David
