s6xafterse7en yep. Suicide is a very common thing in metal songs. Metal is honestly the most emotionally based genre. You got (in the instance of 5FDP) 5 brothers who all go through the same thing together. And a little fact (I don’t wanna say fun fact), several bands donate regularly to suicide awareness foundations, especially Corey Taylor (of Stone Sour and Slipknot). 5FDP also does a lot of awareness for military vets and LEOs. Lotta respect for em
not just in metal brother. Lots of people that are into lyrical rappers and old school hip-hop and rap go through this as well
Being from the metal community myself that's also another reason we scream in our music, to let the anger and feelings out, not just to sound cool or be catchy, like read the lyrics and it will make so much more sense it's more then " devil worship " it's real feelings

My little brother took his life last year. His name was Howard. My mother gave me his wallet that has his name on it and it's now the wallet I carry. Oh my God. I had no ideal that a child that young even had the capacity to kill them selves. I guess I should have. I had a stress related ulcer at 6. And my mom tells me at 3 she would come in my room and I'd be sitting there bawling histericly. And when she would ask why... I'd say... idk I just feel like someone has ruined my life. Ive struggled. But thankfully I've found a way through. Much love and sympathy to those who weren't as lucky, and that lost love ones.

I ask, because I'm feeling your pain, I've been beating suicidal ideation for almost 40 years now, and I've learned a thing or two about forgiving suicide,...but more importantly, living with suicidal ideation WITHOUT acting on it. While I'll agree that yes, life is precious, it's also excruciating and not inherently worth living for everyone so it's important to find ways to stay when you're in a dark cycle...you sound ok in you post, but it's also littered with something that worries me...please reply either way with an "I'm ok" if nothing else, and take good care 🌻

Man people act depressed for popularity and I hate it becuz I have had friends who committed suicide and I'm only 13 years old three of my friends have committed suicide one in 6th grade orn during the summer time and one in 5th grade and I have helped people with there depression like my friend isreal and my friend ashika I find my self to help depressed people in my school and its something not to play around with that one word that u say to someone can cause so much death and sadness vulnerable bullying is worst than physical becuz that bruise goes away that pain goes away but those words will stick with u rest of your life and it's sad

When I started to have seizures and see that everyone around me got the things that I wasn’t able to get, such as a driver’s license at 16 and a car, etc. because I had to wait 6 months seizure free. I hated the fact that I had it and I wanted to die. One day, I just realized that I’m not the only one that has it and that, everyone is special in their own kind of way. On June 20th, 2020 is going to be a year of seizure free. If you’re reading this, remember that you’re special in your own kind of way no matter the color of your skin. Have a nice day and remember that you will always get through the tough times.

My friend brandon killed himself at the age of 20, just had a daughter, life was doing well for him, and his girlfriend kicked him out of the house over an argument and he couldn’t handle the stress any more. His girlfriend found him hanging from the rafters in the garage the next morning. Love you brandon I’ll see you again one day...

I'm getting better now but seeing her cut herself almost made me throw up, this song has such a powerful message and such relatability for people who have struggled to even want to live. When I was 16 I tried to kill myself for the first time. My girlfriend dumped me when I told her about being molested by a guy at gunpoint. She said she couldn't look at me the same. That was the first of many attempts, and psych ward stays. Alcohol, drugs self destruction, anger, fights. I want you to know that if I could've seen my paths in front of me, I would've never done any of it! I had no idea how happy I could be if I would just keep my head up. I met my wife shortly after getting out of jail. I was 21. I've seen and done things I can never forget and that I can never change. But I've become so much stronger and happier. I turned 47 a couple weeks ago. I'm still married to the woman I met when I was 21, we went to junior high together when we were 14, never looked twice at each other, just faces passing in school. We have two children and just had our first grandchild, a beautiful little girl. I've never been so happy in my life as I am today, people offering me advice and showing me love was the last thing I thought I needed but the best thing that ever happened to me. Hang in there life is very hard, so many downs that just make you wanna give up. NEVER give up, the future is so worth living for!

My best friend shot himself in the head at 13, three weeks before the start of school. He lived in a different state so we couldn’t exactly protect him from his abusive father who’d beat him for anything less than a 100% in school, or if his father had a bad day at work, or if he was drunk, sometimes he just felt like beating his own kid.

My sister Linda had an ex girlfriend, Beth, and they've known each other since the 70s. They spilt but remained great friends. 2 years ago Beth brought her 14 year old dog that she loved more than anything to the vet. She had the dog put to sleep. She then walked to the waiting area(it was empty other than the woman at the counter). Beth sat before the woman and pulled out a gun, put it between her eyes and pulled the trigger once! 45 minutes before she did this she wrote a goodbye/suicide note on FB and tagged my sister. Everybody cried, pleed and bagged her to not do what they thought she was thinking of doing. However by the time they were reading the note on FB she had already pulled the trigger.
The remains in the waiting room was a grotesque horror scene as reported by police. My sister blames herself and still cannot get over it!
Suicide is real.. It does not end the pain but the pain carries on!

I want you to know that I have lost six people to suicide in my life, three of them were what we might consider as typical or common, and the other three were just as heart wrenching and tragic as this one. I want you to know that you guys are not alone, many suicides are done in twisted and bizarre ways, but they all have pain in common... Clearly she was hanging onto her beloved dog for dear life as her way of staying here, so may she rest in peace now and please find ways to forgive yourself because it had nothing to do with your sister or you I promise 🐾💐

I'm a new subscriber, this song is something I could relate to a lot in Highschool and just school in general. I was tormented a lot, even betrayed. Those things sent me "off the edge" my Mom and Step Dad were hard on me so at the time I thought they hated me... but now I look back and realise that it was tough love the whole time. They kept me "grounded" to protect me. I never got into drugs are parties like some of my friends unfortunately fell too. But it was my Mom and step Dad's strictness that kept me in my place, kept me in line.
I almost did, but didn’t want to put my parents through it, so countless times a day, every day, between my 7th grade year until my mid-twenties, I prayed and wished for something to take my life... It’s such a brutal road to walk. Thank you for sharing this, Shaq, and thank you for your comments.
One of my friends was going through so much and I asked him if he wanted to hang out and just like in the video he was going to do it right before I asked if he wanted to hang out, I ended up finding the notes and we got him help, he is now in a really good place and texts me whenever he feels like he might be getting back to that place

This song hits home for me, seeing back in elementary school at 11 yrs of age, after I was diagnosed with Epilepsy, I was bullied endlessly to the point of ending everything. I don't know how, but someway I managed to pull myself out of the dark and stop myself from doing the action. I now am 25 and while I still deal with many challenges, I have gotten to experience so many things I never would've done if I had done the deed.
Suicide is not the answer. Tough times will come, but will also pass, and you will be rewarded

depression isnt suicide. It can be as small as not wanting to go to a sit down dinner at a restaurant or not wanting to wash the dishes tonight. it gets worse when it goes on for months.

She was so beautiful but so broken. I was only a junior in high school and she was a sophomore. I was to young to really understand that all the crazy stuff she did were cries for help.
I still think of her, especially on beautiful spring days. It was so beautiful out when we found out. Her best friend broke away from us and ran to her house a few blocks away because she didn't believe Susan was gone. We could hear her the inhuman screams she let out when she got there.
I will never forget that day and it's been 20 years.
I was down bad for 8 months there- nearly took my life- looking back on that this video does a really good job of making you feel like you are depressed like the siblings for the entire video- it really helps you grasp what they are going through even if you aren’t depressed.
I love that this video wasn't the typical reaction video. This was a real emotion video that wasn't gimmicky in the slightest. Thanks for this video. This video actually means something to me. Lost a good friend of mine 3 years ago that decided he had had enough and that there was only one way to end the pain. Its not selfish its not a weakness. For some people, its the only way they can end their pain and it breaks your heart. Sometimes you just need a friend.
As someone who personally knows about fighting back demons on the daily, I greatly appreciate the words you speak because you use your voice which is heard by MILLIONS to elaborate on a topic that most people don't understand. Ive had two people ive known for a long time tragically take their own life. One by the rope and the other by speeding and hitting a car on his motorbike. R.I.P Tamal and R.I.P Adin. Both tragically taken way to early and in the most sad heartbreaking ways. They say it never heals the pain it just passes it on to everyone else and that couldn't be more true. I miss them every day both amazing people.

First I just wanna say that I'm not fully through the video, but just from the beginning of it I love how genuine your reactions are to this video. Ive spent alot of time in that place where you feel like there is no other way out. Its a darkness that just doesn't let you see anything good you can have in your life. It clouds your mind and chokes your reasoning to the point your brain needs a way to escape as quickly as it can.
Now I need to say this too, anyone who is reading this and is thinking about doing it. I wont try and talk you out of it, but I do beg you to just read this and think on it. Suicide is the quick option to solve the problem, and despite what people say it isn't the cowards way out because it takes alot of strength to go through with it. But that is my point, you have the strength to want to end it, you have more than enough strength to beat that darkness then. I swear to you, it does get better. You can't see it yet but I promise you it does. And suicide doesn't take the pain away, all it does is transfer it to someone else.
I dont know you, ill probably never speak to you in person, but I've been there and I want you to know you are loved and you not being here will place that pain on someone else who loves you too. IT GETS BETTER

You truly never know what someone is going through or the pain that they are in.
You can't know what someone else is experiencing or the pain they are in as we are all different and experience things differently. After all no two people are truly exactly the same. We were all made to be unique and are just that. And life is experienced in different ways by people....no ones life is the exact same as anyone else's. So to ridicule someone for their life being different or them being the way they are is unfair as none of us can know exactly how life has shaped us or what we are truly feeling.
For me there is sadly not a single month or even week where I don't think about offing myself. Every day I fight my demons. There were even two dark days where I did attempt to well off myself. Somehow I survived those days. Depression sucks, inner demons suck, and sometimes life sucks. I'm lucky I survived and that I have the friends that I do as they have helped me fight on. Without them right now I'm pretty sure I would not be here...no joke. Even today I thought about offing myself...but I didn't as I just don't want others to shoulder the pain I'm in right now so I fight for them too.

What you are doing is beautiful. You know the pain you feel and don't want other to have to hurt how you do. As someone who is suffering in a similar way, what I have learned is your family and friends would prefer you tell them how you are hurting and help you carry the pain than see anything happen to you. So don't be afraid to talk to them.
Otherwise if you want don't be afraid to message me and talk to me. We may not know one another but I'd happily listen more if you want to get everything out in the open. ❤️
I'm glad you've reacted to this. I've also lost a lot of close people, that be friends from school, or family members to suicide... I'm not even going to mention how many of my peers from my Class of 2012 is alive to this date, I know the number and it's... words can't describe it, man. I've thought about it numerous of times, especially when I lost my mom. But, I have really super close friends and family members that brought me back, and helped me come out of my very dark thoughts. It is true what they say... your inner demons truly do eat away at your soul at your weakest times.
I'm truly thankful that I have never had any addictive personality, or anything of that sorts. Because, I almost became addicted to alcohol, and eventually I was craving to get a better high than marijuana. But, I've always said to myself, even when I was deep in that time of my life, these words, talking to myself in third person:
"Keep walking forward, with your head held above your shoulders, no matter the pain and suffering you endure, Ryan. Uncle Bill and Mom will always be with you, in your heart, and your mind. The moment you stop, and give in, you're letting your demons win, they will laugh at you." I say more, but the moral of my message (and I also tell others this I know that is going through stuff themselves. And, I mean, anyone that is reading this... this is for you, too.) is that... Keep your head up, and please, please, please tell anyone that is close to you what is truly going on. And that's the thing... tell those that you know have your back 100%, not someone whose just an acquaintance to you. Don't let your demons win, and keep being strong. I went on for maybe.... about 2 years before I finally truly opened up to my 2 best friends, and they literally hugged me for quite a long time. I reserved and kept everything bottled up because, I thought I could just overcome it, and also with the whole "I'm a man, I have to be strong. I can't show emotions", but I just couldn't anymore. So I encourage EVERYBODY to talk.
But with that out of the way, I really enjoy your content. To be honest, you're one of the only reaction CZcamsr's I actually enjoy watching. The fact you care about each and every one of your fans, as well as like... you refer your channel as "Us" and not just you, it speaks volumes. The energy you have, and how funny you are, man whenever I get a notification from you, I click instantly haha.

When I was 15 i was bullied very badly to the point I'd given up, I tried hanging myself with a skipping rope but me being short somewhat saved me. Then a few months later I started cutting. My parents put me into counseling and that helped. Just having someone to talk too, to tell them what's up. I've been cut free for a very long time but stuck with the scars that serve as a reminder of how close I was to giving up so to speak.
